Ace Hardware of Merritt Island reviews
17Very nice hardware store. Just needed some screws for my rv and was close to rv park. Friendly staff
Came in today to buy an item that was on sale in their ad that I received in the mail. The lady at the checkout said I couldn’t receive the sale price because I wasn’t a rewards member. I asked for her to sign me up and she said she couldn’t because she was out of “things”. I’m assuming she meant rewards cards. She refused to honor the sale price even though it was their fault that they were out of rewards cards for new customers. The customer service was atrocious. I certainly won’t be coming back to this location.
I do not recommend shopping here as they do not allow men with backpacks in the store, yet they are fine with women with purses. Basically saying that they don't trust men with sling bags, but do trust women with purses.
Other than not having Grade 8 black heat tempered bolts, it was good. They had mostly everything else we needed.
If you need advice, recommendations, info, comparisons, or just like to have more personal attention with always- friendly workers, this is the place. Really. Like in the dated commercials (there are helpful WOMEN at Ace, not just the ". The helpful hardware MAN"). ️
I was pleasantly surprised by how well-staffed this store was compared to a lot of places in town. Outstanding customer service. I walked out with what I needed plus a beautiful plant from the nursery.
My favorite Hardware store. I would not go to Lowe's or Home Depot if I could get it here. Just neighborly folks who help you as best they can.
Guy claiming hid name was greg, said he didn't have time to help with what my husband needed. It was only help figuring out what size screw was needed to fit a hole, of an item he had with him. He decided to go elsewhere and asked what the store number was. Got a response of "I don't know, you'll have to figure that out. "
I still give it 3 stars even though they didn't have what I needed the gentleman that helped me trying to get what ever they had to make it work he was very helpful even though the store didn't carry what I needed
Old school hardware store. The kind you went to with your Dad growing up, where musty old men once challenged each others' knowledge of obscure woodcrafting or electric motor rewinding, replaced today by 3D printers and cheap throw away parts. The draw here is not the same as the giant box stores, with their massive buying power, but rather a focus on service and knowledge. You won't be left to rot in the vast hardware wilderness of the fastener aisle. And when you really get down to brass tacks and compare prices, you will see that the box stores aren't any cheaper and in some cases are much more! Support you locally Owned and operated Ace Hardware Store!
Great people and great customer service. The place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside.
They do need a new outdoor sign.
I stopped in Merritt Island Ace today. A very nice lady was helping me. When a rude employee interrupted us. Okay he needed to tell her he needed help with another customer. He interrupted her several times basically telling her to hurry.
Found an LED replacement for florescent bulbs that eliminates the buzzing transformer. Used existing wiring instead of new sockets provided.
One strip was as bright as two bulbs, with no heat.
Price was $15 per pair versus $20 at the Depot.
Update: I replaced ALL tubes in my house. LED far superior. Look for the ones that say Ballast Bypass.
Very helpful everyone is very nice who works there lots of experience they know their stuff
Great store had everything I was looking for, can't beat that. Will visit there again that's for sure. I was looking for a certain size bulbs for a antique lamp, they had the size I needed. I have been looking everywhere trying to find one and they had two. Thanks ace 10 stars for that. Was also looking for an incandescent bulb for another lamp, was sick of these led bulbs. I don't like the pure white light that led bulbs emits, I prefer soft light. Easier on eyes. I guess I'm old school.
I was having chipped car keys made at another Ace Hardware in town; $39 a piece. Their machine went down while trying to make them.so I come to this location to have the keys made. While speaking with the gentleman he priced the key double what the other store was charging. When I questioned the price jump while showing him the receipt he said "then go back there". Woa, I wasnt being disrespectful, just asking why the difference in price. Well I left and will get keys made somewhere else. Not coming back.
