Feb 16/23- Delicious authentic home cooked German cuisine! House salad was cold & fresh. Jaeger Schnitzel and Weiner Schnitzel were outstanding. Nice wine list as well. We ordered Black Forest cake to go, we were too full. Lol! Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Pricing was appropriate. Will gladly go back.

Native German here: Had the following -
Jägerschnitzel - 9.5/10
Red Cabbage - 9/10
Weihenstephaner 7/10 (be aware of yeast “boogers” in beer - the server just disregarded our remarks)
Züricher Geschnetzeltes 9.5/10
Goulash - 6/10 meh, not enough meat
Great food, missing music, service is average. Could be the best German restaurant in SoFlo if these things got fixed.

Nice decor and server was friendly. Food was very mediocre in my opinion. Offered refill on soda, then charged for it.

It was like being in a real German restaurant. We were 10 people and everyone was satisfied and happy. It's an awesome experience. We will reapeat it. The food is absolutely delicious.

Amazing family owned restaurant. Once you walk through the door you will be amazed. Food is authentic and homemade. Wonderful place for a quiet dinner or check out the World cup!

The food was great, reasonably priced. And the staff was friendly and responsive. You need to go to here for sure.

Food was a bit bland tonight. Tartar needed more flavor. Schnitzel was a nice portion but topping needed some oomph. Service was excellent.

Great place, has been around forever. When you park note that the spaces right in front are metered but the ones 10 steps away along the street are free. The Ambry is charming with a set up with totally separate rooms holding about 4 tables. The only reason I did not give five stars is because we were seldom visited by a server and would’ve had to get up and go looking for them to submit our request. When we asked for white bread it came out less than completely fresh. Otherwise though the food was absolutely excellent. I had the combination plate with pork and sausages and my wife had I think it was veal with Alfredo sauce and Spaetzle. By the way they no longer have a salad bar but they have added a couple of large picnic tables. Charming atmosphere and tons of beer mugs and antiques. If you’ve never had wheat beer try the Tucher. I’m not a beer drinker but I always enjoy this when eating German food.

As always, it’s a great German restaurant. They used to have a salad bar with amazing things on it that they got rid of due to Covid. They said they were not going to be bringing it back so, they got four stars. Otherwise it is definitely worth it to check out for great authentic German food.

Me & 20 other family members went to The Ambry German restaurant on Saturday nite. I felt like I was back in Munich at the Hofbrauhaus only the food was much better and the German beer was colder!

I recommend the fresh hot pretzels, Bratwurst, Beef Rouladen & Schweinebraten!

We had a great time celebrating my recent BD in part cause the food & service was so good (thank you Holly) and we had our own room so our noisy family didn’t disturb any other patrons! Prost!

Great menu. I had Prime Rib & it was tender, delicious and a perfect medium rare as requested. I was there before 6PM and got the early bird special that includes soup or salad, 1 side and a complimentary dessert.all for $21.95. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.a bottle of French Pinot Noir was a reasonable $34.

It has been a while that I had visited this German restaurant originally owned by Gerd Mueller a famous German Soccer player. The food was great: Sauerbraten mir Rotkohl!

An unassuming, family-owned gem that’s been serving up authentic German food and drink in East Ft. Lauderdale for over 40 years.

I can’t say enough good things about The Ambry - step inside and it’s like being transported to a pub in Munich. Their menu looks like what I saw when I visited Germany and food tastes just as good.

Their early bird comes with soup (go with the French onion), salad that includes fresh German potato salad and slaw plus dessert for ~$23 is one of the best deals in town.

I opt for the paprika schnitzel and spaetzle because it’s always perfectly cooked and smothered in a delicious sauce, but their prime rib is also legendary and I’d put it up against any other restaurant in town including Morton’s or Blue Moon.

They also have a unique rotating seasonal selection of beers from the homeland and the service never disappoints.

5/5 stars for The Ambry.

Loved the atmosphere as the Ambry has several dining areas. Doesn’t feel crowed, service was terrific as well as the meal. Will be returning.

I absolutely love the ambiance of this German restaurant. I love how they have different areas/rooms for eating in. We were pretty loud but having a rather private room made it really easy to be able to still hear each other and not feel like we were a disruption to everyone else. The food was fantastic and the drinks were great. Our wait staff was really personable, and helped make our time here even more perfect. The details in decor are absolutely fabulous. So much to see all over this restaurant. I highly recommend it!
