Two of the medications that you prescribed gave my dog bad reaction! The eye was not swollen before coming to your clinic and after giving what your Vet in Fort Lauderdale prescribed, it is! It Gets better if I stop using it… so I had to gave them up!
I tried to go to Miami Gardens to return the meds next day, but nothing was done. Although the nurse Olga was compassionate and great (took her time to go all over again with the treatment plan and tried to help me), my dog is not doing good with the some of the medications: the gel for dry eye (that I left in the office by the way) and Vetrix (the Vet prescribed it without even letting me know how to mix the formula, as it is complex and different from the others drops).
I expected more accountability and care from Animal Eye Guys! How I cannot have reimbursement of a medication that I use two drops, and gave my baby such a hard time with bad reaction? !
I spent almost $500 in ONE consultation and would return for check up.but how I can come back after that? I will consider changing to another clinic and I will suggest to others here to do the same!

Dr. Diaz is amazing. His puppy hanging out at the office is just extra whipped cream on top.

I love Aninal Eye Guys and all they have done to help each and every baby I've brought in

I took my dog Frank in to see Dr. Proietto yesterday for a corneal ulcer. The office was so inviting as well as the people in it. After Dr. Proietto examined him, she sat down with me to explain a few changes in medications and was so detailed in her explanations. Fantastic service and I couldn't be more appreciative. Frank says thanks too!

Excellent care and communication from very compassionate staff here. I love that they send you home with their clinical note from the visit explaining in detail everything they evaluated and the natural course of the disease your pet is dealing with. They even sent us the kindest condolences card after learning that our dog passed away- and we had only seen them twice!

Awful experience from the 1st visit. Cold & unwelcoming. The only pleasent person is the receptionist. Dr & tech are nasty.

I will make this short. I have visit here 4 times for same eye problem. They charge 180-300$ and it last only two months then go back lol. I told them to take responsibility they do not. I am going after them. They want your money only. Manager never contacted me they don't care my dog is suffering only $$$ Evil people. They may say they will help in reviews but false never help my dog

My dog Sophie has been a long time client of Dr. Proietto and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her and the entire Animal Eye Guys staff! I was inspired to finally write this review after and recent incident where Sophie’s eye started swelling out of no where. I called and right away spoke with someone from their phone staff who was extremely kind and empathetic in regard to my concerns. She was able to get me an appointment with Dr. Proietto right away. What I love about Dr. Proietto is how thorough she is with her examinations. She always takes the time needed to clearly discuss her findings and recommendations for treatments. I never feel as though I’m being rushed out or brushed off, even when I can tell they are very busy and my appointment was last minute. Her kind and soft spoken demeanor has such a positive effect on both me and my dog which makes a world of difference when you have an anxious pet (or owner!). She is very knowledgeable and educated in her field and amazing at what she does. Needless to say, Sophie was doing much better within hours of our visit! The entire staff are friendly, welcoming, accommodating and experts at what they do. I have recommended them to numerous people and will continue to do so as I feel they are the pinnacle of specialty pet care in the area!

