AFC Urgent Care St. Petersburg

This company fraudulently collected a co-pay from me even though I did not owe one and my insurance confirmed that multiple times with me before and after the visit. The person at the front desk even acknowledged that they could see I didn't owe anything but they needed to charge me before seeing me anyways. They ASSURED me they would pay me back timely if I was due a reimbursement. It has been almost two months and they have not paid me back. I have called my insurance to confirm that I did not owe a co-pay and my insurance AGAIN confirmed that this company should have never taken a cent from me. I will never return to this urgent care and advise others to consider any other option available. This company cannot be trusted.

Response to owner below: Yet, you have NOT refunded me even though I’ve spoken with my insurance multiple times, each time my insurance confirmed you all fraudulently collected from me. I have sent you the proof from my insurance company confirming as such and am now posting the photos to this page as proof you all fraudulently collected me. I am reporting you.

Came in today with a ruptured ear drum, she gave me a zpack and wanted to clean my ears. I've had ent problems all my life and have never heard of such a thing. Maybe this isn't the docs specialty but still.

Definitely didn't get a warm-fuzzy by going there but felt much better the next day. The staff and doctor were super professional.

There is nothing urgent or caring about them. When I walked in with my sick child and waited until I was two steps away from the desk to turn their back and walk away from us. When she got back she shoved paperwork at me, I juggled my sick toddler and bags and filled out this rather offensive list of questions and returned to the desk with ID and insurance info. I pushed it through the window before she could walk away on us again. She proceeds to say our insurance isn't accepted there, even though they claim to take most insurances. And that I will have to pay in full for her to be seen. I got my stuff back and we left. And the attitude when I asked for my cards back was unnecessary at best.

I have to say that the previous review I just read commmenting on Dr. Tretyakova and the treatment you received shocked me immensely!
As I had the privilege to be treated by her during my bout with Covid-19 starting in March of this year!
It was a very scary time for me also as it also developed into pneumonia.
Dr. Tretyakova calmed me and assured me in a very professional manner speaking very clearly and precisely advising me on my next steps forward to deal with this very frightening ordeal!
I was truly thankful that I found such a knowledgeable and very professional doctor in my hour of need.
I remember coming home and telling my husband what a a great doctor treated me!
Especially as it was an Emergency Clinic!
Thank you Dr. Tretyakova for getting me back on the road to recovery.

I only give one star because the staff was friendly and compassionate to me while dealing with a double ear infection, but I would give 0 stars if not for their customer kindness. As far as medical treatment goes, I would never come back. I came in twice because I wasn’t improving on any medication given to me and saw two different doctors for an ear infection. After a week of treatment through AFC and no improvement I went to the ER, where I was informed I had not only been given the improper medication for my ear infection and it wouldn’t clear until the proper meds were given, but they ALSO MISSED THE FACT THAT I HAD PNEUMONIA. Despite complaining of a cough and trouble breathing, and having my lungs listened to, they still missed it until I went to the ER.

Front Office staff could use some training in customer service, would never return or recommend anyone to this facility!

This urgent care may have saved my life.

The triage nurse and doctor both flagged my abdominal pain as possibly gallbladder and ulcer issues. Although they were unable to officially diagnose these specialized issues via urgent care, they were able to give me medication to tide me over until my GI appointment. I'd had been previously discharged from Bayfront ER with less clarity than this urgent care gave me in minutes. I was better able to advocate for myself at Tampa General later down the line. Very impressive.

They're quick, organized, and friendly considering the influx of the Delta surge. I recommend waiting in the car as the waiting room is small.

Unfortunately, I will never return to this AFC Urgent Care again because of the way that I was treated. I was going through a terrifying time with odd symptoms. Dr. Tretyakova had absolutely NO bedside manner and visually misdiagnosed me. She was also hard to understand. My experience with her destroyed me emotionally and made everything that I was going through worse. To top it off, over $300 for two simple office visits. Warning to others.find another urgent care if you want to be treated like a human being!

The front desk employees are rude. Their hours mean nothing as they will decide to not take walk-ins and close early whenever they want. Don't bother going unless you want them to charge you for everything and anything possible if they will even see you.

I got in because my job sends a mandate that they want all employees tested.
I tell them this.
Then I get a copy showing I was there to give to my employer.
You know what they print out?
"Complaint" Patient comes in today for exposure to COVID" that's fraud! And a full blown lie! Now they refuse to print out a correct one.

On two occasions now they have “lost” my lab specimens. I wouldn’t trust this location for any type of lab testing whatsoever. They tried to offer me free testing in both cases to make up for it, but it was too late for my specific concern. Ridiculous. On my last visit, I tried to check in after saving my spot in line. Apparently I saved it at a different location by mistake and they no longer take line reservations here. The girl at intake was unprofessional and just looked up at me swaying in her chair back forth stating “oh we don’t do that anymore. ” Then went back to swaying in her chair with a pause. I said okay, well, I’d still like to be seen? (This is an urgent care isn’t it?) “Oh, yeah, we can do that. ” No kidding. Can you? She laughed while looking over my patient data after giving her my name and I’m honestly not sure about what, but was made really uncomfortable by that. I ignored this because I’m not inclined to care, but it didn’t go unnoticed. Honestly the rest of my experience wasn’t much better. Without going into too much detail, I was made to feel this was all in my head. I didn’t feel listened to & I was sent on my way with absolutely no advice. A Google search gave me more options for my symptoms. This location shouldn’t be in business.

Went in for a covid 19 test. Took 45 minutes to get quick test. I told them I may have it or a flu. When I came back negative I was told I would need a separate appointment for checking me for the flu. NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH SERVICE!
ENDED UP HAVING TO GO TO MY PERSONAL DOCTOR. While I was already upset by having to do so, I found out this urgent care charged my insurance $353 for my office visit plus $ 95 they charged me personally for a rapid result test. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NOR RETURN HERE. While there they refused seeing an elderly person with pretty severe symptoms because they didn't have an appointment. So much for being an urgent care facility!

At first when I called was told no appointments available. I walked in with my son and everyone was great! Great care, staff was kind, efficient, and accommodating. Thank you

SOME OF THE FRONT DESK STAFF ARE VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. ONLY FRIDAY STAFF KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. THE PHYSICIANS ARE ALL WONDERFUL IN SKILLS. SHOULD HAVE WENT TO 66TH ST OFFICE FOR MY ISSUES. FIRST VISIT WAS 4 HOURS NEXT VISITS WERE VERY SHORT AND TO THE POINT. JAIME WAS GREAT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. MADE ME FEEL LIKE A PATIENT NOT JUST SOME PILL POPPER OFF THE STREET. THANK YOU FOR THAT.

This particular location has terrible consumer service, always with an attitude that they just can't be bothered.highly suggest search out a facility that is actually professional.
