Gym Anytime Fitness reviews
6I am a competing power lifter and was staying with family on vacation. I was just using this gym as a vacation gym and was extremely disappointed by the poor quality of the equipment I benched here and the benches were awful and the cushions were cracked and gross. I also attempted to get a deadlift session in but was abruptly interrupted by the manager for “slamming weights” I was dead lifting 315 for 5 reps while my max is 455 so there was no slamming happening then when I asked the manager if there was a solution she told me that if I can’t control the weight I shouldn’t be doing it which is not how deadlifts work for those who don’t understand I had to go grab yoga mats and put them underneath the weight and control the weight on the way down which increases risk of injury which is already high at a heavy weight. So I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone who is actually looking to get a workout in. OH YEAH did I mention the gym is 50 percent cardio equipment when at peak hours I’ve only seen 3 people using said cardio equipment. I’ve attached a photo of the contraption I had to set up. Have a great day
Ok gym, good staff, but equipment is the same that has been here for 8 or so years, and the owner won’t talk to you, unless he has a problem
Great experience. In town visiting and manager Kendra was outstanding. They had all the equipment I needed. Clean and organized facility.
I herniated 2 disc's at work shortly after joining this gym and was told I shouldn't lift anything over 50lbs due to my injury. I went to speak with someone about ending my membership and was told I'd have to pay out the remainder of my 18 month membership (over $800) to do so after not even a month of being a member. There is no locker/changing room. Almost never anyone in the office and the equipment is old and poorly maintained. Not to mention if you are just one day late on your payment they will double charge you for the month without notice. Which is outrageous seeing as how a membership is already $40/month for the literal smallest gym in the area with the worst equipment. At this point I'm paying for the membership because they literally won't let me out of it without paying the full amount for the remainder of my membership even though I was injured and told not to lift or I risk permanently injuring my back. The staff do not care about the members, only the money in their pockets. Stay far far away from this place. Not worth the $40/month and DEFINITELY not worth the $80/month they are inevitably going to charge you if your late even 1 hour on your payment. Biggest rip off I've ever experienced and the staff here are only worried about themselves which is reflected in their poorly maintained "gym". Golds gym, the YMCA and even Planet Fitness are all much better options along with being bigger and cheaper I might add. At least at the other gyms they care about their members and are there to help not just take your money and run.
Some of the equipment is showing wear, and the towels when they have them are horrible. Local is convenient.
