Applebee's Grill + Bar, Jacksonville FL

Had an awesome experience with Sam and Renee. Renee was training but took great care of us, she knew what she was doing. Even being a night that the restaurant only put 2 bartenders and one server for the whole place these 2 girls took great care of us. Will come back just for them.

Please pay attention if a place is understaffed, and be patient with your service people!

I thought it was excellent our server was very attentive and very pleasant i wish I remembered his name but sorry. Good job my man.

Food was good service was excellent I serve returned what could have been an average meal into a dining experience for casual dining establishment the young lady who waited on us exhibited skills that would serve her very well in a fine dining environment

The burger sandwich we ordered was tasteless and flavorless even though I seasoned it, otherwise the rest of the meal was good and the staff was nice

I have to admit I would normally have given this place 3 stars after the cook messed up my food but this Applebee's has something special to the point I didn't mind the mix up I was lucky enough to be served by Ruth-Ann she is very sweet and attentive to her guests I felt as if I had an inside joke going on with her regarding my drink thou I didn't say anything to her she quickly went to the bartender to remind him I was still waiting for it. All in all I left with a big smile on my face and a full stomach so thank you again Ruth-Ann for being a shining light in my hard day.

Enjoyed great dinner and beverages with the my love button.waitress was super pleasant. Atlantic breeze Bucket and Wonton Tacos forgot pics of Salmon and Shrimp and grilled chicken all were super tasty and fresh.

It was absolutely the worst exspiernce the service was horrible not once did they refill my drinks my food was overcooked and i had to track my server down for everything then wait ten minutes for that. I most definitely wont be returning.

The outdoor bar is a great spot to hang out and drink with friends. Prices are kind of high (Jameson is $8 a shot) but the 2 for 1 deals on wells make up for it.

The waitress was exceptional and took care of our table courteously. She added to our enjoyment if the delicious bowls and kept our ice tea coming. We had just driven from South Carolina on our way to Daytona Beach and was tired but leaving refreshed in more ways than one.thanks

Can't help but be sick by the entitled users of this platform. There is a labor shortage and none of these people seem to realize how hard the staffs in restaurants like this are actually working. It's like "Lah dah dee. Everything is normal! Where is my quesadilla burger? ! " When, in actuality, the world is burning down around your ignorant selves.

Had the Soutwest chicken bowl. Very tasty. Waitress was very busy, but service was still good and very friendly. We enjoyed our visit.

We came to celebrate my son’s birthday and never been at this location before (Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL). I was very disappointed and will never go back! The food came out, but we had no silverware, then we had to wait for that to get it forever - meanwile my other 2 younger children already started eating with their hands. Then, I asked for some napkins and got a few small square paper pieces that they actually use to place your drinks under. Then, there was no ketchup bottle on the table (which I understand due to covid probably removed) but my middle son ordered a hamburger and they forgot the ketchup/ mustard to include on the side of the plate. I mean, come on now! Who eats a cheeseburger without ketchup? ! Okay, again, by the time we get it he finished with his food. The guy who escorted us in and was actually walking around cleaning tables looked sick, kinda sneezing in his mask or coughing sometimes. That made me nervous and I’m hoping we didn’t get anything there, except a very bad experience. These are little things, but made my night not pleasant at all! I would not recommend this place as this experience was NOT what I expected from a place like Applebees!

Very disappointed, arrived to a restaurant that was only at 25% capacity, and was advised that there was a 15-20 minute wait. When looking at all the empty tables, I asked if there were staffing issues and was advised that they had 2 call outs and a cook walked out. 2 stars given for honesty, but they could have seated us and then told us about the wait giving us the option to stay or leave or to go to the bar. Normally this good restaurant.

Ian was our waiter and did an excellent job. My daughter and I had great salads. But I normally get riblets. (I had ribs at Flanigans earlier in the week.) They do a good job with the covid restrictions.

Came to eat here with work group. There is social distancing, the service was excellent and the food was great. I had fish and chips.

Let's start with the beginning. We walked in the door and got some kind of a greeting, though it was mumbled and barely intelligible, with only a sidelong glance, no eye contact, no smile. Then, we were seated and the waiter asked if we were going to use the bluetooth QR code for menus or if we wanted paper. It seemed that he was not happy with the fact that we chose to have paper menus. When asked about the alcohol drinks, he wasn't sure of the answers and had to go back to the kitchen to ask about the drinks. Also, it took quite a while to get our waters. We had to ask a second time to get lemons and straws for our waters. Our salads came, but we had to ask for silverware and napkins. We asked to have a space of time to eat our salad before the main course arrived. We were about halfway through with our salads when dinner arrived at the table. My wife ordered the hand rubbed, bourbon topping chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. Her meal was great!
I ordered the 8 oz.sirloin with the same topping and cooked medium. The edges of the steak were medium, but when I cut into the middle of the steak it was almost blood red. The waiter mumbled something about it not being pink enough. So, the steak went back to be recooked, only to come back still dark red in the middle and well done on the edges. I declined and it went back to the kitchen, **again**! Soon enough a manager appeared, mumbled (his name, I think) and offered to redo it again if it wasn't right this time. The server arrived with the steak which was now getting very dry on the edges, but with the correct color on the inside. I took one bite of this piece of meat which now had a completely different texture than it should have had.
The manager took my meal off the ticket and we called it a done deal.
We used to eat at Applebee's about once a week and the bourbon street steak was always a good selection. Something has changed, both on the menu and in the attitudes and training of the staff. Now, I know why the parking lot was less than half full at 7: 00 p.m. On a Friday night!
It will be a long time, if ever, before I risk eating at Applebee's again.

Dirty plates. The food was ok but my guest was later sick from the food afterwards, otherwise the waitress was prompt and informative.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I sat at the bar the bartender was always asking me if I needed anything. So, 2 star food with 5 star service. I recommend this place.

Great food and not a long wait. They followed all covid guidelines so I felt safe taking my kids there. Not overpriced either!

We are at the bar. Once we ordered food and drinks the bar tender disappeared. Left us alone for quite a while. When we wanted the check he was no where to be found.
