Meineke Car Care Center, Wilmington DE

I have a Honda Civic and a few weeks ago by exhaust pipe broke. It was like 3 inches off the ground, I was upset but my car still drove and it make a lot of noise. However I didn’t mind the noise because I just pretended I was a race car driver. Sadly, it rained one dark and stormy night and it fell on the ground completely. I spoke to Nick over at Meineke and explained to him what happened. He said they would be glad to help me. He told me I can drop it off anytime and he told me they had a drop for my. I got it towed there in the morning and Chuck called with the. Whoever did my car installed my catalytic converter backwards. Not only that but my O2 sensor was messed up. Honestly I don’t remember what those are or what they do but I do know it was a lottta. I told Chuck I would get it done but another time and was there sometime else they could do in the meantime. He spoke with CJ (my tech) and they came up with another plan that was less money but told me I would need to take care of it in the next few month. I sighed a deep sigh of relief and they fixed my car. It didn’t make noise, so I could no longer pretend to be a race-car driver. Oh yes and Chuck gave me a printout that detailed the problem and what they did. Thanks guys oh yes it was all done in one day. They always answered the phone when I called and kept me abreast. I think I called twice and went up there once.

Fast, prompt, curious, professional, prices are fair, and everytime I go there they fix exactly what they are supposed to fix and nothing more. I really appreciate mechanics and business that are like that. You can trust them.

The team at this location was very friendly and knowledgeable! They got me in for an oil change right away and I paid exactly what I would expect for this service.

Wow after reading all the bad reviews ill keep looking I was looking for a place I can trust my car in the hands of for an oil change and if I liked the work I would continue to bring my car for services I've always taken my car to a dealership for oil change then after it was completed they come out with this long piece of paper in front of everybody saying well you need this that and the third im sick and tired of these mechanics tryna take advantage of women

Had no problem been a yr since used their service. They did gd and fast service for me this time around!

My appointment and when I arrived there a rude guy basically kicked me out from the store. I didn’t get the service or an apology. I get the service in jiffy lube. Never come back to that store and it’s a shame because I’ve been doing all the services to my car there.

I will never be back! My first time coming here and I asked for a normal oil change and the guy gave me synthetic oil! On a 2003 car! (Not knowing until now) I went there again when I was suppose to plus when I checked my oil it was all gunky and gooy (definitely wasn’t the norm.) & that’s when I realized they did synthetic not basic! Ever since then my car has been blowing white smoke out the exhaust & not running right. WILL NEVER BE BACK! They don’t care about their professionalism, quality, value or anything! Never seen such a thing.

If I could put 0 I would. They misdiagnosed the issue I have with my truck, charged me $80 just for that. Then commenced to charge me $660 for the parts and labor. I was extremely unhappy with the quote so I bought the parts they say we're causing my issue and had another mechanic put them in. All that to find out that it's a whole other issue all together with my truck. EXTREMELY displeased with this company.

It was okay the guys was very nice. Only issue was the prices was extremely high I found all the parts I needed for my car online and at autozone cheaper

Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The gentleman that changed my oil showed me how to check my oil in my car. Front desk staff very nice. I have servicing at the dealership but Meineke has gained a new customer.

I have been going to this particular meineke for a while now. I had to go somewhere else to have my oil changed properly. My timing chain had broke due to the fact that i wasnt recieving the proper oil in the car. In fact the filer wasnt even changed and the bolt to the oil pan was stripped. I pit my trust into this establishment and had to have a 1600 dollar repair done. I also have purchased a lofetime warrenty for brakes on my car when calling for the service to be done at first i was told i was in the system and only have to pay foe labor now im being told that o have to bring the receipt and may have to pay extra for any other work that is not included swith the brakes such as rotors.of i had all the brake work including the rotors done there why would i have to pay for a lifetime warrenty along with labor and new rotors. Very confusing and dissappointing way to do business

Scheduled an appointment online for an 11: 30 oil change I arrived 8 minutes late due to traffic but called and let them know. Upon my arrival I was greeted and checked in he let me know there was one person in front of me I walked out at 12: 36. Service was fast and professional definitely recommend!

I chose Meineke in Elsmere for a basic oil change. The employee at the front desk greeted me warmly, and quoted me a price up front after going out to get the specs on my car. I was the first customer there on a Saturday morning, hoping to be in and out. Overall, I waited about 40 minutes, but was able to use a coupon that took $10 off my service. Best of all, they didn’t try to up sell me on a new air filter or cabin filter, wiper blades, etc, which is always the most uncomfortable part of the transaction for a woman. I would definitely recommend, and I will be back!

Dropped in to get my car checked out for needed repairs. Received Ouick, Quality Service. Will be returning to have repairs done!

Excellent service as usual. I travel from Newark to go to Elsmere just to get great service. It's worth it!

Excellent customer service! Attentive and diligently working employees despite having few employees the day I visited them.

Had a terrible Meineke experience replacing an exhaust pipe. The welds around the flex pipe were only welded on the bottom half of the pipe resulting in a massive leak at the top of the pipes that lacked any welding. Returned twice to the shop to have the exhaust leak repaired. Some type of exhaust putty was applied on the top of the pipes which blew off in a day. First I was told it was tough to weld the top of the pipe and next was told the leak was due to a hole in the pipe. Crawled under with an inspection mirror to find NO holes and located the exhaust leak from the pipe with no welds. Attached are pictures of their work and exhaust putty residue in that area in place of proper welding. Now the exhaust fumes enter the car at a faster rate than before the repair. Need to find another muffler shop to have the job done right! Take note of this quality repair from Meineke.

I had an appointment scheduled for an oil change, I arrived a little early they took all my information and actually took my car back. I went down street had breakfast and it was down by the time I returned. The guys are very nice and professional at this location. I will be going back whenever I need car services.

Could improve customer service by placing someone at front desk who is more courteous and communicative. Demeanor of person at front desk was off-setting. Will not use service not recommend.
