Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center reviews
17This is a great place for learning and study. It’s very quite. The people who work here are very friendly and will always help you find what you are looking for.
Got a parking citation for parking here and there's no signs to show or tell you where library parking is at. It's BS. Decent service but sucks when it comes to check out drop off or returning items. And the open/close time and when you can checkout time is open/closed doesn't appear or show. Just awful
Great lib. Very clean and tidy. They really need to extend the hours past 11 pm, or get some more late night study spots on campus.
Great outreach to Broward county youth. Part of the NSU library. Lots of fun activities for kids and teens. They put on a great Storyfest event every spring.
Great facility, attentive staff, clean, well designed. Overall: good experience for research and focused writing.
Wished I took pictures. I attended an event there and seems there was another event happening on the same floor we were on. There was noise coming from the other event and the staff seamlessly closed us off with partitions and the noise stopped.very professionally managed. Very Impressive technology in the meeting space that had several speakers. Restrooms were also immaculate! Beautiful building.
Excellent architecture concept and design! Bright natural illumination. Amazing collection of books. Congratulations!
Excellent library that's a part of the Broward Public Library System and therefore open to the public.
A great library. Lots of space to study and get your work done. I gave the library a 4 because it needs improvement, such as loud talking is not controlled, security doesn't pay attention, and there is a homelessness problem in the library. Also there is an ant/bug infestation on upper floors cubicles. Still its a great library.
I went there on May 7,2021. It is located at Nova Southeastern University. The hours are great and plenty of tables to use for your laptop or phone to charge. They have computers for college students only or if you live in Broward County. To get there, take the 2 bus to SW 30 St.
I live in Miami-Dade and work and play in Broward. I enjoy the fun, peace, and various family-friendly offerings at the public libraries throughout both counties. Right now, I’m enjoying the Friday Film Discussions at the Alvin Sherman Nova Library in Davie. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help, like Marie in Circulation. The film discussions are by Zoom and I often need help with registering, accessing Zoom, as well as with saving the calendar for future movie discussion schedules. The library staff make the experiences even more delightful as they assist us who may need help with maneuvering the library’s various facets to achieve our goals. Bravo, Alvin Sherman Librarians, bravo!
My husband and I we went to rent the movie titanic we got there at 7: 37 pm and we went to check out at the counter and the ladies who were working there.they said.that it closes at 7: 45 we were on the line at 7: 50 pm. We went just for that movie because on the internet it says that the library close at 8pm, so bad that they refused to assist us.
I was so happy to learn that Nova University's library is open to the public. It's a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility with computers, WiFi, and outlets for your electronic devices. There's a Holocaust exhibition with a large variety of Holocaust memorabilia. There are beautiful works of art on display as well. I spent several hours here for a big class assignment I was working on, and it was a very pleasant experience despite the grueling homework. They are open quite late hours too, so you can study for as long as you need to.
Very beautiful library. Wonderful collection, great programs and exhibitions, and, most importantly, super-friendly staff. Love this place. I take my kids there all the time. Very thankful.
Best library in terms of available material, interior design, and respect by users to keep voices low or quiet except the occasional passerby.
Awesome library. Highly recommend visiting the holocaust remembrance rooms. Wish the fifth floor would be done soon!
I've been to a lot of libraries before but this one is top of the line, very impressed.
