Very extremely disappointed in this office, first off, they are NOT in network with Tricare, they do take it but charge you even for a child’s physical and lie about it. Second, one of the female doctors there is very rude. Third, they can never pull up my insurance and always insist I call my insurance to verify it’s active when I continue to specify that it is, very lazy. I don’t recommend them. They also misdiagnose one of my kids issues

Love AdventHealth Medical offices. Unfortunately, this one is an exception. Rude, unprofessional personal. I have experience number of the drop calls, late notice cancellation. Would not recommend it.

Getting tired of this place. They’re forcing everyone to do walk in appointments in the morning. So I scrambled to get my son ready and literally got there 10 minutes after opening, I was basically told to kick rocks. So much for “first do no harm”. Needless to say I took my son to the ER and they were able to treat him there. Unless you have.a scheduled appointment don’t take a chance hauling your kid there with the possibility of getting turned away when they’re at full capacity. Make sure you bring snacks because even if they call you to a room you’re still waiting 30 minutes to see the physician. I don’t mind the wait but my 16 month old is not exactly patient.

My child was scheduled for a well check up on 09/08/2022 at the Orange City Advent Health Medical Group Pediatric Office. I had the unfortunate experience of interacting with, Shaynna, the front desk supervisor. Upon checking in, she aggressively demanded that my child put on a mask. I explained to her that my child was disabled and that precluded safe and effective mask wear. She insisted that I put one on my child, due to their age, despite my explanation. When I mentioned to her that there had never been an issue with this at the Lake Mary office, where I had taken my other child just weeks before, she went on a tirade about contacting the supervisor at the Lake Mary office about mask wearing policies and demanding to know my other child's name and information. When I declined to provide it, she said she would just print out another copy of the receipt and find out their information in that way. This, by the way, is in violation of HIPPA regulations, as she was not using the information to coordinate that child's care. The irony of the situation was that the coworker sitting behind her was eating a bagel at her computer desk, without a mask. In addition, we were the only people in the lobby, Shaynna was behind a window, it was a well visit and she and I were both wearing a mask! After six years of bringing my children here and although I like the providers, I am considering leaving the practice because of this horrible treatment and lack of understanding. I am also considering filing a complaint with AHCA and would appreciate follow up regarding these concerns.

WORST DR office EVER. Lost my sons testing papers that took two months to get, All they could say was sorry we do not know what happen to them and we do not know what else to tell you. Very very sad that now my son will have to start over at our new Dr.office. BE WARE and stay away.

Dr's are great but administrative assistance/clinical team will gladly put u in an infinite loop of phone tag and blame you for it. Choose another location if at all possible.

As a physician I’m deeply disappointed in the service here. My child has had medical issues for the past year that Dr. Alexa Heller genuinely seemed concerned for his well being after multiple ER visits of syncope. We saw every specialist due to ER referrals and each specialist expressed their own concerns for follow ups. We were told of suspected heart murmurs and possible seizures, as a good parent would we listened to providers to prevent our child from returning to the ER. After seeing a hematologist we were instructed to get an additional image done and to follow up with Dr. Alexa Heller. She barely did a physical on him and stated he was in perfect health and blamed me for taking him to unnnecessary appointments. I was even told to consider counseling. Again, as a physician it is troubling to see a lack of diagnosis being followed with mockery, I don’t know why it was hinted that this was a case of munchausen syndrome, specially when a top leading hematologist suggested a follow up, but this practice needs to carefully examine their practitioners. I expected better, I didn’t expect this kind of behavior. If you truly have no idea what could be affecting my child suggest someone else examine them. Take your child to a practitioner who cares and doesn’t accuse parents of needing mental help.

The nurse and staff are terrible! Very rude, inexperienced with kids, unacceptable attitude! Definitely wouldn’t recommend. I don’t feel comfortable taking my 2 year old to this place.

We moved here 3 years ago and this place was referred to us by a close friend. We are so Thankful! My children love the NP and Doctors. They have great attitudes and phenomenal bedside manner. They helped figure out my daughters onset asthma once they looked at her. We love this place!

Doctor is nice but Getting an appointment is nearly impossible. The after hours is great if you want to wait an hour or 2 in your car with your sick kids. Dr Allison West is amazing great with my kids that is the only reason we keep coming here. I got to the office and followed the instructions on my check in text at 4: 15 for my 5: 00 appointment so I would be the first person In line, at 5: 15 after other people who just arrived were seen first I went in and they said they had only checked in 1 of my kids not both so we had to check in and get on the list all over again. Been here an hour and a half now and are still waiting in my car so I decided to warn other parents. I don’t mind and expect to have to wait but this is just Unacceptable in my opinion.

Dr. Alber is a compassionate, caring, professional, and overall wonderful person and Dr. I’ve been bringing my 6 year old to him since she was born. She is now at the age where she is very modest about her body and knows not to let just anyone look at her body for any reason. She was very uncomfortable in the gown that was provided to us by staff for her check up and when we explained to Dr. Alber he was 100% supportive and allowed her to get dressed before he proceeded with her care. He then got down to her level and explained things so that she understood and put her worried little mind at ease. I honestly believe not every dr would have done that and would have just completed what they needed to do. I am so thankful to Dr. Alber for his respect, patience and understanding. He is setting our daughter up to know her rights as a female and eventually as a woman. Thank you Dr. Alber!

Waited nearly an hour. Dr. Alexa Heller seemed very inexperienced and uncomfortable treating our sick 2.5 year old. Rx sent to wrong pharmacy.

We waited 50 minutes after our scheduled appointment time for the doctor to come into our room to see our son. When she came in, she did not apologize for the wait.
We came in for a complaint of fever and neck pain and when checking his ears she couldn't see one ear allegedly due to "too much ear wax. " She did not try to clear out any of the wax, she just moved on to the other ear. The other ear she said also had a lot of wax, but after looking it at it two times she said that it did look red and inflamed. By that time, our 2.5 year old was screaming and mad and was not being cooperative with letting her look in his mouth and she seemed completely uncomfortable and like she didn't know what to do with the situation. This was surprising as we assume he is not the first angry/sick 2 year old she had ever seen. He hit the tongue depressor out of her hand and she just kind of gave up on looking at his throat saying that she thought she saw "some white bumps back there. "
In the end she called in an antibiotic but called it in to the wrong pharmacy so my husband was left chasing it down after already spending too long waiting in her office for her and then spending another hour plus tracking down the prescription. What a nightmare. We hope to never see her again.

DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE! Thomas Alber is an extremely rude & unprofessional individual. I don’t understand how someone so brusque can be working in pediatrics.
