Aji Limo Peruvian Cuisine reviews
17Came here looking for some Peruvian ceviche and was not disappointed. We had the lecuma cake for dessert. Everything was so good.
Great atmosphere, good choice of music make the whole dinning experience complete
Friendly welcoming and the food fresh, excellent flavor. The chicken consome is like from the Nona kitchen to your table.
The fried fish with pesto pasta very flavorful combination.
Miss the Aji de Gallina in the menu.
Absolutely love it and will back
Best Peruvian restaurant in Tampa.
Excellent food and super elegant. I had the lunch special. I will be back again and again.
I ordered the free delivery after over an hour of waiting, and asking support for help, they cancelled the order. Don't try the free delivery. They don't take the time to update their system when deliveries are not available. I was excited to try but a big disappointment.
Wonderful food! I had the tallarín verde and it was perfect. My wife had ceviche and loved it. Delicious alfajores for dessert. It's nicely decorated inside and our server was delightful and very kind. We definitely want to come back!
First and foremost thank you for accommodating us to a much better location than the original. Let's divide this review into 3 categories to enable a proper score and review.
Atmosphere:
Once you enter, you come across a contemporary atmosphere, walls decorated in wood and accessories to compliment it. The logo of the restaurant was well placed, one of the first few things you notice, next to the bar which seemed to be well designed as it covers a roundabout of the whole restaurant. Unfortunately the back side of the restaurant's layout seemed a bit lost, and could have been designed a bit more efficiently to not interfere with the kitchen door. Now the lighting was something that did strike me as smoothing and relaxing, something more personal and intimate where you can look around to dimly appreciate your surroundings and focusing on the stage. That is until I took off my Ray-Ban, and my pupils dilated and I went into a trance, or so I thought, I hadn't drank any wine.
Yet.
I could advise that if the lighting was dimmer, it could have helped with the temperature, as it felt a UFO was shining a light to abduct you. It could also help that if the lights were lower, it could have been a more intimate dinner between couples, families, parties, etc. Heck we wanted to order more wine, but it was so hot and the light was killing us, it was hard to stay longer.
Staff/Service:
Waiter was nice enough to take us to a new table without having to take anything with us, she came a total of 3 times, however none of those times was to ask if there was anything we needed, that was only asked once the appetizers or plates arrived. She did ask the chef to make a small fix on my plate to replace Tallarines Verdes with Lomo Saltado instead of steak. Overall she was polite with us. Forget her name.
Food:
Very good umami, fresh ingredients. I had the Choros A La Chalaca, Anticuchos for appetizers and a Lomo Saltado. The flavor was almost on the spot, the tallarines could of used a bit more basil maybe in the sauce, but good call on the scatter bits of basil around the plate, even then it was missing a bit of kick.
This place is so cute and I love the atmosphere. The food is always consistent plus the staff and service is great
Nothing special choros and ceviche we ask for not spicy and they came spicy the owners are from Chile and Peru but I can tell they doesn’t have a prior restaurant experience best of luck to them the restaurant has a huge potential but need experience management!
I was not ready for how amazing the food was. The staff was so respectful and kind. I'll definitely be coming back to Tampa just to eat here
Amazing place. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Excellent service. Love this neighborhood restaurant. We needed it! Highly recommend it.
Beautiful inside. Great service. Food tasted fresh and flavorful. Waitress was great. Plenty of food enough to take home. Worth the money and experience.
We were driving thru the neighborhood and happened to pass by Aji Limo. It didn't disappoint! Loved the traditional preparation and presentation.
The food and ambiance here is top level. Great service and the fact that is close to downtown/south tampa makes it even better. Highly recommended
Just absolutely delicious. We recently found this gem and it’s become one of my favorite restaurants. The ceviche is spot on and consistently so. As are the Patacones Rellenos. I don’t know if they always have them but their empanadas are some of the best I’ve had. They’re baked not fried, and have the traditional olive stuffing but with steak instead of ground beef. This is the type of place where I will eventually try everything on their menu but no order goes without the ceviche and patacones so it’s a slow process.
As a Peruvian, best Peruvian food in Tampa Bay! Please come enjoy the good food, excellent service and much more.
This has been my second time visiting this restaurant and the food and customer have been outstanding. I had a party of 12 on my last visit, and everything run smoothly. Food, drinks, ambiance, and customer service were on point.
I will come back for more Arroz Chaufa, Lomo Salteado, and the delicious shrimp tostones! ️
