Yoga Heights Takoma reviews
13I’ve really been enjoying this studio! Clean, relaxing with great and knowledgeable teachers.
I got a 6 month membership while I was living in the Silver Spring/Takoma area, and, while I was initially nervous about the cost and how frequently I'd use it, I find myself heartbroken now that I am moving away and can no longer be a part of this vibrant yoga community. I only went to the Takoma location and did online classes - the studio was clean and well-lit. With the help of the teachers, I was able to take my yoga practice to the next level (I would consider myself intermediate, with a steady 1-2x/week practice for the past 5 years). I loved that many teachers offered hands-on assists (for those open to that), which helped me recognize when my alignment was subtly off, and just generally contributed to a connected, community experience. Special recommendations/shout outs to Jonathan's 10 am Wednesday morning flow and Stacy's Friday 5: 15 pm flow: these two classes brought a sense of magic, fun, and strength to my weeks. And many thanks to Naomi for being the most welcoming front desk assistant, and Serena for being so responsive and kind to my email inquiries.
Yoga Heights is awesome! The studio is always clean, inviting, and not too crowded. I'm fairly new to Yoga, and I've loved trying different styles and teachers here. They have a lot of offerings, and even a summer camp for kids.
Noted a few issues: customer service is very difficult to reach if there is an issue. Additionally, online courses have had technical issues. May not be a great fit for those with tight work schedules.
However, management did contact me after my cancellation request and provided a refund to cover the virtual classes where there were issues. It's a great location. I hope it improves!
A welcoming studio with great instructors (my favorite is Jonathan!). There are two individual bathrooms for changing, and one has a shower; I've never encountered any competition for the shower. The front studio (the only one I've used) is light-filled, spacious, and comfortable.
I love love love the community of students and teachers at Yoga Heights! It’s always super welcoming with a variety of class types and levels for whatever you might be feeling. The studios are beautiful and always clean and organized. I am so grateful for such a friendly, supportive space in my life!
Love my Yoga Heights classes online! Just what I need to work out my arthritis aches and pains. The instructors are excellent at giving varied suggestions and encouragement! Thank you Yoga Heights
This is a very special community! Every class we’ve joined is fantastic, and Matthew’s restorative and yin are our favorites.
Love love this spot! I recently moved to the area and I am so grateful to have discovered Yoga Heights. The studio is clean and cozy and the staff is super friendly/knowledgable - coming here has quickly become part of my weekend routine.
If you're thinking about checking out this studio, do it. No regrets!
The classes are varied, the space is clean, and calm and the instructors are well-trained, kind and inspiring. And I have always found parking! Love this studio.
This is my first time practicing yoga and everyone here has been super supportive and friendly. Definitely a welcome space that made me feel like I could join at a beginner’s level. The YH family has given me the confidence to continue learning yoga rather than giving up!
This is a super friendly and welcoming place. There are lots of in-person classes and the teachers are all excellent, with lots of creative variations to the flow routine. The studio space is lovely and the classes are small. I’ve taken classes all over DC and like this the best.
