2080 Ocean Drive Condo, Hallandale Beach FL

We have been coming to 2080 for over 10 years. Over this time, I have seen an improvement in the management, the staff, and the building. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The beach, pool, and tennis court are excellent. It was built in 2002 and so it is in very good shape, and they maintain it well. Congratulations to the whole team at 2080.

We’ve been staying at this building for 4 months but lately things went seriously down the hill. The regular beach guys who help with umbrellas are gone for a several days and the whole beach situation is a mess. The backup guy is nowhere to be found in the morning. And whenever you find him he will refuse or forget to give you an umbrella hence you will be left cooking under the sun with your toddlers. Most people are paying over $5k a month to stay here, but, unfortunately service leaves much to be desired. The building itself is pretty decent, yet very far from anything and you’ll definitely need a car. The neighborhood around it isn’t walkable at all. The delivery people are not allowed to get upstairs and leave your food/groceries behind the door. The beach has been nice in June, but in July and August it’s full of seaweed… Constantly. I’d have given it a solid 3 starts if it wasn’t for a horrible beach situation over the last several days.

I stayed here for 2 months, I had a great time and would come back. However the amenities closed way to early and I was hoping that the pool would be open at night. Either then that the area didn't have very much to do around it but it was calm and safe I would come back and highly recommend it for a chill spot to come on vacation. I will be coming back soon hopefuly!

I live here full time and love it here. Quiet beach and well managed condo. One of the few condos on Hallandale Beach built after the year 2000. Dog friendly, plenty of parking, gym with ocean view, pool, tennis court, and 24/7 front desk staff.

February-March, 2020.
We just returned from a month staying in this building. The building itself is fairly well maintained. Pool and beach are very nice, the lobby clean.
However:
-There is a shortage of beach chairs and umbrellas on busy days, very frustrating.
-The Peloton bikes in the gym don't work unless you have a subscription
-$10 for using the BBQ? I find that excessive, not to mention you can only use it until 5: 00

The unit we stayed in (806) was roomy enough and comfortable space-wise. However:
-Some outlets did not work
-The appliances need updating (microwave beeps randomly; pod cannot be expelled in dishwasher)
-Maintenance was not taken care of - e.g, broken cistern handle in bathroom, broken shelf in pantry, dining chairs torn and in very bad shape
-Kitchen not well stocked at all! - very cheap and sparse cutlery, almost no cooking utensils, not enough plates, no cleaning supplies like a broom! We had to buy our own
-The mattress on the pullout sofa bed is beyond uncomfortable

This unit needs maintenance and upgrading.
It is worth mentioning that there is nowhere to walk. No green spaces nearby, no shops or parks nearby, everything is a drive away.
I would not stay here again.

My company rented approximately 10 units here for me and my coworkers for 2 months. The location and view were nice with a great pool. The service here on the other hand was horrible. The staff were useless. It took DAYS for us to get our key cards to move around the complex. A barcode is needed on your vehicle to go in and out the garage. After asking every evening (In person) for a week, to no avail, I finally gave up. So every time I left the condo I had to get out of my car to intercom the desk to let me in. The faucets leaked, the toilets clogged, the balcony door didn't open without 2x people pulling on it. For the money we spent it was DEFINITELY NOT worth it and will not be returning

Came to visit family for a few months as renters. They actually got me into wanting to stay. The pool and gym was perfect, clean and quite condominium. The staff is friendly and funny only thing missing is a cafe. Would recommend for a get-away by the beach.
