Amavida Coffee Roasters reviews
21I’m Italian so I know how an espresso is supposed to taste. And I’ve actually had so many bad espresso in so many countries. But I’ve never had one such terrible as here. At least the cappuccino decoration was pretty nice. It costs around 4 dollars and it’s served on a paper cup, just to say.
This was our go to coffee place while visiting 30A! We went here every morning, and the coffee is quality. The vanilla lattes are delicious, and we had it hot and cold. Big fans!
From the outside, the shop looks really pretty, that is the only positive thing I can say. I ordered an espresso for over four dollars, so one might assume that (as it is my most expensive espresso so far) it has to be the best espresso in the world. Well, I couldn't be more wrong. First of all, the espresso came in a paper cup, secondly, it was even with a lot of sugar undrinkable, definitely the worst espresso I ever had. Worst of all, it didn't even wake me up. I don't know what I drank there, but it surely was not a real espresso.
This place is awesome! The staff was extremely friendly, the pastries were fresh and delicious, and the coffee was heavenly! The atmosphere is really chill, it's a great place to hang out and drink a coffee near the beach.
If you're looking for coffee I highly recommend you head down to this place!
Fantastic shots. No complaint there.
Label on muffin: $4.50
I was charged $5 plus tax.
I challenged it. The man said “it’s inflation”.
I protested again and eventually got a free muffin, but with no apology.
That amounts to stealing to charge more than the menu or item says.
Watch out!
Great coffee. Organic; farmer-focused; delicious. Also, great people. Special shout-out to Kris for going above and beyond to help me today.
Great place to bike to in the morning. Everyday we wake up, I bike here to bring back breakfast for the rest of the family. They have great pastries and even better lattes. I haven’t found something on the menu I didn’t like. Highly recommend to anyone looking for convenient but delicious breakfast and coffee.
Amavida has always been a seaside staple, and after their unfortunate move to the edge of central square, they still uphold their wonderful quality and fast service. I would say they rank exceptionally high in the available coffee options, however their breakfast and seating options fall short of the new black bear coffee location near by. I think they are still well worth a visit and I encourage visitors to try their donut truck out front too!
Got a 12oz hot vanilla latte with almond milk and it was quite good. Barista was friendly and helpful.
I think we came to this coffee shop every morning of the seven days we were here! Just a short golf cart ride from our home, it was the perfect spot to grab an early morning Americano or cold brew. The staff were always pleasant, and they coffee was always good. They also had a nice little selection of pastries and other chilled bottled/canned beverages like a CBD kombucha, juice, and little immunity shots. Also, a big plus for shops like this who use the lids on their cold bevs that have a spout and don’t require a straw!
I annoy anyone who will listen about the virtues of a good cortado, and this place *nails* it.
Never anything but friendly and fast service. Somehow they keep the place spotless even though it has constant foot traffic all day every day.
I hate this place every day when we are at 30A.
It’s hard to find sugar free syrup that doesn’t have a nasty aftertaste- their sugar free vanilla latte was perfect! Breakfast sandwich was good too. Highly recommend!
Fantastic spot. We drive from Blue Mountain almost daily to enjoy their great coffee and matcha lattes.
Cool coffee shop with super friendly and service oriented staff. The place was clean and COVID conscious. We had breakfast and coffee and all items were delicious. From their quiche to croissants to avocado toast to iced lattes, all were tasty.
Looking for Pour Over? This is NOT the place. Staff not trained in how (or too busy) to do a proper pour over. Waited 10+minutes while the staff person tried to make three other drinks in between pouring the water over the grounds for our coffee. WHAT!? They had all the right components, but terrible execution. Don't advertise "pour over" if you do not have the training or time to give to it. Next time will save myself the 25 minute drive and just go to Starbucks.
Craft coffee is important. When you combine a group of individuals who take the craft seriously with a roasting setup and a vision to rise above what’s accepted as common, this place is the result.
Proper shots, nitro cold brew on tap, local kombucha, and a serious commitment to quality.
Adding to my Craft Coffee map of the universe.
Friendly and delicious. Bakery items, kombucha, soda, wine too. $4.50 for a pour over and it was absolutely worth it. Delicious!
Coffee is good but the Barista needs to learn how to keep his workplace clean, it is full of spills and coffee grounds. Every coffee that went out while I was there was sat in that mess and the guy didn’t even bother to wipe any of them down! What a shame! Oh did I mention how hot the damn thing was?
I had by far the worst coffee that I have ever had in my entire life here. A simple carmel frappe almost made me puke. They did not even mix it, there was half an inch of syrup at the bottom of the cup. The coffee taste like what my husband and I refer to as "beach coffee". It tastes very similar to dunkin donuts. Yuck.
Some of the best coffee and treats! Love their frozen coffees, guava pastry and empanadas! During peak tourist season it gets pretty crazy and crowded in this small space due to COVID restrictions, with just enough room for orders to go in and out. If you order any type of coffee besides a drip brew be prepared to wait a while for it. It would be nice to consider a different strategy during this time of restrictions to have things run more efficiently. No indoor seating allowed yet. Looking forward to being able to sit inside and work there again sooner than later.
