My son used these guys for his mortgage. He was supposed to close and was told 2 days prior to closing date that they didn’t have condo review done? !? ! They took an an additional 2 weeks to get things done. Luckily my son wasn’t homeless. Someone dropped the ball.didn’t do their due diligence & we had to cancel movers, lawyer, electric, cable etc.we have owned several homes and condos and have helped our 3 children close on condos and homes. We have never had such a bad experience. Would not recommend.

From start to finish it was amazing to work with! All my questions were answered and I recieved almost daily updates throughout the entire process. They work quickly and efficiently to get you the best rate possible and closed. I highly recommend American Nationwide!

I had lots of questions and often found myself in a panic. But a quick call to Lawren and I had a better understanding and my nerves were at ease. I had a terrific experience with this company. Fazal Shaw was my broker and I worked closely with John Clyburn. There professionalism and diligence was second to none. I have never closed a home loan so fast. We set an aggressive date for closing and closed even sooner then that. The closing process was extremely simple and the documents easy to understand. I cant sing enough praises to this company, and thanks to John and Fazal for making a dream come true.

I would not recommend this mortgage company to anyone! Absolutely the worst mortgage company ever! Biggest rip off. Promises were made that were not kept. I missed out on 2 houses that i was in the closing process on. My loan officer had me close out 3 of my credit cards that were my only lines of credit which some of them i had for years. My credit score plummeted to the point that every mortgage company i have tried to go to i have had a hard time getting pre approved with! I spent thousands of dollars on appraisals, home inspections, earnest money, and paying off credit cards just to get a house. Im left with nothing but a low credit score! This company is the biggest joke ever! My loan officer went missing 2 times during the process where no one was not able to get in contact with him for weeks. I hate i even gave this company a chance. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT! I will definitely report this company to BBB and to the city and county assistance program to take them off of their list as a mortgage company to work with! My loan officer was Edward Stubbs and i would not recommend him or this company to anyone! Im baffled at how i was treated, manipulated and toyed with during my first time in trying to become a homeowner. I was definitely taken advantage of. I have never been so disappointed and helpless. I am at a true lost!

I would not recommend this company. They need to understand how to build relationships with the people they work with. Make sure to do your research.

We had a terrible experience with this company. There was no communication and we were asked over and over for the same paperwork we already provided. We scheduled closing and they kept asking for more. I kept providing them with paperwork and the day before closing they said we neglected to get them everything. I sent them numerous documents and we wouldn’t hear from them for days. We found out the day before closing that we would not be able to close “due to our negligence” so we had to push the closing back. We told the lender we wanted to withdraw our loan and he apparently never got that message to them. The communication is very poor as well as the professionalism. We were having an issue signing the document they sent and they said we weren’t following directions instead of helping us fix the issue that wasn’t even our problem. Overall very dissatisfied with this company and will never recommend them to anyone. We switched lending companies and have everything to close a week later!

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I have been in Real Estate for many years and I have NEVER experiences such a uneducated group of Loan Officers. Fannie Mae couldn't communicate, answer emails/phone calls. She has excuse after excuse as to why she has no idea what is going on with her files. She lied twice to me about having a clear to close, yet never did. My seller had to extend the closing twice due to her negligence and still the buyer may lose the home. I would NEVER recommend anyone to this company unless they want to lose money and their potential home.

Not sure if is because I'm an Hispanic, but they make me feel as not a valuable customer. I have to reach them every time I need an update for my loan.

For starters, I would question any company which has it's owner and employees go out and boost these review scores on consumer based websites. Secondly, my experience with American Nationwide Mortgage Company was abysmal. So bad, the local agent ended up quitting after being stonewalled by the corporate office. At the end of it all, they cost me an added 10% of the cost of the sale. They also disappeared for a time after the debacle which was my loan process. How they maintain an A+ rating with the BBB is beyond me. Perhaps, the BBB has lowered it's standards over the years.
