We moved in this apartment with roaches everywhere. Exteminator came to my unit a few days later only splash some chemicals on minor areas in the kitchen only. This procedure did not last for 2 minutes and said I'm done. Roaches are still in the unit. This is a terrible nightmare.

I genuinely had a positive experience with 385Rent. I lived at Urbana which was a quiet apartment off of Hayden Road. I never had any issues in my apartment and if I did, maintenance was quick and professional in solving my issues. My rent cost was reasonable for the location and newly renovated apartments. I am still waiting on my security deposit so not sure if they will give me back the full amount but I did pay for a professional cleaner for move-out as required by management.

Management tries and takes advantage of students and charges unfounded fees. Read your lease carefully and stand up for unjustified policies and costs. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for student housing.

After I moved out, 385 mixed up photos of units and mistakenly charged me almost $700. They reached out and revised these charges. Nonetheless, they enforce tenants to get professional cleaning or they withhold the security deposit. Additionally, they sent a email out a month before move out saying we needed to hand in the keys and move out by 12pm on July 31st, or they would charge for each hour after that. July 31st was the Monday of finals week. I turned in the keys before 12 and was finishing moving out at around 1pm when a lady with a clipboard came by and started threatening that they would charge me $200 for each additional hour I was there. There is nothing in the lease staying I needed to be out at a certain time on July 31st. Also they really should take professional action to eradicate the roaches that are in the houses at the cottages at Cumberland forest.

This is one of the worst rental companies I have ever dealt with. They have absolutely no idea what is going on in their own office. I was set to sublease somebody's apartment, and for two weeks they told me that it was ready and available for me to move in, and then three days before I was supposed to move in they told me they had already allowed somebody else to move in. This happened on two separate occasions with two different subleases with this company. They told me that it wasn't available 3 days before my former lease ended so I was forced to sign a full lease with them. They told me that they would be able to sublease it for me since I only needed three months, but to this day they still have not found anybody and I have now paid two months' worth of rent on an apartment I am not living in, potentially longer. Please avoid living anywhere run by this place at all costs.

Applied a month ago and have spoken to several people. Until now, no actually update on my application. I have been told someone will call me back but no one calls. I was told the Flats are full by one agent then another told me there is nothing but space. I don’t even know what to believe anymore. I am going to seek elsewhere. I can’t take any business seriously when they give a potential renter the run around and different explanations.

After living at Campus Walk Apartments and living miserably, my husband and I decided to move to The Cottages at Glenda and it was so refreshing. We moved in June 2021 when my son was 6 months old. The last year here we’ve realized the neighborhood is very calm and quiet. There is a train yard in the backyard lol but we don’t mind at all. The price for the 2/2 unit is very affordable and overall it’s a nice duplex apartment. It offers everything we need and more. We also greatly appreciate the attentiveness of Jose (maintenance) and our property manager Jennifer. We have never had any issues with either of them and they are always extremely helpful.
