My mother needed to stay over in the hospital. They never asked about her medications nor did they give her any. It is very important that she take her medicine. She4 has Parkinson's Disease and ons6et of dimensia. O.ur family is very upset and angry.

What kind of hospital is this place? I'm not sure if the staff is incompetent or they just don't care.

Everyone treated me great and was very professional, except for the in house doctor who kept trying to send me home before I was ready. He did the same thing with my stepfather, except he did have him discharged while he was suffering from congestive heart failure. Luckily I got him an appointment the very next day with his cardiologist who was very upset that they weren't even contacted about his issue and said that he should not have been sent home in his condition.
Another issue is the emergency room. They are completely overwhelmed. I waited in the waiting room for two days straight, eight hours each day before they took me back to a room. I was admitted for eight days, so obviously I did have serious enough issues. The wait is just ridiculous. They need to add on or build a second emergency room.

Advent Health's staff and facility provided a positive experience with the exception that the food is cold by the time it comes to the rooms

I came into the emergency room as an established heart patient who has been admitted several times for heart issues. I was checked in at the main entrance desk and sent to wait in the waiting room like everyone else. They were informed that I was having chest pain. Then the nurses take me in a little room to do ekg and check blood pressure at the same time when I do finally get to the back to a room I was admitted right away. There should be some kind of provision put in place for heart patients and those who think they are having a stroke to go straight to the back to a room for some kind of treatment. This same type of thing happened at another local hospital and the patient complained of chest pain and he was made to wait in the lobby to get an ekg and blood pressure and the patient died before even getting to a room. And of course that hospital is being sued but no one cares about that poor soul who died. You have to make provisions for true emergencies. The patient care is EXCELLENT at Advent never a problem with patient care. The issue is coming into the emergency room people wait for hours. I understand that there may not be beds but something needs to be done for a growing population in this area.

I made an appointment with Dr. Butler to see me. This was my first experience with Advent Health. From scheduling my first appointment until completing my second visit with Dr. Butler today, more than met my expectations. Everyone beginning with reception, and ending with Dr. Butler and her staffed treated me kind, caring and in a most professional manner. Dr. Butler is very caring and I trust her.

This best experience as this was my first and only surgery at 75. Every nurse was exceptionally awesome. I don’t remember names but the smiles I’ll never forget. Dr Schneider’s main nurse she put me at ease by telling me I had the best doctor. The whole experience was amazing and having my kids with me meant so much. Thanks to all the nurses in my care

I had problems after they took the catheter out, and I couldn't make it to the toilet and kept peeing on the floor. At shift change on Friday, I told the new nurse that I had peed on the floor. She misunderstood me per her and didn't clean it up. About an hour later I got up to go again, and I slipped in the first puddle. Fortunately, I didn't damage anything. I did not press the call button as I had an alarm going off on my IV that hadn't been answered during most of that time, so I figured they were busy. When the room was cleaned up, I wasn't. I could have said something about it, but I didn't because I was dry by then.

I've been coming to this place for many years and wouldn't have it any other way.

I injured my back. I had an MRI. I returned to APRN Cassie Sciotto.
I first spoke with her nurse. I had very little wait time. APRN Sciotto came in next in just a couple of minutes. What I needed to do was explained do I could easily follow the directions. Both Sciotto and her nurse appeared to be knowledgeable, competent, efficient and I believe they both have a great sense of humor. If I am ever injured again I hope I get to see APRN Sciotto and her Nurse. They are the BEST. Not enough praises can be said about them

My wife went in for a routine hernia surgery and the anesthesiologist, damaged her throat so badly she cannot swallow. She cannot even swallow pain medication. I will never go back to Advent Hospital or let anyone from the Advent health system ever touch any of us ever again.

I left the hospital feeling confused and mentally exhausted. My questions were not adequately acknowledged/ addressed by the physician that was assigned to me. It’s as though collecting from the insurance companies takes precedence over the actual care of your patient.

My first surgical experience at this facility was absolutely fabulous… Nursing staff were kind and professional… I had total confidence in my physician. Even ancillary personnel went above and beyond. I truly felt cared for.

Was lied to by physicians, medical data manipulated to require additional procedures, time in hospital and more billing opportunities for Advent.

The HOSPITAL itself was WONDERFUL once you got out of the Emergency Room! My wife worked for a NY hospital for 24 years and said she never saw such a horribly run ER! I came in as a stroke protocol (which thankfully was called off) but was then put into a wheelchair to sit for HOURS without a person coming out to check on me or anyone else! There were people vomiting into garbage cans, walking around crying in pain and I wouldn’t treat an animal that way let alone a person! I had not one but 2 falls in the ER once when my wife helped me to the bathroom and my legs gave out (we found out later this was due to a spinal cord compression that would need emergency surgery!) after the first fall I was finally given a room in the ER but had a 2nd fall while there too. Once I was transferred to the 9th floor it was like entering another world, there was enough staff and they took great care of you. They really need to hire people when they get that overrun (which I hear is often due to increasing population and not enough ERs) people who can medically access who needs urgent help. My wife did ask for charge person when I started to lose feeling in my hands, but no one ever came out. I had emergency surgery and am doing well now but terrified if I ever have to go back to this emergency room! The hospital would get 20 stars and the emergency room negative numbers if possible.
