Adkins Automotive, Winter Haven FL

Just visited Adkins automotive for the second time to bring my 2010 Nissan Sentra having moved from Illinois 2yrs ago, I would have to say that this place is family oriented and very professional and they are the best in the automotive industry in Florida. It’s a family business which American is lacking off do to giant corporations which I hate. Last visit before this one was a good experience, in and out, this time I had a pleasure of waiting in the office while they are diagnosing my vehicles. I got to see how they operate and how wonderful they are with customers. I was truly impressed with the family atmosphere they project in interacting with customers. Very caring and honest people. I highly recommend Adkins automotive for all your vehicle repairs needs.

I rarely post reviews, but in the automotive world, it can be very difficult to find people you can trust to be honest and fair with you. Adkins is a far drive for me but it’s the only place I will go. Very relieving to have a good repair shop!

Simply put, if you let "Jesus take the wheel", your business is better than the rest.

I bring my limited edition Ford Lightning here a lot. They’ve become almost like family. They do decent work at a fair price. They’re pretty understaffed though, so repairs do take time. For me, that’s absolutely fine, because I never drive the truck. For somebody needing work on their daily driver, it may be an issue.

I went in with a windshield wiper issue. When I brought the vehicle in Mr. Adkins greeted me personally and made me feel welcomed immediately. I was impressed from the get go. Since being new to Winter Haven and I just started working I shared my financial situation with Mr. Adkins and he was totally understanding and did what he could to fit my budget which I really appreciate. He analyzed and made the repairs within a day or so and I know he was extremely busy. I have to say I will be coming back for future repairs and maintenance and will let all my family and friends know about my awesome experience here: outstanding staff, service, honesty and affordable prices.

Very overwhelmed, they need new staff to keep up with the demand. Payed them around 700 to fix my truck. Engine tune up as well as a new distributor was installed. Truck still had same problem. Took vehicle to a different shop and was told that an air duct was loose. They secured the duct for free, problem was fixed. Let this be a lesson to anyone reading this to get a second or even third opinion when it comes to your vehicle.

Went here a while ago to have an AC problem check out on my moms car. After taking a look and giving me an expensive estimate that I could not afford at the time, Adkins charged me $50.00. They gave me no heads up or any warning that a simple estimate would be that big of a fee. Furthermore, he told me he wasn't even sure what the problem was.lol. He said it would be a $200 gamble to try the first thing. Then, if that was not the problem, $600 would be the charge, but then again who knows?
Would not recommend taking your car here.

This is our 3rd time here to have both regular services done as well as issues that had arose and we are more than satisfied. Robert is trustworthy and truly honest and they have reasonable prices. The office staff is professional and friendly. They do a great job and we've never had to wait long. Couldn't ask for anything better. We would highly recommend Adkins! Thank you guys!

Honest and fairly priced. This company stands by their work and treated us like family. We were a first time customer and after working on our car we had some trouble while traveling; when I called and explained our problem they came to us immediately an hour away from the shop to fix our problem and got us on the road again. I have never gotten such good service anywhere else.

They were recommended to me by another auto shop. I have had such a pleasant experience with them. Leo (mechanic) has gone above and beyond to help me. Their front office staff is friendly and polite. They are very honest and reasonable with pricing. I am so glad I was sent to them. I will definitely be coming to them with all my future car needs.

Robert and his whole family and staff are great. I am a snowbird and I take my car there and I fully trust Adkins and I am thankful for a trustworthy auto service.

The only shop I personally recommend. I work in the automotive industry and they are the only other pair of hands that will ever touch my family's or my personal vehicles. Very professional, honest and trustworthy.

After another repair shop blew my engine up. Robert, his family & staff took my 2014 Ford Escape in. We had to have the engine replaced. Even got a warranty on a used motor.
They went WAY ABOVE what even a DEALERSHIP would have done. Im an over the road driver. They took care of my family like they were his own. I cant wait to get home to shake this honest mans hand & thank him personally for all he has done.
Its a shame I can only give them 5 stars because they have earned so much more.

2014 Ford Escape

My car literally broke down as I was about to pass by their shop. These guys went above and beyond to help me with my car repair even though it was almost closing time. With my car out of commission, I didn't have any other way home without my car and they even drove me home! I am so thankful for all they've done for me. The next day, my car was ready to go and now it drives better than it ever did! If you're reading this because you're in need of a good, honest mechanic, then don't look anywhere else. They're the best!

This place was highly recommended to me by a trusted friend in the industry. Will definitely return here for any future automotive needs.

Adkins Automotive is fantastic! They took my car in real quick even though they were short 2 people. When what I thought was wrong about the car was checked and turned out to be fine, they asked me about all that was happening. They said it would be a few hours and they'd call me. I live real close by, they gave me a ride home and a ride back to the shop once they'd fixed it. They even had me wait a day to pay them, just to make sure that it was a good fix. Their customer service is wonderful. Their rates are very fair. I would definitely go back to them and recommend them to others.
