Alhambra at Poinciana, Kissimmee FL

We Are from Miami, I was was looking for some where to go for my Birthday and 35th wedding Anniversary. I found Alhambra on hotel.com it's located in Poinciana Florida near Orlando this was a nice one bedroom condo with all the amenities it was beautiful, we stayed 5 days and 4 nights I really enjoyed my stay! If you're vacationing in the Orlando area I recommend this place I will be going back this will be my vacation spot.

I loved my stay at Alhambra! I stayed in a condo on the first floor. The rooms were so clean, it smelled clean every time I walked in the door. Had a beautiful screened in porch and comfortable bed. Huge TV's for relaxing and winding down in the evening. The resort was able to honor my request for the first floor, as I'm not able to climb stairs easily, and I'm so thankful for that. There was a little road noise, but not enough to bother me, after all, it's a very busy area. Very close to a Walmart for buying the essentials as well. Close to a very nice city Park.
I forgot toothpaste and they brought some right down to the room when I called. Only thing I wished I had noticed was that the office closed at 10 p.m. I almost missed check in because I failed to notice that I should have called first, also had an evening arrival at the airport. But I found the door to the office and they let me in when I knocked. (I would suggest that the office door be more clearly marked for late arrivals and maybe add a door bell)

Had a very pleasant experience there. We have the full kitchen so that was nice. We were able to cook and not have to go out to eat every night. It's awesome how the pool is open till 10: 00 pm. I thought it was hilarious how when I took a peek underneath the bed there was a little sign there that said " Yes, we clean here too" love it.we ended up getting a flat tire during our vacation and had to get towed back to the hotel and the maintenance man was nice enough to let me use his jack so I could replace the tire

Quiet place to stay and within reach of places like Disney World and Universal. We enjoyed our stay there. Found out that we had several dining options and shopping options to help us with our stay.

It was ok like to come back next December but you do not have a place to part a motorhome at so we will find another resort that will accommodate that if you can get back with us

They are very i responsible and do not take ownership of there mistakes anything goes wrong they blame expedia and just solve everything with a sorry! Horrible service

It is a good location, but that’s about it. Check in was fine. I got into my room and it just stunk like it was old. I ended up going out the next day to buy air fresheners to tolerate it but did not help a whole lot. Two major complaints!

1) bed was extremely uncomfortable. I let them know the next day and they advised that the bed was “newer” but could change rooms. I was already unpacked so I just dealt with it. Highly recommend checking the beds before unpacking.

2) internet speed was atrocious! Literally slower than DSL… I called front desk and he advised it is usually fast but he would call their provider. He then said it likely won’t matter and there isn’t anything further they can do. If you will need internet at any point, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Furniture was very old and stained - bathroom was really nice. I had a tub room and you need to step up like knee high to get in. But was happy with bathroom.

I really feel this place could be so much more but they don’t want to invest in it. I would stay there again as a last resort…

We had a week stay. The unit was basically clean, but there was a little musty smell. Not really bad, but noticeable. To cook for 5 people the kitchen needs a few more mixing bowls, cooking utensils, and pans, but it was doable with what was there. There are plenty of dinner plates, eating utensils, cups, and glasses. The tub is very large. Might be difficult for those with limitations of mobility. Bathroom and bedroom is very large. The bed sleeps well. The sofa bed is ok for kids. The couch and rug could use a little steam cleaning. Loved the screened in porch. Wished the gym was located at resort, and not a mile away, making the availability time very limited. Could not use gym on the weekend or before 10am during the week. If you are going to Universal expect to drive 45 minutes to an hour. The resort is close to Aldi, Wal-Mart, and other essential shopping, if you happen to need anything. The staff was very friendly, and made you feel welcomed, which made the stay pleasant. As far as a budget resort, I would recommend staying here.

Room was perfect clean comfortable towels sheets fridge microwave coffee maker.only complaint when next room people go in or out door slams loud.

I evacuated because of Ian.everything was fine until the next morning when I saw tiny little ants all over the nightstand. I went to the store and bought ant spray. And sprayed heavily.by then, it was too late I was bit up. I was itching terribly. I have bites all over my body. I was laying in the bed and tiny and came across the pillow. I notified the front desk. They said they would send maintenance when available.they never came.

Wouldn't recommend this place if you have kids. More of a old folks resort we had our 2 year old twins and 9 month old and an older gentleman made a comment about think you have enough kids ignorantly and then they say no deposit but once you get there they want a deposit

Alhambra is an experience in itself. The suites are HUGE and the floor plan is very well laid out. The property is beautiful. You could easily spend an entire day just using the park and swimming in the pool which is definitely a 9 out of 10. Only for the fact that the deepest part is only 5 feet. Besides that it's large, clean, well serviced and super relaxing. Your room will feel more like a home than a hotel. It's fully stocked with every type of kitchen and bath utensil you can think of. The staff are well trained and very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Their texting system is super convenient. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for more than just a place to stay in Florida. This is a great place that lives up to its name of "resort and villas" and will deliver the experience you want when visiting for Disney or Universal.

Great getaway! Samantha, Megan, Tak and Emily were so nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back. The staff is what really set this place apart from others. I loved my week stay there. Keep up the good work!

Initially, we were impressed with the cleanliness of this “resort. ” Hours into our stay- there were a ton of crazy ants all over the kitchen and living room. The coffee maker did not work and the washing machine had some complications as well. The unit is very dated and the location is terrible.

Awesome experience. The staff was amazing. The 2 bedroom suite was perfect accommodations for my family. The furniture could use updating. There was a little smell in the room when we entered.
The screened in patio with a table and chairs really provided a home away from home feel.
Highly recommend.

Can't even get in touch with anyone to book a stay. I guess a good reason is preparing for Hurricane Ian, but no one can answer the phone? I've called Diamond Resorts Customer Service and they can't even get in touch with the property to answer questions I had before I can book. And will not book unless the questions are answered since it's for a Company stay.

Do better.

Excellent unit. Very nicely laid out with all the comforts of home. Very roomy, clean, up-to-date televisions, cable, good wifi, laundry in unit ect.

Got there in there computers was down. Told we would get a call in an hour so that we could check in however no one ever called went back after 2 hours and was told we would only get a temporary key and we would have to come back in the morning because the key would not work on the next day. Room was very nice however the water was hard due to chemical buildup on the shower which they said they would come and take a look at but they never did. My husband cleaned the shower head and we were good. Could not open Windows as we did not have the second layer of curtains or shades which we express to the front desk and they said they would come out but they never did. Also we weren't aware that we had to go to a presentation. Customers beware. Thank you!

I was soooo please to personally see how the villa was. We are from New York and are use to very upscale resorts. The feeling we had being there was like this was our property away from home. The staff were super professional and sweet. The villa had everything we needed. Pots pans, plates spoons etc. There's a family dollar right next door so we were able to buy our cold one, and Frank's and burgers long with whatever else we wanted. Cooking saved us so much money. The rooms are super clean, the bed was very comfortable and the atmosphere all around was so peaceful. This is definitely great for families. Thank you guys so much for making our stay so comfortable. The security were all super sweet. Front desk so helpful. I miss it already and we just landed! Please do not listen to the reviews that speak poorly about the resort. We almost didn't book our trip here because we were sceptacle. I'm so happy we went to experience it ourselves. Thank you guys foraking our stay a memorable one️
