Went in to look around. Apparently, only 1 person working and had no personality at all. We asked where something was and she told us the wrong direction. Never said anything, have a nice day, can I help you, have a good day, etc

Tons of souvenir clothing! Atire for everyone in the family! We wanted a hoodie that said Panama City and guess what! Everything said it. Our family likes to explore and go through these types of souvenir shops! Thanks for making it fun) The only downside is the prices have gone up in the last year. But so has everything else: - (We love the compact cluttered organized chaos!

Wow, this place is the bottom of the barrel for rude employees. Every word you speak to them is annoyance, and every step you take is an inconvenience to their work chit chat. God bless anyone with the patience to shop here more than once.

P. S. What kind of a business advertises restrooms in a store that DOESN'T HAVE ANY?

Dont advertise you're open till a certain time when yall just decide to close whenever. Its just pathetic

BAR SERVICE! We purchased a BUNCH of stuff from here. Towels, shoes, swim suites, etc. We were told that the only things that could not be returned were clothing, towels, basically any type of apparel. Nice lady said all other items could be returned if they were unopened. We tried to return two unused masks because we overcounted. At $17+ each it was a decent price for two extra.

We tried to return the two unopened masks we had bought less than an hour ago, and we were rudely told that there were no exchanges of any kind or refunds. That was after waiting a good 10 min for someone to come from the back. This was an Indian lady and wasn’t the same lady we had checked out with. She stared silently at us as we explained, but gave no other response. We were obviously an inconvenience to her.

Walmart had the same stuff for 60% less 10min away. They will take returns. I will never be returning to Alvin’s again.

My friends and I went to grab towels this afternoon. There was nobody at the register on the apparel side of the store, so I went to the gift shop part to ask if I could check out there. The woman working on this side of the shop was stocking her shelves rolled her eyes at me and snapped that I need to go to the other side. I told her nobody was over there and she scoffed, slammed the items she was stocking onto the ground, and walked away speaking in another language, leaving my friend and I appalled and with nobody to help us check out our things. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life.

The majority of stuff is just overpriced. Way overpriced. But it's a sure place to get a good t-shirt, sweater, decent swimsuit and some souvenirs when you're in PCB

Employees here are extremely rude. I went to return an anklet that didn't fit, and the first lady told me to go to cash register 1. So I stood in front of cash register 1 for 10 minutes before asking her if someone was actually working cash register 1. She said yes. I asked "do you know where they are? " She starts yelling the other employee's name across the store, like it was an inconvenience for them to actually have to do their job. The store wasn't even that busy! Then, the 2nd worker acted like I was a thief, looking the anklet over, making me fill out a return form & then wouldn't let me have my original receipt back. I spent hundreds of dollars in this store for them to be treating me like a thief over a $15 anklet. I was going to do more shopping after my return, but after that interaction, I didn't feel like giving them anymore of my money.

This is the worst Alvin's Island I've ever been to I have spent close to $1,000 in this store since I've been here on vacation because they do have a large selection of name brand clothing surf clothing that we do like and every time I've come in here the people are very rude they speak in different languages so you do not understand them so you know they're talking about you their sign says they close at midnight but yet every time I go they have rushed us out the door as early as 11: 15 11: 20 tonight I went to return a couple T-shirts that did not fit properly I asked for help several times the lady was so beyond rude that if you didn't get in trouble for slapping people I would slap her and I'm not a violent or angry person I would suggest do not waste your time driving down to this Alvin's Island because the people are ridiculous here and we pay their salaries by going to their store and buying their product she went as far as to get her husband or whoever it might have been come out at 11: 30 to let us know they were closing and locking up even though there's still people all in the store and he was letting everybody know this is absolutely ridiculous this establishment needs to find new management or whatever company owns Alvin's Island needs to come in here and check the people that are working here when we went to the cash register the girl got a bad attitude with this and started speaking in a different language and was talking bad and made a sigh sound because we were checking out I can't explain to you the disrespect and how bad things were at this place it's absolutely ridiculous I will never ever buy anything from Alvin's Island or waste my money again do not waste your time or money at this one.

The store has a good selection and is quite a large place. Air conditioning didn't work well. Was there with my family, and after shopping for a while, my bad hip started bothering me, so i decided to sit on a stable table in the store. The rude shirt folding lady that looks like she hates her job made me get up. Didn't care when i told her i have a bad hip. So i quickly gathered my family and had them put their items back, and we went to another store

My first experience at this store was great. Their clothes selection was the best compared to every other Alvin's island in town so I decided to go back and shop some more. After today I will spend my money at a different surf shop from now on. The first lady we asked a couple of questions to was rude, then we asked her for help bringing something down and she huffed and puffed and when we said thank you she said "yep. " Then she told us at 11: 39 PM that we had to go check out because they were closing. I told her we were almost done and we still had like 20 minutes and she said no we close our register every night at 11: 45 so head to the front to check out. Then she went to go get her manager to tell us to leave. We were going to buy over $500 worth of stuff and decided to leave most of it and buy the bare minimum after that. Then the lady at the front desk started speaking in another language and was mad because we wanted to pay. I don't understand what type of establishment you are running but if you close at 11 45 then change your hours to 11 45 so that people know, don't disrespect paying customers. I'm in the restaurant industry people walk in 3 minutes before we close and we have to provide amazing customer until they leave even if that is an hour after close. So I don't understand the need to be disrespectful to paying repeat customers when the building isn't supposed to close it's doors until 12 AM. Will never be back to this Alvin's island again.

The Jamaicans that work here are quite helpful but do everything with an attitude. Asked to try on something an gave me hella attitude about it. Yet have a no exchange policy. Good customer service lol jkjk

Sold me a broken beach chair in the rain. I tried to exchange it after I actually got a chance to use it. NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Absolutely horrible service. Do not waste your time or money.

Went in there with family group. My husband and I checked out, and while checking out something didn’t have a price tag, and the woman didn’t even bother to tell me or anything, just walked off, and took forever to ring up 3 items. Kinda pricey considering most of the more pleasant friendly beach shops. Then my husbands daughter was checking out, and they asked her husband the price of something, then left them waiting while they still went to go look at the price. The people in here are very rude, nothing friendly about them. And not helpful at all. Do not give them your money! Check out sun stations! They are friendly, pleasant, and helpful if you need them. Also get a free plastic bag like they sell in most Ross and tj maxx shops. The prices are better. And they have a bigger better selection and practically all your beach needs. So go to sunsations instead! Do not go to this Alvin’s! Sucks! Rude staff!
