Academic Appliance Repair Service, Miami Beach FL

The repair man Phillip came to my home and told my wife the non functioning dryer was not working because it was resetting. He said the load was too heavy and she should dry less clothes to not overwork the dryer and this is the way it works. He charged $95.00 for the fake information. The dryer stopped working again in less than a week. Phillip came back out no charge this time and he banged on the dryer moved it around and claimed the dryer was broken and it would cost more to fix than to buy a new one. Phillip final advice get a new dryer. I was able to finally look at the dryer and found that the door switch was bad I cleaned it with alcohol and it has been working great. I ordered a new switch 18.90 on Amazon dryer is now working. Phillip failed to test easiest part of the dryer to fix the (door switch) it actually comes off with a flat head screw driver and then you plug in the new switch. Its a 5 minute job. Phillip provided bad diagnostic service and very bad advice. A new dryer the same model that was fixed is $518.00. If you got service from this company get a second opinion.

We had an issue with our refrigerator, so I called Academic Appliance Repair Service, the tech showed up in about two hours, as we were told. He found the problem and now after 12 hours I can tell that my fridge came to normal, and even started producing ice, which wasn’t working before. It’s really difficult to find good service companies these days. You are the best. Thank you very much for your service.

Just wanted to say huge thanks to the company and technician Phil. My refrigerator died just when all my family came to visit. I needed this to be fixed asap. The tech guy was ontime and fixed it. Now my fridge is working perfectly. Definitely will use this company in the future.

Phil & Sergiy were fast, knowledgeable and thorough. They quickly identified the problem with my LG washer, offered their recommendation, clearly explained the process and payment - and finished the job in just over and hour. They will be the first people I call again.

I've used this company several times for my properties. They are easy to work with and communicate well which is a rarity in Miami! One piece of advice, send your model number number in advance especially if it's an older appliance. There is a good chance they can't even find the parts which at the point it's better to just buy a new appliance. Thanks to their team for being an honest bunch!
