I drove specifically to the store to buy shoes, associates were attending to other customers. After a lengthy wait and no acknowledgment I’ll go somewhere else.

I recently purchased a pair of Brooks running shoes in August and I was assisted by Tommy. He was most helpful and impressed me with his knowledge of his products and despite the fact that he had several people to wait on at once, he was attentive and efficient. This is my second pair of shoes I have purchased from this location and I will be back for more!

Seriously, if you are a runner you HAVE to shop here. Each employee every time I have come has helped me out in picking the right shoe. I’ve never experienced picking out shoes like this before! My mile times have been faster, my stride has improved and my overall body just feels better even after long runs. These guys know their shoes! I will be a lifelong customer and so will my family!

Unbelievably slow service and when you finally get someone to start helping you, they leave for someone else and don’t return. Highly suggest going to a shoe store that'll take the time to fit you and give you the assistance that you deserve. They'll also have a larger shoe selection than this place. This is the second time this has happened to me at the store. Won't be back for a third.

Giving 5 stars because there’s no option for 6. The service is second to none, I read the reviews before arriving and I was not disappointed. Super friendly and knowledgeable. I walked in with my daughter and said I’m looking for some running shoes. Next thing I know my daughter is being sized, getting a 3d print of her feet & doing laps in the store testing out a wide variety of shoes that were brought out. Couldn’t say enough good things, highly recommend this place.

Just got home from a great fitting with Steve in San Marcos. I highly recommend him.he helped me tremendously with my special foot problem.all the latest diagnostic equipment plus personalized service.you can't get that on the websites like Zappos (where I usually buy). I give him 5 stars easily.try it and compare it to online shopping.there's no contest! Thanks vert much Steve. Richard

I have nothing but great remarks about 1st Place and the staff that works there. I was training for my first half marathon, and was fitted for shoes. I hit some bumps with the shoe style, which is not any fault of the store! When I had a manufacture defect with a pair, the store was willing to go above and beyond when the manufacture wouldn’t. I’ve suggested 1st place to any new runner I meet and will continue to do so!

Awesome run. The gator bull dog run was awesome. This is the place to go to get fit and meet other people trying to be fit
