Super good food. We shared small dishes which were very good. Very popular restaurant and a lot of people when we were there. Service was quick and pleasant.

Zaytinya is a treat!
We enjoyed the Restaurant Week menu.
Mediterranean food was a delight
The food = fantastic
Service = professional & on their game
High energy, busy restaurant but easy to have a conversation (not too loud).
Great evening- worth your time & $$

I will be asking for their brussel sprouts on my death bed! Absolutely amazing! Must try! Even if you hate brussel sprouts you have to try them! Overall food was great! The only thing is I would recommended ordering 2-3 plates per person vs their suggested 3-4. I was quite full after 2 and a lot of pita bread!

Food and interior is good but toilet is disgusting. With all kind of saints on the walls and full trash cans.

Definitely get a reservation. Very energetic, fun, bustling restaurant. We dined during winter restaurant week and did the pre fix dinner which was incredible. The crispy brussel sprouts were amazing. Our bartender was excellent under pressure of a busy bar and she kept a good conversation going with our group and other patrons.

Ate here for restaurant week and while the food was good, there was nothing amazing about it. There were aloe of options and nothing was too bad, but everything tasted just ok. Appetizers were good, the salmon lacked salt, and the salads etc were pretty bland.

Our weekly lunches finds us at Zaytinya, one of José Andrès long standing DC staple that’s weathered many bubbles. The place is gorg’ and the ppl are stylish. Tho after many many years it’s become a little bridge-n-tunnel and a bit of a tourist trap. That said, there isn’t many other good options in the vicinity that isn’t another JA establishment so why not enjoy this place.

We came for lunch and it was BUSTLING. Reservations are highly recommended. Once sat, we started w their ME G&T, fantastic and went on to apps, which were humus, roe dip and olives. All came in a matter of seconds. Our 2nd round took a while so we went for our main dishes. Brussel sprouts, FF, meatball stew. Branzino, lamb, and chicken. The chicken is a KNOCKOUT. Then meatball, lamb n branz, the Brussels kinda stunk and the FFs were fine. In all it was great but they take a LONG time for food to come. We love them still tho, musta been the weather. It was 81°… in January! Everybody and their mother was out today.

Food was amazing! Great place for sharing and trying different dishes. Lots of veggie options. The waiter made some recommendations and these were absolutely fantastic. Also, the ambiance is very vibrant.
I love it!

A crazy restaurant, one dish better than the other, a wide variety.
I'm not a fan of Mediterranean food, but this place is amazing.

Absolute perfection. The type of place where you bite into the food and make an audible noise. We came in on a busy weekend and they accommodated us at the bar quite easily. Bartender (s) were fun and friendly, service perfect, drinks well-poured, and food was just incredible. They even asked about allergies without prompting (I have none, but my friend does.)

For Turkish food lovers, this place is a gem! We indulged in the lamb and Adana kabab, both of which were delicious. However, the portion size was a bit on the smaller side. If you have a hearty appetite, just make sure to order double.

I always like to come to this place when I come to DC. The food is always great, but this time they put us outside without asking us and it was freaking cold.

After a long day I happened to be walking the street by Zaytinya and stopped by for a quick pick me up.

I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome.

The bartender, Camila, was quick to make drink recommendations based on my tastes and gave me an amazing cocktail.

She was funny, charming and friendly to the point that before I knew it I was ordering food when I hadn't initially planned to do so.
The food was tasty and flavorful as well as unique.

Before I walked in I'd only intended on grabbing a quick beer but the service from Camila was so friendly and welcoming I couldn't help but have a full meal which was amazing. Thank you.

Stellar atmosphere, top notch service and Chef's tasting menu is out of this world! Large variety of vegetarian dishes. Expensive, but worth every penny!

Upscale Mediterranean/middle Eastern food.
The food is realy tasty, although the falafel was a bit drier then I liked.
Many vegetarian and vegan options, generous portions of pita bread, excellent salads.
My carnivorous friends were also happy.

Busy place with great energy. The apricot yogurt dessert was delicious! The chicken lemon soup had great ingredients but was too salty for me.

The food was amazing. I will remember it for a long time, and want to go back even though I don't live in DC. They were very busy, so we had to sit outside, which was unfortunate in January. They had heaters but it still wasn't comfortable. However, I would do it again for the food.

I booked this venue for my wedding anniversary and unfortunately the service was not good. I informed them that it would be an anniversary celebration and they did not seem to be aware. Even though we had a reservation set ahead of time we had to wait for a table to be ready. We were passed between 3 different servers who lost track of our requests. The tables were pretty close to each other and servers were reaching over us to serve other tables next to us. There was a significant gap in time between when we were given half of the appetizers and then the main courses. My wife asked multiple times for fresh pita to be given but sadly it was forgotten each time leading to frustration and a desire to leave. When my wife shared her disappointment with a staff member, that staff member decided to debate her and not validate her concerns.

I would not recommend this place for any special occasions as it is possible you may get lost in the shuffle. We generally are patient with any restaurant staff but this restaurant really took advantage of our polite nature and seemingly pushed us to the back of the line in regards to service.
