Aliya May is a wonderful, professional, and knowledgeable psychiatric PA. She genuinely cares and works very hard on a patient’s problems. I highly recommend her!

I have her contact information as Aliya the BEST PA. I have bipolar disorder, I have seen many practitioners, they have recommended many different treatments. Aliya is the only one who realized I would benefit from ECT, it changed my life. I also need medicine to keep me able to maneuver in todays society even after treatment. She took time to learn my story, hear my history. She cares, which is rare in a industry where mental health professionals see so many people and you become a generalized disability, and each time you have an appointment you are seeing someone else who has no idea about your past, except what is listed in the previous persons notes? Which usually are minimal and not really helpful. Alyia has been an intricate part of my treatment plan and my mental health would not be at the level it is without her knowledge, compassion, Kindness.

I have been seeing Aliya for several months now and she has been the best psychiatrist that I’ve had. She’s already helped me much more than other psychiatrists and therapists because she actually listens and cares. A great healthcare professional is knowledgeable and compassionate as well. I was apprehensive about finding a psychiatrist. Meeting Aliya May was the best thing that happened to me in 2022. Aliya has been an indispensable part of my healthcare team for over a year now. Aliya is good-natured, kind, and friendly. Aliya May is super book-smart regarding our treatment plan for me, and my medication, which she prescribes for me. Our treatment plan for me has improved my life significantly. It’s convenient to meet regularly with Aliya. We meet in-person, and online using Telehealth video chat. Meeting with Aliya May has been a positive, life-changing experience for me.

I have been with Dr. Aliya May for over a year now. In the past I had another Dr. However my insurance changed and I couldn’t have fell into better hands than Aliya May. Dr. Aliya May truly cares. No matter how long it takes with my appointments she listens to my every thought and situation. Im pleased to say that she has never given up on me, when my medication did not work Aliya May did not stop until she found the correct medication for my issues. Not only has she changed my mental health Aliya May makes sure she checks in with me before my appointments just to make sure that I’m okay and that my medications are working as they should. Aliya May makes sure after every visit that if something is off with me that I’m to call her immediately. I’ve never had a Dr. That is so passionate with what she does. I’ve been going to Aliya for about a year now. I came from another psychiatrist and I wasn’t pleased with that one. So I was referred to her by a friend who told me she was very nice and helpful. With Aliya unlike the last one she actually has interest in helping me and caring to communicate with me almost like a therapist. The last psychiatrist made me feel rushed with in 5 mins the appointments would be over, not with Aliya she takes her time. With the last therapist it was so hard to get a hold of him which made me sick sometimes, with Aliya’s office it is so easy to get a hold of of them! She is very sweet, friendly and professional. She educates me and makes sure I’m ok with the plan of care that she feels is best for me. Which I must say I feel so much better with the care she provides for me. I’ve been able to make great changes that help me all thanks to Aliya. I recommend her 10/10.

Ms. May is a caring and compassionate physician, ive suffered from trauma from childhood and domestic violence she is the only one who ive seen that actually listened, and actually prescribed a medication that helps, i am extremely grateful for her care and recommend her to anyone who wants a physician who genuinely cares.

Don't dare laugh at this "Karen's" questions. She was offended that I asked about her education and wrote that in my medical records. A patient should never be made afraid to ask questions. Terrible experience - And contrary to reviews here, not a Psychiatrist MD but "psychiatric" physician assistant- there is a difference.

Aliya May's treatment and support are unparalleled. I feel like I won the lottery with having her as my provider. I have been seeing her 3 years now and every session helps me. Her bedside manner is outstanding - she helps me feel calm, validated, and hopeful for the future. Throughout my time with her, I've realized she is an expert in her field. She has up to date knowledge on research, medications, and other treatment therapies that are extremely helpful. I have had several chronic illnesses my entire life, which have led to a number of mental health issues, and I have seen countless healthcare providers. Aliya May is easily the best medical professional I have ever had. I recently had to move from Tampa to Ft. Myers and I am able to continue treatment with her, and I could not be more grateful.

Excellent care! I have been treated by psychiatrists for a very long time. I finally found a great one! Aliya is a PA-C, but to me, I think she is just like a Doctor. Very Knowledgeable and really works with you to find a good treatment plan! All my past psychiatrists would be 5-10 minute visits, in and out! Aliya remembers who you are and what you talked about from your prior visits. I say emphatically, she has given me the best care that I have ever had! Thumbs up to you Aliya! I hardly ever leave reviews, but I had to this time!

Finally found a competent one that listens and is very empathetic. Aliya is very knowledgeable and one of if not the best psychiatrist I’ve seen.

Aliya has been my psychiatric provider for 3 years at this point. I follow her. She’s the most dedicated and kind psychiatric provider I have ever experienced. I have learned a LOT from her and finally have a handle on my mental health. I’ve been in antidepressants for a LONG time, and I’m running out of options, so someone who will research and look into things for you is a definite plus. I love her.

I’m sad that another reviewer had a bad experience. But, it was clearly a communication error. Aliya’s schedule has changed a lot and she is in multiple places on different days, so that could have been part of the issue.

Ms. May is by far the kindest provider I have encountered in many, many years. Her concern is genuine. You will always feel she in truly empathetic and never in a hurry. She is involved in her patient’s care and treatment and encourages patient involvement.
Her professionalism and knowledge of current treatment options is impressive to say the least. She researches your concerns and seems focused on patient health. Quite simply, the best medical professional I have encountered to date.

Aliyah is one of the most patient, kind, and professional people I have ever encountered in the medical field. She's caring and considerate. She understands your concerns and works with you to help you have the best possible outcome. I have been working with her for 6 months to get my medication regimen straightened out. There's been lots of trial and error but she's always made herself available to me whenever we're making a change so that I can call her if I have a problem. I have called her and she has gotten right on the phone with me. I don't know what I would do without her. I was losing hope until I met her and now she is turned my life around and I'm not just alive. I'm living. I can't thank her enough or recommend her more highly

I’ve been on adderal for 20 years and always knew it was bad and I should get off it but this wasn’t the way. I was taking 20mg 2x day and asked for XR. She prescribed 20mg XR once a day. I picked the prescription up 1 week after it was called in because the twice a day dosage would last more than 30 days. But when she cut my dosage in half, the prescription lasted 25 days. She made me go a week without it and if you have taken adderal for 20 years, that’s an unimaginable HELL. Since I’m halfway through the pain of detox I told her don’t bother calling it in, I’ll just get off it entirely. This is abusive, careless and unprofessional. She wouldn’t even return my call, staff had to chase her downs and then she couldn’t care less.
Unless you like being forced to detox off your meds without consent don’t see Aliyah May.
