Ancient way first came to my sons elementry school for a 2wk trial and he immediately was hooked. He'd come home wanting to show me his new moves and all that he's learned. He started taking classes at their dojo in September, they are attentive and really take the time to learn each child's personality, strength, and weaknesses and goals. The instructor are knowledgeable, kind, energetic, animated and great with the kids. They also teach teens and adults. The facility is well kept and clean. The students are respectful and are welcoming to newcomers. My 5yr was a bit intimidated when he started taking classes at the dojo and was reluctant to participate, the new environment and the larger groups and just being around new people was a bit much for him. The instructor were patient and worked with him 1: 1 in a corner untill he was ready to join the rest of the class. In a short 3wks his confidence has taken a full 360. He now shows up eager to join the class. Highly recommend this for anyone.

This is a great program, keeps my little guy busy. It challenges him while giving him a sense of accomplishment when get starts learning new things and loves to teach me his moves at home. I also love that he has a tool of self defense under his belt and gets better by the day! Thank you to all the instructors.:)

I’m a student, and honestly this has been a life changer. The teachers are nice and funny, and it’s fun to just do everything, the teachers know how to explain stuff so that you will understand. If any of you are thinking to learn martial arts but don’t know where the place where I most recommend it’s ancient ways. And that’s why I rate it five stars ️️️️️If I could I would do 40 stars. My son can’t wait for class days! This studio is well run with excellent communication. It’s easy to find class times that work in our busy family schedule. Instructors make classes fun while be patient and having solid expectations. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to attend.

We started with a promotion for 2 weeks of classes for our 3 and a half year old son. We signed up for 6 months of classes by the second or third time attending. Brooklyn is the most kind, patient, fun, and talented instructor! It is mind-blowing that all she has to say is "Attention! " And she gets 10 three/four year olds to stand still and pay attention!:) Our son begs all week long to go to class. He has learned so much discipline, confidence and respect just in the past 30 days. He says yes ma'am and yes sir and even teaches us about respect! We are so grateful to have found Ancient Ways. The entire staff is very welcoming, caring, and talented. We are so happy to be a part of this family for life!

Where do I begin? Grandmaster Brown runs this show and he has assembled an amazing crew of caring, capable and charismatic mentors who have not only totally bought in, but have spent their lifetimes learning and teaching the Ancient Ways. I have a 4yo in the Little Dragons program and the most excited he gets all week is when he has his classes. I’ll probably get some names and titles slightly wrong, but he loves Miss Nidan Jannel and Miss Brooklyn and these two decorated black belts have the attention that I sometimes can’t even get from my son myself. Here, my son learns respect, restraint and honor. We all know how little guys and girls can be sometimes, but Ancient Ways is a worthwhile supplement that enhances your child’s understanding of what to do, and when to do the right thing. An essential tool in the toolbox of life. Everyone here is a genuine pro and I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend Ancient Ways. Come in and watch a little. Meet Grandmaster Brown and his family. Meet his students who have grown and learned to become his trusted teachers. It’s more than classes, it’s a way of life - when you put your trust into people your kids spend their time with without your full attention, here is where you want them. If I could give them six+ stars I would.

Even though we've only been coming for a few months now, we feel and get treated like family. I love the atmosphere. They are so friendly, cool and make us feel so comfortable. I love that it's a non judgemental place. My girls enjoy it! They are the best! Definitely recommend to all group ages. I have zero complaints. I love everything they offer.

I cannot say enough about this school! Every staff member here has shown me patience and understanding as well as helping me understand how to train a body that's approaching 60. After seeing how the students love and respect Grandmaster Brown and his staff, as well as the respect he and his staff show everyone, I have decided that this school will be the place I always go to and have accepted a Legacy membership. There is no need for me to go anywhere else.

I had moved to Bradenton with my partner, and he had been so stressed and needed a place to help. Finding this place we sat and planned that it was worth the money and the time to get back into martial arts. The place has become a home, amazing friends and place to be. I had watched my partner become much more, I forever will be thankful to this place. Because I wanted a place for us to be safe, to be loved. This place welcomes everyone, no matter.

To anyone leaving negative reviews hasn’t really seen this place for what it has been. This is truly a dojo worthy of striving happiness.

Great weapons class the other night. It is fun getting back into martial Arts after many decades. Just do it and have fun is my thought before each class.

Instructors are nice and friendly. Staffs take care of all my questions. Classmates are actively caring about each other and helping each other. I recommend the Ancient Ways Martial Arts Academy to who is interested in learning martial arts and seeking additional friendship.
