I took my son yesterday to this location. One of the PA’s evaluated my son. She was rude, condescending, and with no bedside manners at all. She came to the room and had no clue the reason for my son’s visit. She did not even checked the test results prior to coming to the room. She did not listen to my concerns and when I told her that she was not listening she rolled her eyes, took a deep breath, and walked away. She left me in the room with the words in my mouth. Horrible experience no coming back to this practice.

With the exception of one provider who only had a short stint with the practice, I haven’t had any provider issues at the practice. They were usually all very nice and helpful w.r. T any issues with my little one. What I have had issues with though, are communication mostly with non-provider staff as well as billing. In a 2019 visit, I had a bill show up which did not make sense. When I called the billing department, the description of why I had the charge did not match the sequence of events that actually happened. Their description resulted in the visit being coded/billed out at a higher level than what was reasonable. An adjustment to the amount due was subsequently made. In my most recent experience a few months ago, there was quite a bit of miscommunication and I also received a bill after the visit that did not make sense (again). To preface this, a relative and a co-worker with the same exact coverage levels through work, had to go in to their providers a few weeks prior for the same scenario and they did not have bills. When I called the insurance company after getting a bill, they advised it was due to the way it was “coded” & while my provider is well within their right to “charge for calling me to advise of a test result”, the providers used by my sister and co-worker likely handled the similar situation differently which is why there was no associated bill for them. I am all for ensuring that providers are compensated for their years of schooling and the liabilities involved in their roles; however these experiences have left me feeling like me & my little one are just $ signs. In this latter one, the communication regarding what was happening in the moment or going to happen was non-existent which makes it even more intolerable for me. In any event, my unpopular opinion is this “Just because you have the ability to charge for something, doesn’t mean you should”; especially when there are clearly other caregivers out there that choose differently. We ultimately decided it is in our best interest to move to a different practice. On that note, we cannot wholeheartedly recommend Angel Kids. If you do decide to go with them, we would just advise that you carefully review your bills and ensure that there are clear lines of communication regarding every interaction with the practice.

Every single month it's like pulling teeth to get my son's prescriptions refilled. They've even called in the wrong prescription to the wrong pharmacy before. Even as I type this, they didn't call in a refill on his 2 required daily medications because "I'm overdue for a follow up appointment. "

I was never informed that I needed to make a follow up appointment. It was never scheduled. No one ever reached out to me to schedule it. When I asked why, I was told "you're his father and that's your responsibility to keep up with that. " Stay away from this place.

The doctor was amazing! (I don't remember his name ‍️) He was so good with my 5 year old daughter and was SUPER accommodating to us. The office is beautifully painted, and there are 2 waiting rooms. One for sick and one for not, which is smart. Overall 10/10 this is the best location. We've been to Beach Blvd, Ponte Vedra Beach, and I think Atlantic? Not sure. But this one is the best! Your child will definitely be well taken care of and they are all so friendly and polite to answer any questions or getting any documentation.

We’ve been a patient with Angel Kids at the Bartram office for over 10 years. My son who is Autistic recently turned 18 years old. When I called in to try and schedule his yearly physical and I was planning to speak to the doctor at that time about the process of changing to a family doctor I was told on the phone “Sorry, your son is 18 we can’t help you anymore you need to find a new doctor. ” No notice, no conversation, nothing.just we are done with you and goodbye.
Even after I received communication from the office stating that it was time to schedule my sons well visit appointment and speaking to them on the phone 24 hours prior to this requesting a refill be called in to the pharmacy and no one said anything at that point.
So then I requested to speak to the Bartram office manager and After speaking with Danielle the office manager she told me that they (Angel Kids) will continue seeing children after age 18 if they have private insurance but because we are Medicaid they stop at age 18.
I was in shock, dumbfounded, and fuming over not only the lack of courtesy after years of loyalty but also the fact that they treat Medicaid children one way and private insurance kids another way!? !
Who knew discrimination would reach all the way to doctors offices.
I would absolutely avoid this practice if you can!

