Animal & Bird Hospital of Clearwater

I own a bird that has been a patient of this vet for more than two years. He needs his wings clipped for his safety since he can now fly again. Animal and Bird Hospital refused to cut his wings unless I paid a $75 exam fee even if I didn’t wish it or couldn’t afford it. I have been unemployed for six months and cannot afford a total $150 fee. They refused to make an exception or to offer any temporary discount. Result - one upset and lost customer. Shame! It is the animal that suffers, and the vet who doesn’t care.

I saw your answer. You DID not offer ANY alternative other than to suggest I go somewhere else. How wonderful it was to discover that a bird shop in Oldsmar Flea Market will do the ‘exam’ for free when trimming the wings. Again, shame on you for pretending you did more than tell me to go somewhere else.

Dr Murphy and her great team are always fantastic! I have some crazy large exotic parrots and they do an amazing job every time! They are also great with dogs and other animals, but I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my birds!

I boarded my 2 little chihuahuas here last May and when I picked them up they had flees and my teacup chihuahua had feces under her nails from being kept in a cage for days and not bathed! I would not recommend this place to anyone that truly cares about there fur babies

My dog Cairo has been going to them for a while now as well as he goes once a week to daycare located at the pet resort behind. They are both incredible and extremely attentive to him. They make you feel like family and since my furbaby is my family, that makes a big difference. Their follow up is excellent and they are just so professional but also personable. We will never go anywhere else!

My green cheek conure has been coming here for about 2 years. They do a fantastic job with nail and wing clippings. When his ankle band got stuck up on his leg, I called in a panic and when I came in they immediately had someone come out and slip it back down for us. They've always been good to him, staff is lovely sweet friendly and compassionate. Very fair prices as well.

Love all of the staff here. I have recently moved pretty far away and still think its worth traveling to get my pets the right care from the right people. Thank you to everyone at animal and bird hospital, you can tell they genuinely care

My Chihuahua and I absolutely love Animal and Bird Hospital of Clearwater and the ABHC Pet Resort And they just adore my little chichi, Ginger, in return! They are so good to her! Both the vet and the pet resort take such good care of her! I have used all of their services.
And today they went above and beyond! I was picking up Ginger from dental surgery at the vet and I put her in the car and locked the door as I closed it. Then I noticed my keys were in the car. I tried calling AAA and locksmiths and no one could get there in less than an hour. The Vet Tech who had taken care of her brought out an umbrella to me to shade her through the window and he called the Shell service station nearby and got them to come over and open the door much quicker than anyone else could! Then the vet tech took Ginger inside and took her temperature and helped cool her down. And he was very nice and understanding the whole time!
I would highly recommend this place!

These people care about pets big time! Their lazor treatment is so cool, and the tech who does it is wonderful. Brought my clients elderly dog here for an emergency situation, and they took him straight back with no appointment. They knew him well, and he adored them! They adjusted his meds and gave me some pointers, and did his lazor therapy while feeding him treats! Absolutely wonderful place!

Brought my two fur babies today for the first time. I cannot recommend this vet's office enough.
Every person there was fantastic! Friendly, clean, and professional. So, so happy I found them. Truly a gem!

Easy exam shots etc. Received a detailed message from the Vet explaining my 16 year olds conditions. Been trusting this team for sixteen (16) years. Friendly staff.
