Alva Country Diner

Atmosphere was great, service personnel was very pleasant, and food was excellent. Also on display, the biggest cup of coffee EVER! LOL

Good country cooking. Had to have the cold meatloaf sandwich because it reminded me of home. (Where else are you going to find one of those?) Was well worth the four and a half bucks I paid for it.

The Alva diner is an area institution. They don't take credit cards, but they sell the same stuff other places sell for $2-$3 less per item. The food is good and hearty, the breakfast omelettes are huge. The menu is Southern diner. Fried chicken, all you can eat specials, stuff you don't want to cook at home sometimes. Grits or hash browns. Set a spell and relax if they don't have a line.

Food was okay. Steak was tough. Corn is not a vegetable. The place has lost its nostalgic feel and the food quality has declined. Miss the old place.

Do you like home cooked meals? Do you like massive portions? Do you want at least six selections of pie? This is probably your place. There's a reason for the line out the door.

Amazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great. The waitress are always so friendly and extra nice with our little one. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get really good food.

We found this place out on a road trip. I was surprised it's a cute little place. The food was good and very reasonably priced.

Their broasted chicken was worth bragging about.the Reubens were very well proportioned.the rolls before dinner was great.

Alva Diner is my favorite restaurant in this area from when ai lived here over a decade ago. The food is still delicious— especially the broasted chicken! Crispy yet not greasy. Reasonable prices and a nice family atmosphere. Service is fair.

Very fast and friendly service but the boasted chicken is horrible. Sorry but we won't be back and its sad because we've eaten in house before and I enjoyed the down home country feel and comfort food but don't sell something its not. It was dried out rubber with a tasteless cold crispy coating.

Wow! Could not believe the amount of food for the price. Food is excellent and Eden our waitress is a keeper. Greeted with a smile from entry to exit. Back again but not getting 2 pancakes this time.lol

Food is delicious in a very clean environment and prices are great. Best fried chicken and prime rib! Cash only.
Real Florida country dining, but no cussin’ or spittin' on the floor.

For a little hole-in-the-wall diner, it's great! Food is always hot and delicious! Breakfast and coffee are awesome but the best is the all-you-can-eat fish, prime rib and broasted chicken. The worst is trying to decide what to have. Did I mention the home-made pies? Yum! The service is quick and no-nonsense (they're busy!). The place ain't pretty, the tables are small and the bathrooms are the size of porta-johns. Sometimes you'll have to wait to be seated, sometimes you'll wait a long while but it's definitely worth it. Five stars from customers in Fort Myers!

Great food, my shrimp basket & my husband's breakfast were cooked just right. Great service, we were greeted as soon as we entered. The diner is spacious inside. I can't wait to go back ️

If this place was on Diners, DriveIns, and Dives, it would definitely be in the Dive classification. But, their biscuits and gravy was outstanding.

Its a small little diner it's comfortable, they have some good chicken and fries although their fries weren't seasoned good at all they're very nice people and quick and good service. They also have great Clam Chowder.

I had the breakfast omlette all in. It was spectacular with cheese grits and a biscuit. Staff was friendly and the location was dated but the food was spectacular. Would definitely RECCOMEND.

Absolutely the best. The food was awesome and the service was impeccable. Donna was our waitress. She was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. This was our first time there and she made it so inviting. The food was wow wow wow. Highly recommended.

Great little diner! Staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are incredibly cheap. Definitely will come back here.
