Alachua County Tax Collector - Downtown Branch, Gainesville FL

I had questions about changing my address on my drivers license and got amazing help right away. I was told which documents I should bring in and the employee was very sweet and kind and understanding of how drivers license things can be confusing.

To require printed proof of an appointment in order to proceed with said appointment is a weird request.

The ladies there are awesome. I'm handicapped, had to renew license on birthday.
Not only were they accommodating because of my handicap - they were personable - when they saw it was my birthday - they all wished me a happy birthday.genuine customer service, which is so rare these days.
I appreciate there time and consideration!

Just went there to get my license and registration updated. Randy helped me and he was SO KIND! A very nice person, I got lucky to have him help me:)

Its the most pleasant office I have been. The employees that attended me were very VERY helpful, friendly and kind. There was a clear intention to help me. I had to go twice a day, and on the way for my second appointment I felt happy even knowing that I was spending time doing only legal stuff and was about to loose some money. They made me feel comfortable at all times. Definitely recommended. Thanks guys!

The folks here are SO NICE and incredibly helpful! They were so patient helping me get a license photo that didn’t look completely washed out. No wait time, literally the nicest DMV experience I’ve ever had.

Should be the standard for any DMV. Compared to other DMVs I’ve been to, I feel like I’m in paradise.

Being charged an outrageous fee to become registered in the state. Took an eye exam and even though the third row was completely blank, was dismissed as not being able to see it when it was a mess up on their part - and parking is near impossible unless you want to pay. Worst BMV experience I've ever had.

Aside from the astronomical increases in registrations over the last 8 years, the service at “my tag office” is unmatched. If we put whatever they are drinking in the city water supply, we would have the friendliest and most helpful population in the world.

Best DMV experience ever! Very quick and friendly, helpful staff. Susie was a breath of fresh air after a lifetime of horrible DMV experiences.
