A1 Medical Imaging Open MRI of Plantation

BEWARE! Hearing safety precautions are not properly in place! I didn't realize the EXCRUCIATING noise this machine makes. I have since researched that proper fitting earplugs (in addition to ear muffs if needed) are required for an MRI, and that the MRI technician is to ensure your hearing is protected through these means. Medical professionals also advocate for the "whisper test", where the MRI technician, out of eyeshot, whispers to the patient. If the patient hears through the ear protection, the protection is inadequate. The "ear plugs" provided me, were piped-in music from a flimsy headset. They were just given to me without ensuring proper fit/protection, which were loose and falling out. The noise from the machine was so deafening, I cried and was sick from the pain. The MRI technician was far from sympathetic or compassionate. Since this test was conducted, my migraine condition has worsened and I now have hearing damage. I never write reviews, but if I can help prevent someone from my horrible experience, then it is pertinent to get the message out to seek testing from a facility who takes the important, necessary measures of protecting their patients hearing.

Quick clean and comfortable I felt welcomed and comforted through my fear of claustrophobia.the tech and front desk was great Thanks Guys

I had a horrible experience at another place for MRI's. It was double the price and I waited forever! At A1 it was fast and easy and also a LOT cheaper.

As good as it could possibly be for getting an MRI. The staff was super friendly and they made me laugh when I was nervous. They are a very professional team.

Horrible. After an Ultra sound my Dr. Told me I needed specific MRI. I called this location.had information sent the them from my Dr. My MRI Appt was cancelled because of no insurance authorization. 3 days later I called office.still no authorization. I called my insurance.get the authorization number and provide it to Horizon. After 4 days of this they then tell me they don't do the particular MRI I need. 4 days of waisted time while I needed this emergency test. Thanks Cheryl and Donna.

Well the first impression is a lasting impression. It would help out tremendously if A1 Imaging name was on the Marquee outside verses seeing a law firms name. Very confusing and frustrating from the very beginning. One sign says Horizon another sign says A1. Which is it? Receptionist on a personal call.laughing.maybe she's on break?
