A Fish Called Avalon, Miami Beach FL

We picked this place through OpenTable because they were rated five stars there and it was no lie. We added that it was it our anniversary and we were welcome with two glasses of champagne so sweet! The Chilean Seabass daily special was the best I have ever had in my life And the twin lobster tails did not disappoint garlicky green beans, creamy mashed potatoes all extremely savory would definitely make a point to come back here again the next time we visit Miami South Beach.

This was such a surprise and amazing experience! The food was incredible. The scallops and fish were on point. I haven't had such a great meal and service in a long time.
This GEM of a restaurant should be on everyone's to go list!

The place is beautiful from the bar and the comfortable seats to the yellow napkins that accent the decor. The ambiance is relaxed and elegant. The food was outstanding. Delicious to taste and a feast for the eyes as well. The manager and the staff made us feel welcomed and we were taken care off in every possible way. I have already recommended this restaurant to my friends and family and I will most definitely come back.

The visit was amazing. Everyone were very friendly. Since I am a solo traveler, some of the staff members suggested to help me take some photos near the iconic car. Also, I used the waiter's advice to try one of the most delicious desserts I've ever had.

I proposed to my gf last weekend and the GM not only accommodated us at the restaurant but helped me with the planning every step of the way. Worked with us on our reservation time, secretly followed us to the beach to photograph, provided us with champagne, excellent food & service, and all at a stunning location. Everything about it was magical. We highly recommend this place!

The food was absolutely amazing and I loved the taste of the Ahi and the Mushrooms, also they have this jalapeño margarita here that’s the best in the world.

My friend and I were in from Texas and wanted some great Seafood and atmosphere so our hotel said, “then go to A Fish Called Avalon! ” It was a weekday and not as busy so we sat on the Patio and enjoyed the music and people watching! We ordered multiple things and shared. The Curry Shrimp, Chopped Salad and Truffle Sweet Potato Mash were AMAZING! I am still thinking of the Truffle Mash and could eat it as a meal by itself! And then there was the award winning Key Lime Pie…. SAVE Room! Our waiter and management were so friendly, professional and prompt! They were GREAT! I highly recommend this great jewel of Miami!

Delicious food, excellent server, accommodating to make food for our child with food allergies. We had the appetizer Bang, Bang Shrimp, entrees Macadamia Nut Crusted Snapper, Crab & Herb Crusted Grouper, Beet Salad with Sweet Potato Basil Soup, child had Chicken with Mashed Sweet Potatoes. And their Key Lime Pie is a must eat! All the dishes had excellent flavors & beautiful presentations.

Only constructive feedback is that when we initially walked up the stairs to the restaurant, the gentleman in all black at the hostess stand made no attempt to greet us, so we proceeded inside to the desk thinking that was the hostess stand, but then we were told that was check in for the hotel.

We came here on a whim and were so pleasantly surprised. From the moment our waiter Alejandro approached us, we knew it was going to be a special night. We had the special for $60/person that included an appetizer, entree and dessert. Every dish was chef’s kiss perfection. The Bang Bang shrimp was exceptional, the Citrus Chicken and the Macadamia Crusted Salmon were probably the best meals we have ever had! The drinks were good, but the food, atmosphere and service stood out so much that we couldn’t stop raving about it. This is a must visit, must go back, must keep going back kind of establishment. Please do not hesitate to go!

A place on the Beach that has great food and service! The Octopus and Key Lime Pie are a must. Marvin is a wonderful server, the staff was super friendly and the manager Giorgio was top!

Exceptional! The warmth from each member of the Avalon team made my dinning experience one I would never forget. The fresh fish and various tastes are a clear staple. I would highly recommend if you’re in south beach and looking for savoury dishes with class.

Very tasty food, we had branzino and tuna tataki, but you can tell that the kitchen is good and the dishes that we saw go by had a very good presentation. Live music and views. Totally recommended

Amazing place. Food one of the Best. Especially recommend north atlantic wild mussels and the chowder. Pls dont forget to finish with Lime cake.
And the Alejandro - the Man is making the evening special - the way he is taking care of the guests is unique. Unforgettable place with the old song sings live.

We enjoyed so much our experience! I cannot say enough about the culinary skills… fish was perfectly cooked (and the whole plate was exceptional), paella was like never seen, cocktail was perfectly balanced. And it’s rare to have real deserts in the region. You have to try the key lime pie and the apple pie! Also, the Service was so nice. We just cannot wait to go back. Thank you again for your hard work!