My dog Lucy was being treated for a few months by Dr. Proietto for a bad ocular ulcer. She was on medication and we pleased with Dr. Proietto's care and treatment plan. Unfortunately on Wednesday 6/7/22 in the evening, Lucy must had hit her eye and she clearly damaged her eye further and was in significant pain. We took her to a 24/7 Animal ER, but they did not have an animal eye doctor and they gave us pain meds and told us to have her see her eye doctor ASAP. That evening we called and left a message about what happened and to call as soon as possible. The next day 6/8/22, we called at 8am when the office opens. We were on hold for an HOUR and no one answered the phone. So we left an urgent message to please call. Both myself and daughter called ALL locations to speak to someone. Again, no one answered and no one returned our calls. We continued to leave several voicemails to please all. We could not believe that no one was answering the phones or responding to our messages, and we along with our poor dog were in severe distress (Lucy physically and us emotionally). We had to call other animal eye centers to help us and we finally were able to see an amazing animal medical facility in Deerfield Beach. They were able to see us immediately and the staff, doctors and nurses were so caring and professional. Lucy did need to have here eye removed and the surgery was on the same day. She is home now recovering and seems to be not in pain, eating and navigating around the house and backyard well. I cannot stress how upset and angry I am with the staff (not Dr. Proietto) Animal Eye Guys lack of response to their patient. And this being 7/8/22 can you believe that STILL nobody from the office has called us back! How is this possible? How do they have so many positive reviews? What happened? Who is responsible to call patients back? All locations no responses! Obliviously, we are never going back and are so happy to have found such a superior animal eye facility. I would suggest that the Owner and/or Office Manager do a root cause analysis to find out were and how you failed to care for a patient in urgent need for treatment. This is shameful and should never happen to another of your patient's.

In Disgust,
Stuart Gold, PsyD, PhD.

Finally someone can help my dog with his eye problems sufficiently. He has done nothing but improve since day two of having been seen and prescribe medication from the Animal Eye guys! I am definitely a very happy camper and so is my dog. Thank you all for your time and dedication to animals!?

My dog has cataracts in both eyes. One eye is advanced and the other still is tiny. In the beginning, my dog was ok. They prescribed me medication for maintenance. He was seen by 2 doctors. Dr Proietto was the last one; she was awful. Over the time, things went from bad to worse and this lady didn’t know what it was. She sent me to his primary vet blaming it as being something else. I listened and took him to his vet. He said it has to be something with his eyes. While that time, he got completely blind. Thank God I decided to change his eye doctor also his vet agreed, right away after so many visit’s to this woman with no results. I took Bruno to Dr Buss from Vet Eye Institute, he cured my baby in one visit. If I waited any longer he could have lost his eyes. I do not recommend this place to anyone! Especially Dr Proietto, she doesn’t know what she is doing. You can see in the pictures before and after changing doctors. Do not go to this place!

They were able to get us an appointment on such short notice, for two dogs. Staff is nice and friendly. The eye appointment was quick and doctor was professional, knowledgeable and straight to the point. Doggies come back in two weeks for surgery and they were able to accommodate that as well.

Prices are fair given the acuity my dogs needed

I took my foster dog here and was so happy with the experience. She is scared of everyone so I was nervous she wouldn't let them examine her but they were amazing. They made sure I understood everything there was to know about her diagnosis. Highly recommend them!

We originally started at another eye clinic in Deerfield beach that charged us lots of money for no reason to do 3 debrivments and still the ulcer remained after they told us it was going away after 2k was spent.

So we talk to Ginger at aeg after a visit there more and more money spent but no better news just want to go to surgery, these vets don’t want to help the dog! Unless you keep paying and paying, and have no hardship or finance plan … Sry not for me! Thanks for nothing

My girl got swollen eyelids and 3rd eyelid was showing. Took her in to the vet thinking she might have Pannus being she just turned 10 yrs old. They gave her a through eye exam and everything was good. She was just having a bad reaction to the environmental allergies from playing outside. Day of vet appointment without medication's and the next day with medication. Thanks for taking care of her Dr. Keenan. Snickerdoodle is back to her playful self again and her eye looks good.

My dog Daisy had a tumor in her eye, that rendered her blind in that eye It was unknown whether it was cancerous or not. It was recommended by the Vet at Animal Eye Guys that she have the eye removed to prevent any further problems or discomfort. The doctor and staff were very caring and knowledgeable and gave me very clear instructions for her before and after care. The surgery was a success and Daisy is like a new dog! Thank you Animal Eye Guys.

Everyone from the moment you walk in makes you feel like your pet is a top priority. They are just wonderful and helped us through a tough time as we were getting our fur baby back to good health. I can't imagine having gone anywhere else.
