Alvin's Island - Panama City Beach #20

It is Wednesday, February 19, I just walked out of alvin’s without even purchasing my items, I stood at the cash wrap for 7-8 mins and watched the MANAGER FaceTime & argue in another language instead of ringing me up.when I said something about how unprofessional this was.she retracted with yelling back about how long it took me to make my purchases. I walked out and kept my money.this woman was MEAN and RUDE, you do not deserve this job and I’m sure their are plenty of well qualified people that actually enjoy customer service. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME or your money on these rat employees.

Never will I buy anything from this store or anything other Alvin’s Island location. I purchased a $63 beach chair unknowingly that my girlfriend had already purchased one. Less than 10 hours after purchase I attempted to return the item in perfect condition, with all tags and stickers attached, and with the original receipt. I was told they could not issue a refund per their policy. Now I am stuck with an item I have zero use for.

Do not go to this place. Return policy is ridiculous. Bought a ten dollar float in which they blew up. Popped at the seams before used. Would not refund or exchange. Bought $160 worth of merchandise. It's all going back.

SEE UPDATE BELOW. I never leave negative reviews, but this one was needed. Do not buy a float there, and even worse, don’t allow them to blow it up for you. Purchased three floats, they overfilled one and it bust at the seam (not a hole or anything that could be caused right after it was bought). It was put in the vehicle and bust. It was never used or sat on. Went in to exchange it shortly thereafter and they said they couldn’t exchange or refund. We showed them it had just been purchased. The woman who said she was a manager (who was absolutely a female dog.trying to be nice), said yes they filled it up, but can’t do anything about it. They knew they did it, but still did nothing about it. When I asked the woman who said she was the manager for her name, she would never say her name.that should tell you everything. Stay away from this place.

Update: I have moved the review from 1 star to 3 stars, due to Alvin Island corporate being helpful. I contacted Alvin Island corporate and explained the situation and they were able to resolve the situation within 24 hours and let me exchange the float for a new one (that was all that should have happened in the first place, as sometimes products have defects). Brian at corporate was great to work with, and the manager of the store (Kate) was nice as well. Whoever the lady was that wouldn’t give her name, was the entire reason this occurred. I’ll give her credit, she was smart enough to not give her name.as I imagine she is quite used to causing problems and knew there would probably be another complaint.

It's t's, swimwear, & a few other beach related items. Hardly anyone spoke English, sales posted were not honored, overpriced for no other reason than tourists will pay it.

Enjoyed looking around at the different things to buy in there. Got some flip flops in there I will remember my extra flip flops next time cause those things cost me $34.75 never have I paid that much for flip flops

Worst customer service in the world. So rude. All their signs and prices are incorrect. Cheap murchanidise. Super overpriced. And they do not honor the signs posted in the store.

The place to get all your beach gear and tourist gifts. Pick up a shell, a Panama City Beach tee, mug.or personalized gifts.

These people are out to take your money so don't shop there and don't buy anything from anyone who doesn't have a return policy unless you don't care if it breaks in 10 minutes because it will

Disgusting - Hate to even rate this with one star. Deserves zero stars. Waited in line 20 minutes because only ONE EMPLOYEE working the cash register with a huge store full of people? Another employee standing behind the counter screaming at her child- Apparently this "business" allows employees to bring children to work with them. Cashier left the plastic security tags on my bathing suit. Will never come back.

Reasonably priced. Customer service was great. Come in door and the employee were there to help find what you want
