Wow! I have worked in a busy trauma center and let me tell you, this team was super busy with extreme emergencies and they handled everything perfectly! I was in awe of how they held it together, while dealing with death and trauma at the same time with multiple patients. This staff went above and beyond, kept their composure, and ended up delivering a puppy for me. The puppy is named after my vet tech and the doctor. Britney Stone. Thank you all!

Very happy with Callie's emergency treatment. Callie is a very large 4 year old female German Shepherd that is very aggressive with strangers and other dogs! This was our first time here. Callie had a piece of a stick stuck in the back of her throat. The vet Dr Stone handled Callie very well, sedated her, took the stick out roof of her mouth, and woke her up. Total visit time 1 1/2 hrs. I would give them more Stars! Very professional!

Brought my pup Cricket in last night for rattlesnake bite finding out that she was bitten twice…. Dr.and staff acted quickly but the venom was too much for my fur baby. The only way to ease her pain was to say goodbye. The Dr.and staff showed unbelievable compassion and kindness. Goodbye Cricket I’ll love you forever!

Our senior “Harley” is nearing 15 years old. He had many concerns appear suddenly and we had to take him to Animal Emergency because our vet could not see him. We were prepared for the worst. The Dr saw him, and provided a fair evaluation. The Dr gave our baby great care, and did blood work on the spot. Harley will be with us a lot longer. ALL of the staff were exceptional in every way! Thank you to Animal Emergency

Dr. Stone and the staff members were very kind towards me and my pet. We arrived due to a few concerns I had with my pet and I waited about two hours to be seen. Not unheard of for a weekend ER vet visit. They were very understaffed but you could tell the ladies there did everything they could to be efficient and have everyone seen as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, my dog had to be euthanized but everyone was so kind and apologetic about the prognosis. Dr. Stone took the time to explain my options with me and explained fairly thoroughly what were the issues which led her to take a turn for the worst.

Even though the only treatment my dog received was euthanasia, I found their prices to be very reasonable taking into consideration they are an emergency vet.

I hope I never have to go back to their hospital but will return with my other pets if one day needed.

This ER vet hospital is fantastic! We moved here last fall & I had tried another vet hospital I wasnt thrilled with so when my lil Yorkie became lethargic one day I called several vet hospitals. None of them could see him that day but one recommended the Hernando Co ER. We were there at 5 pm when they opened; the vet was very observing & recommended bloodwork. Results indicated thrombocytopenia as his
Platelets were at a dangerous level. She started him on steroids & each subsequent blood check has indicated his condition is improving. There is a steady flow of pets & their owners that come in for care, but everyone gets seen & treated & if your pet has a real emergency (like a seizure or bleeding or breathing problems, etc.) that pet is seen immediately. All the vets, techs & office staff are incredibly knowledgeable & caring. I so appreciate their dedication & availability & feel we are very fortunate to have such a great facility & staff available when the reg vets are closed! Thank you so much!

We had to rush our cat here because she had something stuck in the back of her mouth/throat. They took her right back and attended to her. She was back out to us within minutes. The staff was amazing. We are so grateful for their help, kindness, and professionalism.

Although our visit was not a complete emergency. We just were unable to get with our regular vet and wanted a second opinion on blood work for peace of mind Dr.stone and her staff were great with my cat Coco.they did not try to upsell anything unnecessary.they seem to be very busy and with only one person behind the desk her name was Kristin multitasking like crazy. Overall, our visit was very good.

I'm sure they're busy, and they see a lot of things. But I don't like this place, and I don't like the doctor. I've been here three times.

The first time, the doctor was cold, rushed, and barely did a thing for my friend's dog for her comfort, or to see if she was in real danger. The staff were too concerned with laying out our bill to notice the dog having a seizure. She died that night.

The next time wasn't as bad. Our dog had pancreatitis, they took care of him and when I picked him up he was better, and happy. I wasn't there when my wife brought him, so I don't know what experience she had.

Finally, today. Brought my cat in, she was pretty sick. Same doctor as with my friend's dog. Still cold, rushed, and almost judgmental with her tone. The nurses were far gentler. My cat needed to be put down, because she was very sick, and almost certainly in pain, and treating her would only have delayed her dying. So whilst the nurses were kind, the doctor came in and got right to work with my cat, she'd only been back with me for a moment. I wish I just had a moment longer with her, while she was standing and alive, but I was so upset, I couldn't ask for it.

