AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care, Sarasota FL

I went to an Auto Parts store who told me my starter was bad. I called Aamco and spoke with Manny. He is the best! Said to bring my vehicle in the next morning and he would look at it. The mechanic checked out the starter, alternator and the battery. I was from out of town so I was a little concerned on who to get it to fix it but Manny was so professional, courteous and wanted to be sure my car was fixed correctly the first time which they did! I would recommend this repair shop to anyone because they are trustworthy, timely, honest and they keep you informed of how the repairs are going! Great experience!

AAMCO Transmissions is awesome! Very knowledgeable and truthful advice, with a great attitude! Glad we chose to have our car serviced here. Will definitely come back for future needs as great friendships have now been developed.

Make sure they really check your cars. I took my truck and they didn't check anything, they just charged me to take it to another place and they gave me my problem.

This shop came recommended from the Firestone shop I get my tire rotations/alignments done at. Was planning a 700+ mile drive out of town and had an inspection. Firestone tells me the transmission has problems, recommended this shop.

Although it took a long time to get the car back- work seems to have been done well, and the shop even paid for the tow after the hoses from the new cooler were leaking.

Manny also was very kind and personable throughout the whole process. Love the Toyota TRD!

This place will rip you off so watch out! Had a misfire that they fixed months ago and they didn't even just fix what they should have for free but wanted to charge $500 for spark plug wires. Ended up fixing it myself because the wires were out of the harness and resting on a hot metal pipe which they should have seen! Put the wires in the harness and no misfire! So even if this place "fixed it" you will still have more issues down the road so they can get you back for your business. Horrible shop beware

Took a month to fix my car and I had personal items stolen from my car valued at $500 and owner did nothing to right this will tell people to never go here

Ian is so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. We were in a bind and he had no appointments available, yet grabbed a jack, crawled under our car, temporary fixed what was needed to get us on our way all for FREE! Great service and will definitely use his business in the future!

Good customer services. Good job. I have my daughter car repair quickly and not expensive with 18 months guarantee for free. And the better place is the AAMCO in Washington Ave, Sarasota, Florida. They will take care of your car.

I had a very pleasant and professional experience with AAMCO on Washington Blvd. Ian was a great teacher to me, explaining a lot about the effects of my blown engine mounts on my transmission. When I picked up my 13 year old vehicle after repairs it ran almost as smooth at the day I bought it. The price was also reasopnable for the work performed. I recommend this car center for your transmission needs.

Water pump and hose was replaced in fantastic mechanics who knows their stuff. My car was fixed within a day of dropping it off will highly recommend

Experience at Aamco was great from start to finish! They would clearly explain everything they were doing to diagnose and fix my transmission. Prices were great considering they had to rebuild my transmission and even fixed an issue at no cost to me bc they knew I've had a lot of issues with my car that has sucked a lot of money out of me and helped me out. Ian is awesome and makes you feel like a friend the minute you walk into their shop! Super friendly and definitely made my experience a lot less stressful. Highly recommend this Aamco!

Amazing job. They fixed my transmission in record time. The car drives like it’s brand new. I am so pleased with how fast i got my car back and the amazing job they did to get it back and shifting gears correctly. The car feels like it’s brand new. I highly recommend this place and will be back for my oil changes from now on. They put everywhere other place i have taken my car to shame. And it was worth every penny.
