Had them out yesterday to clean out my oak, they did a great job.pruned a few others. Saw them doing extra things that weren't a part of the "job" they went above and beyond. I have been burned by other companies but Akins came highly recommend by my neighbor and the whole process with them put me at ease and I'm a happy customer. Definitely recommend!

Had this company come out today to do some cleaning of two large oaks in my backyard. I am so pleased with the work and the clean up. They took great care in making sure all of the mess was cleaned up and hauled away. Super professional and reasonable in their pricing. You won't find a better or more professional tree company in my opinion.

Gotta give props. First off my neighbor hired them to remove a few monster trees. And I sustained a lil damage to my stockade fence.look at the photos tho they were monster between our houses right next to mine. Anyways they repaired the fence and even went out of there way to take boards from the back and put in the front where the damage was to make it look better. Very impressed and they did a great job plop

My mother recently needed some trees taken down that were close to here house. Akins Tree Care came and did a wonderful job! My mother is extremely happy with the work that was done and my brother's and I greatly appreciate them taking care of the trees for her when we couldn't be there to take care of it for her. My neighbors are using their service to cut down trees but completely blocked me in from leaving my drive way.had to go over my grass just to get out and because of that my grass has tire mark in them because I was not able to get out.think it's kind of rude for your company to block me in.they can see clearly that my drive way is right in front of their truck.

Bill and his crew arrived promptly as promised. Removed three trees and grinded stumps quickly, and efficiently with no problems. Also, clean up was done. My husband, Richard, and I would highly recommend Bill for any tree trimming and/or removal service you may wish to have done. We have him scheduled for a future trimming for our oak tree in front yard. Great job Akins Tree Care LLC!

Our neighbors had this company remove a large tree that sat next to our fence. I am a catastrophe claim adjuster, so I have worked with 100s of tree companies, I am aware of appropriate mitigation needs. As a consumer, and a professional, I also advocate for individuals and companies to display top notch customer service and professionalism. I was working from home, and sat and watched this company cut tree limbs and canopies down, falling onto my fence, and then proceeding to slowly drag them off. They pulled the fence post toppers off several times before I finally went out to ask them if they could be more considerate of my property, maybe use a tarp to throw over the fence, to prevent possible damage while they removed the limbs, or at least to not continue to rip the fence posts off. The person then stated that the posts had never been pulled off, but they had removed them prior to the tree limbs being cut down. So that right there is when I realized that these people are not honest. I sat and watched them carelessly pull 2 fence post toppers off while pulling the limbs off of my fence. So he started off lying to protect himself for negligent actions. When I told him I SAW them do this, he then proceeded to say that only 1 had been ripped off while they pulled the limbs off. So it went from him first trying to lie about it happening, then to him justifying it once he realized I SAW it happen. This small conversation went left very quickly. With insults and yelling. Not only did they dismiss me, but they began to get disrespectful. My boyfriend, who went to school full time during this situation, and is also a US Marine of 8 years, also witnessed it all. Once he saw these people being so disrespectful to me, he stepped in, and confirmed he had also seen what they were doing. The tree person got loud with him and it ended in them screaming at us, and even going as low to make belittling comments about how they assumed because me and my boyfriend were home during the day, that we were jobless and had nothing to do other than harrass them, the hard working people, and how we don't understand hard work. Which again, is beyond disrespectful, as I have been a field catastrophe adjuster who travels the country helping people when their homes are destroyed, working 15 hr days. And my boyfriend has sacrificed his life when he served in the USMC for 8 years, was a previous police officer, and was now in school full time. These people had zero care for the damage they were doing, lied about it when I confronted them, and then carried on with the worst behavior I've ever seen via lying, disrespect, belittling assumptions, and threats. They left the property with tree limbs and branches all over my yard, and my fence toppers cracked from when they ripped them off, as well as dirt caked on my fence so much that it would require power washing to clean it off. I know that reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt sometimes due to comments that are cosmetic or just a complaint about personal preferences, but this is a complaint about their direct lack of professionalism. We weren't their customers, we were just the neighbors of the actual customers paying them for their service, thus they had no regard for us or what we were asking of them, which was to simply be considerate of our property while they worked so they didn't do damage. They didn't know I was home and could see everything they did, so they lied, then got defensive when I confronted them. Then when they realized I actually had a brain and let them know of some proper mitigation prep to do, aka a tarp, and removing the fence posts first, they began to use aggressive tactics of disrespect. Never in my life have I seen anyone take such extreme measures like this. What they do when people are watching them may appear stellar, but when no one is watching, they have shady practices, which boil down to laziness and lack of care for others around, especially if they aren't giving them a check. Disgusting behavior as a company, and just as human beings.

Took good care of removing tree stump close to house last year. No worries. Professional service.

I called Bill to remove a small magnolia tree and prune an oak tree. He came and gave an estimate and we made an appointment for the next week. He also made an appointment with my neighbor for the same day as well. It ended up to be the Friday before the hurricane was supposed to be our way. He then calls the day before to cancel both of our scheduled appoints to have the work down with the excuse of having an emergency to do. I think that is bad business and I will never use him again. I called another company from Howey in the Hills and they were happy to come out that same day to do the job. Now, that is being professional. The only reason I gave 1 star is because this review wouldn't post without at least 1.
