Held onto a vehicle for over a month, even after I went to pay for it before they put it into the yard.

Very rude, not cooperative. Wouldn't let me pay for the car. Unless a cash payment. With no paperwork after payment

These people are predatory! I had a late payment with Credex on a $1200 title loan. I communicated with them, after unexpectedly being laid off from my job of over 5 years. I apologized and agreed to pay as soon as my severance check or unemployment arrived.despite that; they had Action Towing come and repossess my vehicle from private gated property early yesterday morning. I was given no options but to pay $2800 on a mere $1200 loan; which supposedly included $425 in repossession fees for the tow company fees in full. I was told I owed nothing more; however, when I arrived to get my car; they told me I still owed $160 or I couldn't have my car. I guess this was for additional storage fees added because the car had been there over 24 hrs. I wasn’t happy I couldn’t get it yesterday but I attempted to pay yesterday and was prevented by not being given the payoff total until end of day by credex. They said action towing hadn't sent the fee paperwork to credex in time for me to get the payoff amount, make the payment and get confirmaton before they closed at 5PM.they needed receipt before I could get address or be assigned a pick up appointment time. I had to get an Uber 19 miles to this storage place; despite Action towing having a facility only 6-miles from my home. Now I see this was intentional delays to enable them to screw me over for another $160 for overnight storage. This wasn’t communicated! They towed my car for a few miles and charged $585. If that isn't illegal; it should be! They prey on those experiencIng hard times financially. If it wasn't for my mother in law; I would have lost my only form of transportation over this ordeal. I questioned a female employee how the towing and storage could be grossly over the legal tow limits for Tampa/Hillsborough County as outlined in county statues /laws I looked up. The woman from Action towing said those laws don't apply to repossession towing even though they are exactly the same work; not sure that’s true.

Action so he left me for six hours, waiting for someone to pick me up in my car with my autistic daughter. I called and asked for a tow. They told me that they would be out within an hour. They rescheduled me five hours later when I called in the gentleman at the dispatch name Mike could care less and told me if I wanted to I can cancel very unprofessional unreliable. I would never use them warning stay away.

Excellent service. I was assisted by an older gentleman named Mike. He was absolutely amazing.

Our vehicle was stolen and impounded to Action Towing. What we needed to recover the vehicle was not explicitly stated by Action Towing customer service. When I asked for management to review my calls based on time stamp with their customer service (since their call tree says all calls are recorded) I was dismissed and treated poorly. All was eventually resolved.

However, the reason for this review is to ALERT the customer. Bring EXACT cash (which I suspected to do). Action Towing takes advantage of people. How does a business only accept cash as the form of payment and NOT have change? Riddle me that?

Tow was scheduled through GEICO, I called and they gave me an ETA within the hour which would have been approximately 45 minutes. One hour and a half later they updated the ETA with GEICO, never informing me to an additional hour and a half so total of 3 hours. Mind you I have a flat sitting on the side of the highway.

They claimed they got busy, shouldn’t calls be handled in the order they were received, so why does it matter if you got busy?

Cancelled service.

I cannot express enough how fantastic my experience has been with this company, especially Mike (a.k. A. Bob Ross) who was professional, helpful, and reassuring from the moment he showed up.

Mike was hands down best tow truck driver I’ve ever had, figured out the problem super fast and was on my way. Super professional, deserves a raise!

Not a repo company don’t confuse this company with the other action towing recovery this company only does roadside towing they are a great group of men and women very professional and well trained when it comes to towing your vehicle or motorcycles with care and using state of the art equipment to do so if you’re vehicle has been taken by repo this is not the same action towing yes they are both in tampa but action towing & recovery inc tampa does not do repo in any way form or shape only roadside assistance towing the ratings you see and the reviews you might read are most likely intended for the action recovery repo company not for action towing & recovery inc tampa please call the shop they are open 27/7 all year and ready to help with your towing needs cash or card doesn’t matter they accept all forms of of legal payment

Respectful timely service. Within 90mins I had a new battery and was back on the road. Competitive pricing, comparable to what I get at Sam’s club while also providing a reasonable 3 year warranty.

My car broke down and Mr. Sullivan, the tow truck driver, rescued me when I was stranded in a parking lot on a hot afternoon. He was very kind, affable, and helpful; I couldn't have asked for better company. I was also very thankful for the air conditioning. 5 stars! Would definitely call Action again in the future!

Donnie was awesome! Showed up very quickly and straight to business, got the car delivered to dealership. All good! Highly recommend Action Towing and especially Donnie.

Horrible experience. Broke down on the side of the road with our motorcycle, waited for over three hours for tow truck to arrive, kept promising arrival time, kept bumping the time an hour or more. Driver arrived, with a flatbed, tried to push our motorcycle up onto the flatbed and couldn’t do it. My husband tried to help him, but the tow truck refused. Tow truck driver said he wasn’t going to do it, my husband pleaded with him that we couldn’t be left on the side of the road. It was getting dark, driver got in truck and left. Never saying a word to us or offering any other assistance. Just left us there. I would give them a negative star if possible.

Well they told me at 8: 30 am they would take 90 min then they updated the time 56 min extra by that time was already 11am then I get a call from them saying I had to wait until 1: 30 After they had me waiting all that time had to call off they made me waste a lot of time and money I do not recommend them! -5️