Worst "doctor. " Do NOT recommend. If your child is fearful of doctor visits, please, please take your child somewhere else, find a different doctor. DO NOT go to Paul Leadem. No compassion at all for my child. Disrespectful as well. Will be looking for a new pediatrician. The only positive was the staff, they were good and friendly.

Pediatrician was not great with communication to staff about my child's needs. Waited a whole week for a call from a specialist that I was told would call me. NEVER received a call.then when I called to follow up on the referral was told I was supposed to call and schedule the appointment. SMH! Long story.short.the communication sucks within this network! Not pleased at all! Would not recommend them!

Update: Now they want use to pay $35 for a visit that didn't happen- because they handed us the note and said we were all set. UNETHICAL!

Do NOT go to Angel Kids Pediatrics. I don’t know what is up with their management. I needed doctors note to send my daughter back to the daycare since she had been fever free for 24 hours. I stayed on hold for 55 min on Sunday to talk to someone and finally hung up. This number was actually to get appointment, which means if you needed appointment for your child on Sunday, be ready to stay on hold for an hour!
Monday morning we called at 9 and they told us that someone will call back regarding scheduling telehealth visit first. When nobody called till 4, we called to find out that there were no telehealth appointments left for the day. So we had to drive from St. John’s to beaches and Hodges location for a 6.30 appointment. The doctor did not even see us and handed us the note. Why not just give it at a location that is near to us? Or even better, email the note!
So done with them (and when I told the operator that I was done with their practice, he said no problem!)

This place is a joke! Unsanitary, MA’s are dressed in filthy scrubs, and look very unprofessional.
Pediatricians, Dr. Leadem in particular is careless, looking for a new clinic immediately!

Been here for an hour and a half now, still haven't seen a doctor for my child's medical issue. They have plenty of staff walking around but nobody is helping us. I'll be switching pediatricians soon.

Standing in front of the closed door for 40 mins now. The official site says they are supposed to be open. No one is answering the phone, on hold for the last 15 mins. It is like a joke.

Back in 2013 & 2014 this was a good place. Not so much anymore. They make quite a few mistakes, and they aren’t too friendly any more. Today my daughter got a nail stuck in her foot. I rushed over, and they wouldn’t see her as a walk-in due to COVID. I don’t see a connection between COVID and walk-in appointments. They told me to go to urgent care. They didn’t know where any were to direct me to nor did they offer any assistance in locating one. They weren’t too friendly. I found an urgent care clinic, and the doctor there also didn’t understand why they would send me to urgent care and was visibly irritated that Angel Kids hadn’t taken care if it. X rays weren’t needed as the nail was already out. The doctor cleaned it, and offered a band aid. I got stuck paying twice the amount due to it being an urgent care clinic. This was the last straw for me. I’m finding a new office.

So I wasn't going to leave a review but after reading all the negitive comments I decided I would because Ive always gotten the best service I could ask for. After the office I was going to closed I was scared to pick a different one because i have been to a bad doctor where they are not friendly and very dismissive. Ive always had great service here. I mean even the time when I made an appointment and it showed for a differnt day they didnt say sorry we cant see you today come back tomorrow. They fit me in and with good timing. Everyone is busy sometimes but the staff has always been nice when ever i make an appointment they try to fit me in at a time that fits my schedule.

Alexus from Registration for New Patient was very helpful with getting my son the soonest appointment available. I am grateful for all of her help and look forward to this new medical relationship for my son with Angel Pediatrics.

Absolutey the worst experience ever with a doctor she was so rude and no compassion for my child. I am switching doctors immediately, I would never take my kids there again. Please don’t even bother with these people. They don’t care about kids.

Horrible service. Dr Paul Leadem popped his lips & rolled his eyes like a Northside Chick when asked to look at my infant son's ear. Gave attitude to my wife like he was missing an important golf game. No respect or compassion whatsoever.
