Animal Doctors of South Tampa

I trust this clinic since 2020 when I arrived to Tampa, will not change it for another one. I prefer this clinic because you dont have to make an appointment to be attended. You go any time before 3: 30pm, and thats peaceful knowing that you don’t have to rush.

We lost 2 pets in a week & the care Dr. Howes, her tech & Chelsea showed to us was so welcome for such a heartbreaking time.

I took my new kitten to get neutered, and I’m extremely impressed with the quality of care and love they gave Odin. He’s literally already purring and playing like normal as soon as he got home. All the staff were super friendly, and shoutout to Dr. Putnam. She’s the GOAT

I would not trust my dog with any other facility, the staff is friendly and the providers are amazing. My dog has been seeing Dr. Putnam since he was 4 months old, she is the best.

We absolutely love Animal Doctors of South Tampa! Everyone has always treated our babies with love and the proper care. We have always been able to get in when needed and our pups love going there! Our baby Nova patiently waiting to be called back!

The vets and staff at South Tampa Animal Doctors are great! They are friendly and professional. The care with which they treat my pets is excellent and thorough. Their prices are reasonable and there is no upcharging as I have experienced at other places. Sometimes the wait to see a vet is long (30-45 minutes) because they don’t take appointments but it’s worth it.

We had a great experience with Dr Howes & her staff. She diagnosed Max & started treatment right away & thanks to her Max is doing great! Highly recommend Dr Howes and the staff, they are all very professional & they really care about animals!

I’m from MA. In town for a family visit. Purchased a puppy and used this Vet at the suggestion of family and friends. The service was excellent. From the initial call, the intake, triage and exam. There was just straight forward, high quality pet care. No upselling or trying to talk me into unnecessary services. Highly recommend.

We have been taking our dog to Animal Doctors of South Tampa for years and they always do a great job. Recently we adopted a senior rescue who started having major issues. I brought her into Animal Doctors and they worked with us nonstop to figure out what was wrong with our dog and to get her healthy again. We cannot thank Animal doctors enough for their service, knowledge and care for the animals they treat.

Animal Doctors is a wonderful place to take your pet. I have seen many of the doctors in this practice. The doctors and staff are caring, patient, and knowledgeable. Dr. Putnam especially helped my family and I through a tough time. She is so genuine and thoughtful. Their prices are also much lower than the other vets in the area. I won’t take my pet anywhere else.

So far everyone has been very pleasant. They seemed to have new front desk ladies who are very pleasant. The ones before were so rude. The vets are very through in explaining things and there is no pressure on things that are not medically necessary. I got my dog on heart worm prevention and didn’t know there was a vaccine available which was truly the best option for my babes.they are kind and my chihuahua doesn’t give them a hard time so I know he is handled with care. We go here for nail trims and vaccines and have yet to have a bad experience. Trusting your vets is so important.

The Animal Doctors of South Tampa has been such a breathe of fresh air with a happy & helpful team from end to end. Dr. Putnam really breaks everything down to be understandable and works within your budget to do to help make being a new pet parent or old pet parent manageable & healthy. I am so thankful for the professionalism & knowledge of the Animal Doctors of South Tampa and always so thankful to have my nerves put at ease.

These people saved my dog from going blind! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for Animal Doctors. I came in with my 6-month-old English Bulldog freaking out as both of his eyes had a blueish tint. Lots of discharge and swollen to the point he could barely see. I was afraid that he was losing his eyesight. AD being the professionals that they are they remained calmed and assured me things would be okay. Gave me the proper meds and sent me on my way. The consultation was quick and 3 days later hes eyes are perfectly clear. THANK YOU!

Really reasonable prices, and the vets provide excellent care. We are really impressed with Animal Doctors of South Tampa. The vets here have paid close attention to our animals and met all their needs, which wasn’t true for the first couple of vet clinics we visited when we moved to Tampa in 2022. We love Animal Doctors and they have become our vet of choice throughout Tampa Bay. Dr. Putnam helped us during a very difficult time, when our sweet Sandy was diagnosed with cancer. We will continue to use Animal Doctors for all our veterinary needs because of the compassion, care, and attention to detail their staff and vets consistently exhibit.

Dr. Mallory Howes is the best! She’s provided my dog with exceptional care and lots of love on more than one occasion. We wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Outstanding vet!
