American Grill - Restaurant and Bar, Orlando FL

I had a simple meal (chicken sandwich), but it was excellent. Service was great, food was fast and delicious, surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. Looking forward to coming back next month.

It is a casual place inside Doubletree Hilton. The chips and fish were good but the steak wasn’t well done as I requested. The drinks were good.

Avocado/guac bites were not tasty and fried guac which doesn’t work. Mac and cheese was good but tasted like velveeta. Wasn’t bad overall but way too expensive for what it was.

Wife and I went around 8: 30 for food.
Charcuterie board: excellent
Rice Protein bowl: excellent
Grilled cheese + tomato soup: excellent
Service was less than incredible due to the bar being pretty busy (we sat at a table). The chef came out to greet us before our food arrived, which was cool. Server was pleasant and was definitely not slacking on her job. Price was not uneasonable. Gratuity was automatically added, just an FYI

Ridiculously over priced food and cocktails. $20 for eight chicken wings, $12.50 for a rum and Coke. Literally no reason for theses prices.

I just ate at the Microwave grill absolutely non American, I had the ultimate mini shrimp cocktail and microwave swanson fish & chips were also microwd, this was the most disappointing meal I have had in 4 days here, I decided to try the lobby bar for food and it was a massive & very expensive mistake. I'm hoping not to get food poisoning as I am going to Universal tomorrow. I give it 1 star only because it was open and had a TV.

Very prompt and friendly service and the burger menu is awesome. We had the glazed donut burger and the flaming cheetah. Most definitely will be back the next time we're back in Orlando.

Sade at the bar was probably the best server I ever had at a bar before. She was very attentive and my drinks were on point. I would definitely recommend this bar just because of her service. Please give this woman a raise. Very professional and seemed like the hardest worker there. She was the only person working hard and paying attention to the customers at the bar. She treated every one there kind and with respect.

I am on a four night business trip, which always causes me trepidation as I have Celiac disease and am thus at risk due to 1) having every meal outside of my normal, known-safe routine, and 2) the potentially devastating results of getting gluten-dosed on a business trip.
I checked with the hostess at the desk of the restaurant and she said they don't have a guten-free menu, but could accommodate a gluten-free request. Based on that I requested a table. When she then brought me a menu and I asked her to describe the options she had mentioned, she deferred saying she could not describe them, but the chef would come out and talk to me. Her reluctance gave me pause that perhaps I had made a bad choice, but I waited for the chef.
I am very glad I did! He came out, introduced himself (I'm sorry I didn't make a point of catching his name), shook my hand, and said he would take care of me. He presented some options (he clearly knew what to look for in terms of gluten sources and cross-contamination), and we discussed my preferences. He was very personable and pleasant; we quickly arrived at a choice of one of his options - in short order he made a custom protein bowl for me, which he brought to my table himself. It was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone with a gluten allergy.

One of my fav Highlights to my birthday trip! Karren provided excellent service along with amazing tasting drinks. The Chicken Parmesan was delicious and temperature was perfect. Truly enjoyed this place and the prices were very manageable. Highly recommend and don't forget to stop by to try their delicious menu.

Fabulous! Best tater-tots! Highly recommend after a long day at Universal or a long travel day. 10/10. Burger has the perfect amount of bread to patty ratio

Our waitress was amazing. We ordered ribs, salad, and fried chicken. Chicken was great. Salad was housed by my 12 year old, ribs were cleared by my dad. Everything is expensive now a days so I don’t care what our bill was. Be kind to everybody now please! Thanks for a great dinner after a long day!

We have had dinner here for the past 4 nights. We had take out, and the food was packed professionally. All meals we had meet expectations with the exception of one. The ultimate chicken sandwich roll fell apart. Was not made for this type of offering. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Recommend!

Food was amazing, the service was top tier and the theming made me want to go on a adventure for some lost treasure

Nice little hotel bar, didn't have any food. Just a nightcap before bed. Bartender was attentive. Drink prices a little high. But very relaxing.

Located inside the double tree hotel. I tried to get food here but it was too late they were only serving drinks.
