My family and I planned a dinner at Amore for my dad’s 95th birthday! It happened last night… It was our first visit, and everyone was truly impressed. Our group selected from both Italian and Portuguese menus, and we were all extremely pleased with our appetizers and entrées. As for dessert, most of us ordered the famous pastéis de nata and no one was disappointed. They were truly delicious and authentic. I plan on going back and ordering some pasteis with the intent that I will keep them in my freezer and take them out as needed! I had no idea this was possible, right here in Sarasota. Service was superbe, Thomas was our waiter and he could not have been more gracious and accommodating! There were 12 of us, 4 generations and he took care of everyone. My dad had the opportunity to speak Portuguese with owners Tito and Liliana. Thank you for taking care of us.

Amore Restaurant in FL is a cozy gem! The ambiance is warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a delightful meal. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel truly welcome. The food is absolutely scrumptious—fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor. From pasta to desserts, each dish is a delicious masterpiece. A must-visit spot for a fantastic dining experience!

Small family owned place with Italian and Portuguese menu, we had the cod fritters and lobster claw and shrimp linguine which were both fabulous, attentive staff with live jazzy music made for a wonderful evening!

Happy about bread service. I’m from New Jersey family from Portugal and this doesn’t come close to authentic Portuguese food. Even the fact they don’t serve rice with your meal or salad. I must be spoiled all my life with Portuguese restaurants in Newark. I think it would be wise to revamp the menu try some real dishes from Portugal. Also if you love this place you don’t have a clue what you’re really missing.

A delightful gem in a tired strip mall. At first glance you consider reconsidering… then you walk into a blast from the past! A fabulous family establishment that offers complete excellence. The flavors, the quality, the friendliness is over the top. Service 5 stars, food 5 stars, ambiance 5 stars, service 5 stars, price 5 stars. Enjoy your new favorite dining experience!

Hidden Gem.look no further for Portuguese food this is the place to go. The Cataplana Alantejana and Polvo were absolutely scrumptious. Presentation and service was outstanding. Italian menu is also available. We will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Excellent service, friendly, and most importantly fantastic food! Has a wonderful old school feel that is difficult to find nowadays.

Amazing food with great live music. The music cycled through loud and fun performances and quieter calmer songs. It was a great balance for us who wanted to listen to music but still be able to talk. There is seating further away from the music if you don’t want it to be too loud either. Seemed really authentic as well.

Took my mother to dinner here tonight and we so enjoyed the authentic Portuguese cuisine from appetizer to dessert all was amazing so many flavors we will be return customers also my last name was on the wine list I got a kick out of that

Delicious I was looking for a good Portugues Restaurant so I found you guys! Thank u bolinho de bacalhau is so good, and the plate as well! I loved everything, friendly staff, I will come back!

My father recommended Amore. He made it sound too good to be true. But he was spot on. An intimate, classic old-school restaurant with phenomenal food. I trust you won't be disappointed.

This small “hole in the wall” restaurant in a strip center is AMAZING! OMGosh… We started with the Beef Woodpecker appetizer (enough for two) with a couple glasses of a very nice Chianti. Delicious. Hubby had Pappardelle Bolognese, and Chef substituted a side of pasta with my salmon piccata. The Vino Verde was perfect wine with the salmon. Finished with Pistachio Ricotta cake. Heavenly. Beautiful atmosphere, charming service, and possibly the best meal we've had in the last year. Family owned and operated, the Chef orchestrates the back of the house, his wife the front. Passionate cooking and a gracious, hospitable vibe! Truly authentic Italian and Portuguese cuisines. The live piano musician added to the Amore ambience. Well deserved full house. Bravo! Can't wait to go back.

We took a business group of 40 people to Amore for dinner. From the moment we connected, they were exceptional. They have a broad menu and the food was fabulous. That with an amazing wine list and exceptional service, my group who are from all over the country, absolutely loved it and was priced really well. Highly recommend!
