Andrea's Family Restaurant reviews
18Visited for the 1st time, purchased 3 Gyros with fries to take out, was not satisfied. The meat did not taste fresh and was mushy, food was not hot, will not purchase again and do not recommend Gyro.
First Time visit. Good coffee. Friendly and attentive staff. I had a good breakfast here at Andrea's, but it has a lot of competition. Winter Haven has no shortage of good breakfast joints, aside from First Watch, Denny's, IHOP, and the fast food places. Stacked up against the locals, Egg Haven, 1st Street Diner, Southeast Eatery, and Big Tom's Diner, Andrea's would be in 5th place. Still tasty but the others do a better job.
This has been a favorite place of mine since I moved here many years ago. Always something for everyone on the menu.
Great biscuits gravy and ham and cheese omelet hash browns with grill onions nice and crispy biscuits gravy little salty
I drive over 50 miles both ways to get there lamb shanks. Great Thanksgiving meal. Family owned and operated. Try it.
Great food, prices reasonable. Have had take out several times, never disappointed. Busy all the time. Would definitely recommend.
Large meals for the prices, extensive menu selections, outstanding service, what else is there to say. We come here about once a month, and it is still one of our favorites.
The food was great, the prices were about for the amount of food. The service was very knowledgeable, and friendly the hostess was ok, she could have smiled and welcomed us a little better. The restaurant was fairly clean as the Bus boy was on point with his job. The restaurant could use a little updating as the ceiling tiles were dirty.
I had the grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce, carrot souffle and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was delicious!
This is a Greek restaurant in my neighborhood. I decided to give them a try. I am upset I haven't been going there all along. It is a little gem. The food is good and the staff is inviting.
I applied for a job here. They called me to work telling me I was hired. I went to work on the day they scheduled me to work. Half way through my shift they paid me for the time I worked and said they would call me to let me know if I was hired. I told them I thought I was hired that's what I was told over the phone. They said they wanted someone with more experience. I'll NEVER work or dine there. AND I'll NEVER recommend anyone to eat there. I don't even know how they are allowed to keep the place open after I got a tour of the kitchen. YUCK.
Stopped in here as it's my Gran's favorite place in all of Winterhaven. The staff is really friendly and the food is good. Everything appears to be home made, which is a drawing point for me, and the carrot soufflé is amazing. So much so that I bought 7 sides to stock up my grans freezer before I left. I had the country fried steak and it was perfect. Looking forward to going back to try other dishes
Had to bring it from 5 stars to 1 star because of their new "practices". They are greedy, the food sucks now, and the service is poor.
With a large menu selection, everyone will find something they like. And the food is tasty and plentiful at a reasonable price. Service was friendly and attentive, our glasses never ran dry. The place was busy but not crowded and it was easy to converse. Well worth return visits in the future. One last thing, even if you hate carrots, try the carrot souffle, it could have been a dessert!
Today we sat over an hour and never got our food. The server came, took our order, brought our drinks, and then an hour later, after seeing several people get there food in around 15 minutes, we left. I paid for our drinks, and explained to the girl at the counter what happened, she didn't even offer my drinks for free. Horrible experience. To top it off, it was really hot in there.
Both times my wife and I have been, I have gotten the trip to Greece. Comes with stuffed grape leaves, 2 pcs of spinach pie, pita bread, gyro meat, 4 olives and peppercinis. Everything is amazing! Got the chicken kebab this time for the appetizer and it was flavored wonderfully. My wife gets her tried and true country fried steak. The fries remind me of a crunchier 5 guys fries. We could just order fries and eat them. Overall, this is a very good eatery. The decor could be updated but it adds to its charm. Very good will be going back
Waitress was not friendly, waited 15 minutes and had to flag down a waitress for service, other folks who arrived after us got served 1st, I won't be eating here anytime soon.
