Advantage Trailer Company reviews
19I highly recommend this individuals that run this place they really care about what they're doing and the customer service here is amazing you don't get this kind of service from everybody thank you guys again I'll be coming back in the future, constantly outperforming customer expectations
Lots of inventory, lots of in store accessories. Chris took extra time with me on the sale of a good conditioned used trailer
I purchased a kayak trailer and had a hitch installed on my car at Advantage Trailer. Though prices were on the high side compared to the dealers near where I lived, I purchased at Advantage because they had the trailer I wanted in stock. The staff that worked with me were professional. The reason for the low rating was the unsafe condition the trailer was in. I had to drive a little over sixty miles to get home. About forty miles into the drive on I75 I heard rattling coming from the trailer. I pulled over to find that one of the safety chain bolts that hold the safety chain to the trailer tongue came off causing the chain to separate from the trailer. The other one was on the verge of coming off. One of the two bolts that hold the licence plate came off. The other one was on the verge of doing so as well. I noticed that the pin that secures the hitch to the ball was not included. Wire gromits we're missing as was a tire valve cap. I checked the tire pressures the next morning after the tires cooled down to find that they were both seriously over inflated. These issues could have been easily corrected with a safety inspection at both the factory and the dealership. Selling a trailer in this unsafe condition is negligence of both the manufacturer, Continental, and the dealership, Advantage.
Purchased a boat trialer through them. Did not come in the expected time frame. Felt rushed to pick it up. Trailer was not adjusted to fit my bpat properly which I mentioned as soon as I saw it. They did not offer to adjust for me but told me how to adjust it myself. Service after sale was horrible. Got sent to manufacturer for a way to fix the trailer to fit my needs and that is not going well either.
Chris was helpful and patient while I decided which trailer met my needs. He answered my questions and made the buying process easy. I have read the negative reviews about trailers and service from Advantage Trailer Company. I disagree. Every place has different level of quality. Prices are going to vary for quality of goods. Everyone at the company carries themselves with good moral character. Thanks again to Chris and everyone else at Advantage Trailer Company.
Not sure what was worse. Being lied to about tire prices or waiting for 20 min to be helped when there was multiple people sitting around watching videos. Go elsewhere and save yourself the time. Or do plenty of research before going in. -the guy that saved $100 on the same tire going elsewhere
Bought an 16' tandem anvil trailer from them 3 years ago this coming November. So far this thing has had both axles replaced, roof vent has broken off, both fenders are falling off, 3 axle bearings replaced, the metal framing work that makes up the walls are rubbing on the back side of the driver's side of the trailer, the rubber bumpers on the drop gate have fallen off, the gate itself has had all the trim work come off and the metal support that holds part of the plywood flooring in place has bent about 4 inches from where it should be, in the center! Most of this had happened within the 1st year. I had advantage replace both axles (at a high cost to me because the warranty "didn't cover that" and they didn't even hook up the wiring for the brakes. This trailer is used to pull 2 lawn mowers, less than 2000 lbs of weight is on the trailer. I will NEVER buy a trailer from either advantage or anvil again. It's not even paid off yet, it's not like the thing was cheap either, I paid over $5k for it
Stephanie, Chris, and the whole gang are great at Advantage. Was very happy with my purchase and experience.
Website said the trailer I wanted was in stock. When I got there they couldn't be bothered. They told me if I really wanted one it would take atleast 6 weeks.
Amazon got me one cheaper and delivered in two weeks.
First off, I really appreciate Chris here, he helped me find another way to get the job done even though i could not make it in to the company. We need more real people like Chris. God bless
What a terrible trailer place, more then unhelpful slow service, you walk in and they take phone calls over walk in customers. They expect you to bring in the part and we will see if we have it, instead of taking the time to search for the part and locate what you need before you drive to there store. Would never go here. Wouldn’t send anyone I know here. TA Mahoney or American discount marine are far better service far better prices and will actually take the time with you to figure out if you have what they need over the phone.
My experience was very deceiving due to the technician. He told me my hydro pump was bad and cylenoids were malfunctioning. That was not the case. He wired it improperly. When I got home and pressed up the hydraulics forced themselves down and when I pressed down nothing happened. Called him and he told me to reverse the cylenoids.and everything worked backwards! I'm now having to take it back tomorrow and losing jobs.please don't let that tec work on my trailer! I seen other tecks there while I was waiting and did phenomenal work
They are VERY knowledgeable and offer fast, friendly service. Their pricing is very reasonable and they were very honest when making our repairs.
Very pleasant, cordial employees that were appreciative of our business. In the future, this will be our trailer store.
If you have a trailer you know you need a trailer repair place. Welding, wiring, spring, axle and brakes. This is the repair shop that I use. They do nice work.
Great experience working with Tim. I wasn't totally sure what was needed and he helped tremendously. Would recommend.
Had a hitch installed in VW recently. The work was great and their customer service was top-notch. I’d highly recommend them.
Recently purchased a trailer from Advantage Trailer Company. Chris was super informative and made the purchasing process very easy. We love our trailer and couldn’t recommend Advantage Trailer Company enough!
Thank you (to sales manager) Chris Bolen.
After purchasing a (new to me) used 25' Center console boat, I needed a matching trailer. Chris did a needs analysis interview with me and came up with a (new) specific trailer suggestion. I should mention that I had been shopping for a used trailer, a month, prior to us meeting. While I was waiting on the trailer to be built, I was using A borrowed trailer which was not set up for my specific boat. I transferred the boat from one trailer to the other and I discovered just how important it is to have a boat and trailer set up that matches. I did spend a little more for a brand new trailer than I had planned to spend, but I am very happy I did. I now will have confidence that my fishing trips to the Keys will be trailer trouble free. Thanks again Chris Bolen.
