Ana M. Duarte, MD, FAAP, FAAD, Children’s Skin Center, Miami FL

I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. I took my 2 year old granddaughter to see Dr. Ana Duarte, as she suffered from severe eczema and I was desperate searching for a doctor that could dig deeper into her condition to improve it. Instead I was seen twice by her PA’s when I had specifically requested to have an appointment with her. Well, on the 2nd time, as I asked if I was going to see the doctor, after a while, she came in with 2-3 PA’s entering the room giving a statement that “All my PAs follow my directions here and do the same thing I do”. I hadn’t said anything otherwise, all I did was ask if I was going to see THE DOCTOR, after I had been seen by the PAs. SHE was extremely rude to me, my husband and my granddaughter (scared her with attitude, body and verbal language). She didn’t even wanted to touch her, nor discuss the subject with me. She said there was nothing to be done. Then I mentioned her PA, the day before, had mentioned something about a treatment with injections. She replied “Oh yes, but I will only discuss that with her mother, if you want make another appointment”… She didn’t let me speak at all, kept cutting me off. I wanted to bring up the Food/Nutrition effect on the disease and she dismissed me.
Modern up-to-date doctors know “food is medicine” or “causes/worsens diseases”, so they consider discussing the patient as a whole. In addition I have been reading there are so many resources to eczema. Her role would be to talk to us about the disease, EVEN IF ONLY to show us there was nothing else that could be done. My granddaughter had her full legs and arms, itching, inflamed, red, sometimes bleeding.

I want to thank the general team of Doctor Ana Duarte but especially Sofía de la Camara, and Ana Remedio, very loving, very attentive to the condition of my 5-year-old girl, all the staff very efficient. I recommend it, excellent service and follow-up.

Ledy Ochoa (PA) is the absolute best! She has been my daughter’s dermatologist since she was 3 months old (she will be 5 y/o soon) and she has done wonders for my daughter’s skin! Her eczema is clearing up as she grows. She has always given us sound advice and following her instructions has given us more clarity of what’s taking place. Thank you Ledy for becoming apart of our family!

Dr Duarte is hands-down, the best, most attentive, greatest dermatologist There is in South Florida. I’ve gone to a couple of them and have had really bad experiences but with her, she is very knowledgeable and took care of my infant, and knew what to do immediately. My daughter has hemangioma‘s in her throat, neck and lip and she was so attentive and caring. When my daughter was in the hospital for it, she came every single day, following my daughters progress. If anyone has a child with hemangioma, go to her. They know exactly what to do. She is definitely an angel that God is brought to us in our lives to help us through this rough situation at my daughter is going through. Her progress has gotten so much better and she is no longer in the hospital, no longer in pain, and her redness on her neck has faded so much. Thank you Dr Duarte for all that you do.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sofia de la cámara during my appointment. From the moment I walked in I felt very comfortable. Had a great experience in the office. I have been dealing with a problem for two years. I was misdiagnosed and have not seen much improvement with my passed recommendations. This time I got an answer in 5 days. My skin problem has improved greatly. I will continue to follow the proper steps provided and thanks to Sofia and the staff I hopefully will be clear of any issues in the near future.

I just want to say I've been with Leidy Ochoa PA for 2 years now and I will definitely not change her for no one she's been great with my daughter thank you for being so patient and taking good care of her.

Dr. Duarte is the best dermatologist I’ve seen. Even though I moved out of South Florida over 10 years ago, I continue to have my yearly checkups and procedures with Dr. Duarte and her team. She is a seasoned professional whom I trust with my health. I have a history of melanoma in the family and sun damage from growing up in Miami Beach and it is very important to me to get the best care and Dr. Duarte is it! Trust and confidence in a health care professional means everything. I feel safe when I walk into her office- safe in the knowledge that if something needs removing or checking she is going to spot it. Her P. A. ’s are excellent and up to her standards and all the staff are friendly and efficient.

My family and I have been going to Children's Skin Center since it opened almost 30 years ago. The reasons why we keep going back are the highly knowledgeable and empathetic doctors, a friendly and attentive staff and an efficient office. Dr Duarte has been able to correctly diagnose and successfully treat conditions of family members that prior doctors failed to. We have in the past and will continue to refer people to the practice. Thank you for the excellent service! It provides great comfort in knowing you have an amazing dermatology team dedicated to your care.

As a child I dealt with painful acne and went from dermatology to dermatology trying to find a solution. Once I chose to try this place I was assisted by Ledy Ochoa P. A. Within seconds she was able to give me a successful treatment for my skin and I am forever grateful, and to this day, she continues to treat me to the best of her abilities!

I just moved to South Florida and was referred to Dr. Duarte. I was very impressed with the office and her team. I had been living out of state for the last few years and seeing a dermatologist there. I had what I thought was a blemish or pimple on my cheek and thought nothing of it. Within 2 minutes of seeing me, Dr. Duarte zeroed in on it. She took a biopsy and the next day called with the results of basal cell carcinoma. I will be having it surgically removed but I shudder to think what could have happened had another doctor not spotted it. I felt at ease in her office and felt confident in her care. Her team and staff were friendly and professional from start to finish. I am very grateful to have been in her care.

I was seen by the Physician Assistant Katherine recently for two moles that I had on my skin. She did a tremendous job with the biopsies she explained the procedure very well and I barely felt a thing! She had great bedside manner and you can tell she really cares for her patients and is very knowledgeable about dermatology. I will be 100% be back because of my experience with Katherine! The front desk and staff and MA Andres were also all very nice and helpful! 10/10 highly recommend if you go to Children's Skin Center ask for Katherine!

I recommend Ledy Ochua 100%. She is extremely sweet, hears out your concerns, makes you feel comfortable, and explains what you should use and how to use it. I always have an amazing experience with Ledy. No matter what is going on with your skin she will help you improve.

Even though I had a bad experience with my daughter's visit for numerous reasons, I did receive a phone call from the Office Manager trying to make things right. I thought it was very professional and showed good work ethics. Will give it give another chance and benefit of the doubt.

The rudest doctor I have ever experienced with my one month old baby! We got very uncomfortable with my husband, she was very inpatient, annoyed to answer to our questions, very moody, very sharp, in a rush, horrible bedside manner.seemed to be very annoyed with our visit
I know she is very reputable in her field, but rude doctors for our newborn get out of our list.

Really very confused with the doctor, she is a very good doctor but terrible in her treatment not only to the patient but also to her employees, after so much waiting for her, she only enters 3 seconds, everything is done by the PA, the doctor must be very professional and give answers in the best possible way, she is annoyed by the questions, really very disappointed in her, to the point that we will not go anymore, however her team was wonderful, the doctor is a shame, she is so degradable, I do not recommend her at all but I wish her many blessings in your life.

10/10 experience! Going into the office, I was treated very nicely. I highly recommend the nurse practitioner Sofia. She was very patient and nice while explaining the process of accutane. I always recommend her to all my friends!

My appointment was at 11am. I waited an eternity and at 12: 50 I still hadn’t been seen by a provider.
It’s a complete lack of respect to make patients wait an absurd amount of time.
The appt was for myself. I’m so happy that it wasn’t for my kids bc I would have been even more annoyed if I was waiting with them.

I’ve seen Leidy Ochoa PA for over 4 years. When i first began seeing her, my acne was persistent. We began treatment and my acne disappeared. There are no scars and my skin has never been better. She always saw me with a smile and helped me throughout the whole process. I would not go to any other dermatologist!

Brought my kid in with a frown and left with a smile. Very professional and sweet staff. Would recommend 10/10
