In praise of Ability Rehabilitation, 4Nov’23]

Any doubts and any hesitations I might have inhabited following my doctor’s recommendation to call Ability Rehabilitation disappeared from the very moment the phone was answered; Julia was instantly my friend, aid, scheduler, engager in humor and joy, and was I now see, the very standard bearer for the warm-heartedness, yet professional commitment, that is the whole Ability team.

Joel Blanco, the lead, has that special gift, the gift all great teachers exhibit, and in this case, is able to not only inspire the learner’s mind, but also inspires him/her to have the body follow.

I now can clearly understand the point and purpose of the so-few visits: the therapist not only treats the problem you already know you have, but diagnoses issues and makes corrections for what you had either overlooked, forgot, feared, or had incorrectly habituated into a false accommodation. Joel spotted it all. I am inspired; I am committed to a new course of action from which I have already benefitted more than from any other course of action that I have attempted for the past two decades. Please take it from this old, old teacher: I highly recommend Ability Rehab with no reservations whatsoever.

Accompanied my mother for her therapy. The staff very friendly. Her therapist Joel was patient and very knowledgeable. He took time to explain every step and made her very comfortable.

Working with Joel Blanco and the whole team at Ability Rehab was an amazing experience. Joel and Selena helped me get back the complete use of my arm after an elbow surgery. They listened to my concerns and helped me reach my goals. I felt that they were invested in my recovery. The exercises were never repetitive, so I never got bored. They also gave me exercises to do at home. I highly recommend this physical therapy clinic!

I went to see my doctor about a hamstring injury that wouldn't heal. It would start to feel better, and then I'd pull it all over again. The doctor sent me to Ability, and I'm grateful that he did. Joel really knows his stuff. He quickly made a plan for my recovery and we got scheduled. Over the following month, I came to Ability twice a week, and they gave me homework to do between the visits. By the end of that month I felt amazing. I'm back to playing soccer with my friends and no longer afraid of blowing out that leg muscle. The other staff there are also friendly and helpful. I'm already recommending this facility to other people in my life.
