Bob Ely, Hot Tub Bob, has no idea what he is doing. Angie recommended him and he was a real disappointment. Three months later, our hot tub is still inoperative. If there was a lower rating than 1 Star, he would get it. Given, he appears to be a nice guy, but he is not skilled in repairing spas. On his initial visit, he spent about 15 minutes pulling the skirts off our free-standing Master Spa. He then declared that the pump was bad and said it would be $500 to get a new one. (This is a hot tub that we have used for barely two years.) He then left with my check and said he would follow-up in two weeks. I finally called him and scheduled an install of the new pump. He brought a colleague with him to put the new pump in. Bob sat and watched his partner do the work. Still not working. He said he needed to check with an electrician and would follow up. Three weeks later, he shows up with his same helper and they replaced the receptacle on the spa electrical wiring. Still not working. He then said he would have his electrician (Modern Electric) come out to check the circuit. They called and Set an appointment three weeks later. He was a no show. So I had to hire my own electrician who came out to check the circuit and found everything to be fully operational. I then reached back out to Bob; no response. Now I am out $500 for a pump I didn't need and our spa still isn't working.
