Rude people at ticketing / check-in. Someone needs to hug those people they have some things going on.

If it weren't for certain employees I'd give no stars! From canceled flights, to being charged extra for bags (cause we're not supposed to travel with any) and exit row seats (i'm 6'5) I've come to abhor flying. I think I'll be going 2 southwestfrom now on, at least with them I can pick my seat!

2 months after I purchased and ticket business class flight. And all confirmed with seat assignments. American Airlines agent by mistake downgrade me to premium. So far they not able to give me the class I paid for and got approved. Let's hope until tomorrow they would be able to.

Brent at the American Airlines stand in Fort Lauderdale airport was absolutely amazing! He helped myself and my cousin when we were stressed about missing our flight. He checked our bags when everyone else said we couldn’t. He really went above and beyond to help us and had the sweetest disposition! He was our Christmas miracle! Thank you again, Brent!

I have to give American Airlines 5 stars! It was clean, smelled clean. Looked clean. The service and crew were professional. Restroom was clean. The pretzels and cookies were.well, pretzels and cookies. The flight was smooth.thanks Captain and co-pilot! No complaints from this frequent flyer!

Had the worst airline experience of my life with American. They delayed our flight to Miami to the point where my family was running across the airport only to see our connecting flight take off to Brazil without us. We and the other passengers were stuck in MIA up until the wee hours of the morning trying to get American to provide lodging or another flight.

My mom had to step in and translate back and forth for a Brazilian family that American Airlines had no interpreters for. Just glad we were in the same boat as that family or else they could have had an even worse night! Finally we were given a two-person hotel room for our FAMILY OF SIX.

The next day we boarded our new flight to Belo. After sitting for an hour we were told the plane was being refueled. Understandable, right? Well, we wait another hour and are then notified the third copilot has been overworked, and due to this the flight had been cancelled.

Finally, American gave us and the other passengers tickets to another airline. This airline had a great up-to-date plane and intuitive process that made us wonder why in the world American couldn't do the same.

Well, apparently American sent us to the new airline but not our baggage, so we ended up spending four days total in the clothes we set out in. Naturally American couldn't offer us a refund in any other form than flight points for their services. I really wish I was making this up.

Samira at the ticket counter was so rude and unfriendly that I honestly feel never flying with AA anymore. It’s because of people like this woman named Samira (she said she was the manager at FLL ticket counter) that American has a terrible customer service. Maybe AA need to review her customer service treatment and skills because the interaction i had with her was disgracefull, the worst in my life.

I was flying back with many COVID-19 restrictions to my final destination, so the poor agent had to suffer through about 30+ minutes with me. So many things to enter into the computer! But then, suddenly my flight diasapeared from the computer and it looked as if all my connections were cancelled. So she and the other agent got on the phone and finally, after much negotiating, got me back on my flight and on my way home! Everyone was so professional and polite and worked hard to help me out. Thank you FLL American Airlines desk, you guys are great!

Usually we fly JetBlue but this was a co share with American Airlines.

The plane isn't as nice as JetBlue's Airbus and definitely the entertainment system doesn't exist

Direct flight to Ft. Lauderdale was canceled last minute. Put on a flight thru Orlando to Miami. American would not pay for the cab back to Lauderdale. Lost my first class upgrade also.

After multiple auto-rebookings my flight was canceled without explanation. There are two customer assistance desks before the security check point.one for "main" and one for "priority. " When several flights were canceled, there was an obvious over 3 hour wait for the main line and a 5 minute wait for priority line. AA failed to distribute the burden and help customers. Then they themselves began to complain to us about the stress.they could have shared the burden and helped everyone.

1 star is to much! We will avoid American Airlines in the future. Our flight was delayed several hours then canceled. We were stuck in Miami for two days. Although Miami isn’t a bad place to be stranded, we wanted to get home.

We were put on a standby list and upon making it to the airport there was no trace of the standby for us in the system!

Needless to say we are allegedly confirmed (that means maybe) for a 8 pm flight that may be delayed or cancelled and would require us to stay another night!

American Airlines is less than subpar!

We had a very good flight with AA from Peru to the States, Miami. The plane was in a very good condition, the flight went smooth and everything was on time. The crew was very professional and friendly.

Will always be my last option.delayed my flight from MIAMI to DENVER for not having a gate to disembark on the connection.then they gave me the option to travel 2 days later.or change the airport and pay 70 uber dollars, still arrive here in Fort Louderdale and the window is closed.for me this company would go bankrupt.will forever be my last option.

Waited for 45 minutes in the wrong line since flights had been cancelled and we weren't notified. Desk staff was rude and dismissive. Rebooking is currently impossible as I have been on hold for 49 minutes. Worst experience I've ever had flying. I'm waiting to hear some lame excuse like "it's the weather, not our fault. "

AA is a joke.

They cancelled our flight, they lied about the cancellation reason, there was another flight that departed just at the same time we were booked for. They have not refunded the flight We had to rebook, hotel and other expenses to change the flight, very disappointing.