This place can be busy. They must experience so many different cases, but I abhor the doctor I've seen there for her manner, and I wish I didn't have to go there for my pets. But they're available.for emergencies, they work when nobody else is an option.

Today is Easter! Unfortunately all my "kids" always seem to pick holidays or weekends to get sick. I'm snowbirding, didn't have vet here, so was grateful to find this office. They were very busy, but I thought my wait time was extremely reasonable. Dr. Stone was on duty today, and I was very comfortable with her diagnosis, treatment plan, etc. She didn't rush us, and answered all of my questions. My tech was also great, and I apologize I didn't get her name. I bombarded her with lots of questions as well, and she was also very patient and informative. I have excellent vets back in Colorado, so I'm rather picky when I have to go somewhere new. But I think the whole visit went well and we were in good hands.

While sitting in the waiting room, waiting to be called with my dog for an emergency. A lady comes in who needs help with her dog. Immediately they take the table and a blanket out and get the dog. They bring it in. Two ladies DROP him on the scale try to weigh him then pick him back up and put them on the table. They disappear in the back with the dogs for about three minutes. The family is crying in the waiting room full of people. The tech comes out and says he’s dying. His temp is no good we can do CPR what is this a Mountain an hour and we need an answer. My jaw dropped. The most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen inside of a veterinarian office. The lady didn’t know what to do. They said they need an answer. She said let him go while her kids are hugging and crying. Another tech walks in and says leave them they don’t want us to do it. Then walks away. How this place is even operational is beyond me. This was on March 31 at about 6: 00 PM. Absolutely disgusting.

Nothing against Doc Stone, but to the staff. I have rushed my dog there to induce vomiting due to him getting into the cat food. He has had pancreatic inflammation before due to this happening before. The person that came to the door (I'd assume a vet-tech) and I explained the situation. This was at appropriately 0700 hours, I told her that he ate 2 to 3 cups about a half an hour prior. She stated that it's already in his system and "we are about to close. " Also, "Just take him to your normal Vet. " I am sitting here watching my dog getting sicker, waiting to get a hold of my regular Veterinarian. Again, nothing against Doc Stone. She advised to my wife over the phone, "Well the dog didn't appear to be in distress. " More like it is getting close to closing and this is just an inconvenience. I am beyond upset and disappointed with this situation. My dog is going to be extremely sick and could loose his life because of being an inconvenience.

This place has always been there when I needed for my animals I know it's hard having to put an animal down but they all had compassion for our animals and us. Thanks for everything you all do I am very greatful for yesterday visit and giving us the hard truth and helping us.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that at any time this place could have just one single doctor working there and as a result, the waiting room is packed (with a lot of people even waiting in the parking lot because it’s so overflowed) with people wanting to get urgent care for their pets, but instead they have to wait 2 hours or more to be seen. There is very little sense of actual urgency here. Might as well take a longer drive and go to the next nearest emergency vet.

My kitty Simon has had a few hospital stays in the past! He had some chronic issues. Dr. Stone has always been very clear and concise on what needs to be done. My boys level of treatment has always been up to my satisfaction level. I took my sweet Simon yesterday with all his recent records for her see and hospitalize him again to get better. Dr. Stone is the first vet I have ever dealt with that was openly honest and told me what I DIDNT WANT TO HEAR. Dr. Stone told me if there was something she could do she WOULD IN A HEART BEAT but his labs from his regular vet done on Thursday show we hit the end. Nothing more I could do. I asked can we still run new labs to see if any improvement from Thursday and she said sure we can but the labs will be worse. Dr. Stone cared so much for my Simon and realized I was searching for something at any cost to save him. She’s an awesome vet looking out for our pets, she spoke with me about his kidney disease and why the iv fluids and subQ fluids were no longer working.she helped him pass with dignity and she was honest with me so this morning I’m not blaming myself, I’m not going thru all the coulda should have would haves this morning.

Dr.stone is a great vet and a great therapist for the pet parent who can’t let go. I will always cherish her words of honesty.
