5Stunning architecture outside and such a grand interior. Such opulence in the use of marble and precision in the mosaic tile work could never be afforded today. A beautiful sight. Loved finding the Peace Convention plaque especially since our visit was right before the 2021 presidential switch from Trump to Biden, a time of such unrest between the Democrats and Republicans.
Visiting the Willard Office Building was one of my most memorable experiences in Washington DC. Very classy. It has very nice decorations during Christmas. Highly recommend visiting during Christmas time.
History come alive. If only the walls could talk, there so much to see in this very historic hotel where President Lincoln and other Presidents and famous people have stayed.
Off the charts experience. Had tea in Peacock Alley inside the willard. Made reservations in October for Dec. 12th. Exquisitely decorated for Christmas. Sat across from a lady wearing Loui Viton shoes. $1100.00. The tea cost $75.00 Per person for 3 course tea. If you've never experienced a High Tea this would set the bar. Highly recommended.
