My husband has been seen 3 times. The staff has always been courteous and polite. The doctor is very nice as well. They are very prompt when returning phone calls and doing refills.

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE RECEIVED IN MY LIFE. If you are Latino, don't waste your time going there.
I had a confirmed appointment for my son on Friday, November 24 (day after Thanksgiving) and I was responsible enough to arriving on time, even though the doctor was an hour late. After an hour of waiting, a different patient arrives telling them that she had missed her appointment because she overslept, claiming she would be willing to wait to be seen. However, they called the lady first instead of calling us. We had already been waiting for an hour and we had arrived on time.
Seeing the lack of professionalism and respect towards me, I asked for an explanation but the front desk person completely ignored me while I was talking. She only looked at me after I requested a refund of my copayment. Without any other comment, she simply proceeded to issue the refund and never even try to apologize or show consideration based on my claim. She simply did not care about losing us as a customer. Again, I have never in my entire life been treated like this.

I'm sad to say that after 15 years, my family and I will be looking for another dermatologist office. We have always been private pay patients and paid our bills at the time of service. We knew exactly what would be charged since there was no need for insurance submission. On my wife's recent visit to the trinity office, she once again paid for her usual check up at the time of service. She goes twice a year and pays all fees up front (including labs). Several weeks later we received a bill for over $700 that was for uncovered services. Granted we are private pay so the fees did not have to be submitted to an insurance company. After two weeks of trying to contact the billing department and being transferred back and forth from the central billing to the trinity office, I finally was able to speak with a billing supervisor. After explaining the situation to her regarding the additional incurred charges (that we were not made aware of) she stated that "we have gone corporate" and that they have no way of knowing what the lab charges (granted they send out biopsies to the lab). The "gone corporate" statement certainly can explain a lot about the recent reviews stating the same, however it doesn't negate the obligation to provide the patient with full billing transparency.

I've been a loyal customer of Academic Alliance for several years, but unfortunately, my last several visits left me extremely dissatisfied. Since the change in ownership, the practice seems to have gone downhill in various aspects.

The front desk staff is not nearly as friendly as they used to be. During my last visit, they appeared disinterested and unwelcoming, to which, I overheard them complaining about a patient on the phone as well as another one of their office locations.

The increase prices in their products is a negative too. When they switched ownership everything increased and the “discounts” they now offer are not true discounts.

I hope the practice takes customer feedback into account and makes necessary improvements to regain its reputation for providing excellent care and a friendly environment.

My husband and I both had appointments with Dr Lam. Such a genuinely kind man who is passionate about his career. He wasn’t in a hurry, looked us in the eye, shook our hands and explained things to us. Great experience.

A great staff and pleasant at every visit in the Trinity office. An office that respects schedules and appointments have never had a long wait here.

The rudest office and appointment people ever. We will never step foot in there again. This after a huge melanoma operation. The Doctors need to know their office people are running off patients. If I could give them a 0 I would

It's not that service was bad
But expect a big bill for a 15 minute conversation with a prescription.

(If yours paying with out insurance)

The Trinity office is truly on point! The front staff are kind, and chat every time I’ve been there. There’s no rushing which is refreshing, Amy was great, she is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I tell everyone I know about this place!

I was told I had cancer on my leg (with no proven biopsy), it was removed as if it was. The office never reported my results to me, and when I called I was placed on hold for 20 minutes, and then hung up on. Eventually I did get thru to someone and was told it was not cancer, almost 2 months later. I still have a wound on my leg. My entire experience was subpar from start to finish. Will not be returning.
