A to Z Pediatrics, New Port Richey FL

Dr. Porcelli was extremely rude and did not respect our decision as parents to delay vaccinations. She proceeded to tell us how dangerous it was to delay and told graphic stories in order to scare us into changing our minds.
She was the on call Dr at Trinity hospital and we had to have her office page her in order to show up to work so we could be discharged. She called my husband to find out why she was being paged, he explained that we were hours past our 24 hour discharge and were just one of many patients waiting to go home with our babies. She hung up on him and showed up 20 min later with a bad attitude. She took 2 min to poke around our baby then left without saying anything. Horrible bedside manner. Dr. Porcelli was the only negative experience we had at Trinity during our stay there. Leaving this review on her offices page so that her attitude and tardiness will be addressed. She is a great example of someone who cannot regulate herself emotionally, very concerning for an educated woman taking care of babies.

New parent here and picked this pediatrician and I'm not disappointed. The doctor is always so nice and excited to see my baby and Cindy is always amazing with my baby. We love Cindy.

I have a newborn who had had some trouble gaining weight. After multiple visits to them for weight checks I decided to reach out to a Lactation Consultant to see if they could help figure out what was happening since their doctors only recommended I supplement with formula and kept pushing more formula each visit. The LC immediately recognized a tongue tie that 3 pediatricians at A to Z missed for 5 weeks. We got that revised and we are caught up on our weight gain (5oz a week) and the doctor advised me to stop breastfeeding at night and only offer formula. I understand a baby not gaining weight is serious business but your only solution can’t be to stop breastfeeding and offer formula.

Aside from not noticing a clear tongue tie (based on what LC and pediactric dentist said) and their only solution being more formula (not even more breastmilk, more formula) we are in and out fast, never waiting for more than a couple minutes in the waiting room and in the office. The office staff are nice, nurses are wonderful and the doctors are pleasant during the visits.

Tarah will take her time and talk through things with you, if you disagree with her she will fully acknowledge what you are saying and respectfully hold her ground and continue to offer solutions. Her communication is direct but respectful and reassuring when needed. I feel confident with her handling my children’s visits.

Dr. Lokesh is very easy going and knowledgeable. He is fast but also takes his time if you have questions.

All the doctors here are super knowledgeable. Jennifer and Cindy and maria is the best and is always helpful. I been coming for so many years and wouldnt change.

Cindy and Jenn are always a pleasure to see when going in for an office visit with my children! They make you feel at home and welcomed! Thanks for all the hard work!

My kids have been going to this office for the past 5 and a half years. We have had nothing but great experiences with the doctors and nurses here. My son will be 6 in October and my daughter just turned 2 and I couldn’t imagine anyone else taking care of them. We love tarah and nurse Samantha so much and would recommend them to anyone!

Jennifer and Cindy are amazing they treat my kids as their own and are always on top of any and everything also Dr. Dasai she has been with my baby since birth they are the best!

My children have been going to A-Z since babies and they are teens now. Dr. Desai is absolutely amazing. She has been helping my teenagers with some struggles they have been having and continuously checks up on them. Maria is such a sweetheart! Cynthia and Jennifer are the best. These ladies care for my kids as if they were their own. I appreciate them so much for all they do for my kids.

We have always been very happy here. The staff and doctors are wonderful and very thorough.

My children have been going here since birth. I moved to Citrus county and I still drive to Pasco County for their appointments.

A-Z Pediatrics is amazing! The staff and the front desk is always so friendly to my daughter and I and the doctors and PA's are awesome! I have been going there for 8 years and they are always so accommodating and efficient! I wouldn't take my family anywhere else!

Just came in this morning for a last minute appointment. Tara, Sam and Jen and ALL of the staff is absolutely amazing! I been taking all 3 of my children to this office for over 5 years. I love this pediatric office!

Parents stay away from them. They are a bunch of QUACKS! I have worked in the medical field for a MANY YEARS and I have never seen a dr that has made so many false allegations to CPS. My daughters friend took her 3 month old to them due to a concern she had about bruising that was unexplained and was concerned. They took pictures and all and called CPS due to concerns of abuse. Once the worker came there alit was stated that there was ABSOLUTELY NO TRUTH TO THE REPORT she had to take her daughter back to this incompetent woman that calls herself a Dr.when the mom asked why she reported it basically was stated that it was a error and there must be a medical reason for the bruising. Which should have been explored first before jumping to the conclusion of ABUSE.this practice should be shut down and be ashamed for acting this way. I wouldn’t take a freaking babydoll to this place let alone a child.

We moved here in the summer of 2017. Took our girls here until today. Today was the last straw. Today we waited in the exam room for over 50 minutes before we decided to walk out. And when we did not one person said anything nor did they even try to stop us. Approximately 5 minutes after we left they called me on my cell phone and asked where we went. Well after being their since 11: 40am and it's now after 1: 00pm and I only get a 60 minute break we left. They begged me to come back and I said No enough is enough we are finding a new doctors office for all my my children. Other issues delt with:

Improper billing codes used to my insurance so they tried to make me cash pay for a visit.

Never do they call you back at your appointment time.

Trying to collect more than what our co-payment is.

Very hard to get medical records from them for other doctors who request them.

There #1 doctor left their practice to start his own. Too bad it's all the way in Spring Hill or I would have followed him!

This place is just continuing to get worse not sure why we stayed as long as we did as other parents we know and are friends with left awhile ago. I was just hate changing places and going through all the paperwork but I will do that just to not be put in a waiting exam room for over 50 minutes with not one person coming in to check on us or say anything! Just bad customer service.

Update: I didn't get the referral I needed for my son until I changed to a different Provider. And for my daughter it was not thanks to your office because no parent should beg a doctor the way I begged to receive the referrals needed. And on top of that I also received several referrals I needed from their new provider and NOW my kids are thriving and it is no thanks to this office. Also please stop calling about scheduling an appointment because My kids are never stepping into that office again.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! I have 2 kids with disabilities and they refused multiple times to provide referrals for them. After over a year of basically telling them my daughter needs help and I needed a speech referral they agreed for only that. Then my daughters therapist sent a letter to them requesting also help for me to get OT, neuro and PT. They always gave attitude towards me when I asked questions and treated me like I didn't know anything. For my son they basically did the same. I cannot recommend a place where they don't think on the best interest of the child. The issue is not the nurses or front end staff it's the doctors that are supposed to help us with provide better medical care for our children.

When I first started going to A-to-Z pediatrics, they were a good doctor, and I thought that they were truly up until recently. I took my children and for a routine follow up exam and a check up because my son had broken a bone and after that appointment, they proceeded to call CPS on me and lied to them about how I was medically neglecting my children. Once a CPS case was opened up I asked my worker to read the report off to me and it was riddled with lies that the doctors had told them then once I started going to these appointments doing the things that I was told that I needed to do the pediatrician continue to lie about the services that my children needed to my CPS worker. So that being said, I do not recommend this pediatrician it is a office filled with liars. I will no longer be going back, and quite frankly I hope this office gets shut down.
