It is incredible that can never get in contact with anyone from that office. They have a phone number for no reason! Disgraceful.

I personally really enjoy the doctor she is amazing very patient very detail oriented my only complaint would be with the front desk staff there is a lady who seems to either not like what she does as a job or just despises the patients whenever you ask her a question she always answers as if she’s trying to argue with you. I was even told by her that anyone who comes to the office will have to wait an hour or two just to be seen which in my opinion I would think that is a problem and someone should be watching the scheduling no one should be waiting over an hour for an appointment.

No one ever told me that I needed to go back to an appointment in order to get refills for my birth control, they were very rude when I explained my situation. And doctor does not make you feel taken cared of during your visit.

We chose Dr. Acon to deliver both our first and second children. We were lucky enough to meet her after our original Dr tried to push us to induce just before she was going to go on vacation. Thankfully Dr. Acon was the backup doctor and she was nice enough to meet with us in advance so we could discuss our birth plan and to get to know her. My wife chose to deliver naturally (without epidural) and Dr Acon was supportive the whole way. She always let us know of any risks and options and was patient through a very long labor. She is a wonderful professional also is bilingual which was great as my mother in law only speaks Spanish and she was able to communicate with her. I can't say enough great things about her. Keep in mind her office staff may not be a 10 out of 10 but the Dr.herself is great. If we have a 3rd she would hands down be the Dr that we would call.

Dr. Acon is a very nice doctor the down side to her office is her staff and office manager are very unprofessional and rude making your visit unpleasant.

Dr. Acon was my first gynecologist and I have to say I'm really disappointed with the way her and her staff treated me. Very snappy staff and unprofessional service, and lot of the questions I came to her with in my first appointment were left unanswered. I missed one appointment because of exams and now I none of emails or calls are being answered. If you're someone who is looking for a doctor who won't make you feel uncomfortable (especially if you're a younger person like me) I would not recommend this place.

Staff was a little rude but I was ready to look past that. Saw the doctor and felt like just another patient and when I tried to explain what I was worried about belittled my problems and I honestly felt invalidated. Weird experience don’t plan on going back.

Dr. Acon is amazing. She is patient and takes her time with her patients making sure to address all concerns. I had seen other doctors and was not happy with them and was blessed to have found Dr. Acon and to have her to deliver our first child. We will be using her for all future children, God willing. It’s rare to find such quality doctors. I could not imagine having anyone else.

I should have believed the reviews here. While Dr. Acon has good bedside manners, I am not happy that I was billed for hundreds of dollars for a procedure that was not done.
I suggest you go elsewhere or think twice.

Great Doctor, sweet and honest. The staff is great, Office manager, will help with any issue that you have with insurance, at least in pointing you in the right direction. Thank you all for the help you gave me.

Best OB you can have. She delivered all 3 of my sons and will return for my next ones. You can tell she loves her job by the way she cares about your pregnancy every step of the way. She’s very knowledgeable and has a ton of experience. Also, memorial Miramar is a great hospital to deliver your baby because all the nurses and Dr. Acon are the best at making your experience go smooth and memorable.

Great Doctor, lovely staff. They help you with understanding your insurance, something no other Doctor's office does. When you see the physician, trust me is the best feeling ever.

While the doctor is absolutely wonderful, her current staff and manager are a complete nightmare. Dr. Acon is understanding, patient, answers all your questions, but her current staff (not the girls she had while I was pregnant) and her manager are a terror. I had to switch offices because of insurance issues, and when I called to get my records sent to me (during the COVID pandemic) via email, the girl on the phone said its fine, just fill this out and we will send them over. I requested them with over a week to go into my new obgyns office and didn't get anything. When I called, they said they couldn't email them to me, EVEN THOUGH THE GIRL ON THE PHONE SAID THEY COULD. At that point I spoke to the manager, who is probably the worst of all, and instead of being helpful she told me she couldn't do anything and I would have to come in, and PAY TO get my own medical records! I was in utter shock and disbelief, and I told her I was on my way to get them and to have them ready and she said no she would need another three days! After I had already requested them 7 days prior. NIGHTMARE! So if you want a great doctor, with horrible staff, this is the best choice.

Gosh, I don't know where to begin. Dr. Acon is truly a Godsend to women and their families. She is an angel in a white coat! I have been seeing her for two years, and in that short time frame, she removed my fibroids, delivered my baby, and performed his circumcision - all with expert precision and care. With each of these procedures, our recovery time was short with no complications. We were up and active in less time than she estimated. While in the hospital, she saw me everyday, and she personally called my husband to assure him I was doing fine. Many doctors of her caliber do not do this. They usually leave it to their staff -especially if they don't feel their time with you is medically necessary. But, that is not her. She is personal, warm, and compassionate. And, she seems to truly love her job, and seeing her patients happy. I am glad I met her.

Best experience I ever had with any doctor. Very precise and intelligent. Great personality with amazing people skills. If you are worried or concerned on who to choose to deliver your baby, who would take care of your best interest and your health. Dr Alicia Akon will be your best choice. She saved our baby’s life. Forever thank you!
