African Choice Food Market reviews
21Love African and Caribbean food? This is the place to be. Food is fresh, healthy and affordable. Store location is in the heart of the city. Excellent customer service. Very highly recommended.
Quite expensive but you may get African foods and recipes there. It worth the price though for you to get the true African taste
Empty store, not enough variety of products. It was our first time in this store and would not come back.
Good variety of African foods but a bit expensive. I was greeted by the folks that worked there.
They have all u need in any African home. But oh my goodness they are high prices, from a lady from Houston tx on my
Definitely much pricier items than even DC. Very impatient store owner, unsure what the deal was with her rushing me to check out as I was trying to find a specific item. MAYBE she thought I was trying to steal? Also, please clean the store this is the dirtiest African store I have been in.
Extremely rude! I asked her why the items in her freezer were not priced. She started raising her voice. She told me that she's the only one around who sells those items and if I'm not happy i should go get them in NY. She was not going to kill herself putting a price on all the items. She has kids my age etc.all of that because she was super rude and I told her she was. Mind you, all my stuff was rung and my bank card was in her hands. She threw the card back at me and said she was not going to sell anything to me. I'm never going back!
EXCELLENT! Yes over the phone they can be rude but honestly I believe its just in their tone and they run their business how they would like. Once I got to the store I was greeting and helped graciously. It was worth my 30 minute ride and the O-Town traffic!
Didn't even want to give them one star! I called them and they were very rude! I ask price of a product and I was told that I couldn't have the price over the phone. So then I asked if they had online pricing and they also told me no in a very terrible rude tone! Only reason I wanted the price is because I live pretty far from them. An I wanted to know the price before I drove that far. The man that I spoke to was over the top rude with me for no reason. I'm glad the showed there rudeness before I actually drove that far. I will never spend my money with them or for that matter will I ever tell anyone to buy from them. I try to support black owned business's and this is the treatment I get! Just terrible!
This place has got a little bit of everything you may want or need. I just moved to Orlando so I initially stopped by to get some black soap. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many products from back home (Barbados & Nigeria). They have all of the ingredients you would need to make any soup in Nigeria. They have meat, vegetables, seasonings, garri, pounded yam, and ground nuts. They also have Nigerian movies, soaps and other toiletries. The gentleman who checked me out respectfully called me sister and said he was Nigerian. Stop by for all your Caribbean and African needs!
Not clean. Smelled like food that went bad. Didn’t find what I was looking for. No one greeted me.
I can almost get everything I want here
Prices are affordable the lady is nice and friendly
BEST place to get Fufu, Palm Oil and Condensed Milk - that's about all they carry. And more Fufu. Did I say that the owner is RUDE? Like RUDE RUDE
This place has all kinds of African Foods from different parts of Africa. The husband and wife team are nice and helpful. Prices are a bit high on items you can get cheaper at either WalMart or your local West Indies store just down the street that is selling some of the same items. The place is kind of old and dinghy and hit dark. But clean. I'm giving this Review 4 Stars.
Extremely rude. I asked why the bottles of apetamin cost more with card as opposed to cash, and I was told the apetamin wasn’t his product so he has to make his money back. Which I get, but that doesn’t make sense in that scenario. Anyhow, he told me if I wanted it to buy it, if not leave. So I left. I knew better after reading reviews but this is why Black owned businesses go out so bad.
Rude people that work here and they overcharged me for apetamin and the lady couldn’t even work it out for me what’s 5$ Less than what I been paying? And I drove an hour to get there won’t never be back! Dead bugs on the floor and me and my friends had bug bites on us when we left wasn’t even there for 5 minutes
Nice place if you're looking for your red palm oil or your African Honey this is the place to go
I can understand about the prices because the food comes from Africa. But they have to clean and organize the shop. Very very dirty. And on the receipt you don’t really know how much you pay for each article because they don’t mention it. You just see the price. Be ready before you go there. Please clean your shop
Just the right place to find anything you need from Africa. Store owners are very nice and friendly.
