We had David service our AC yesterday. He was on time, very knowledgeable and courteous. We are using Aqua Plumbing for all of our AC, Electrical and plumbing related issues and needs. Super easy to deal with and great service from the first phone call to the workmanship. I would give 6 stars if possible.

I reached out to Aqua Plumbing and Air Conditioning for a minor issue, and they exceeded my expectations yet again. Within a couple of hours, a technician arrived at my house. Notably, they sent their best person. The entire team exudes a fantastic, team-focused attitude. Alex R, our technician, is the embodiment of patience and knowledge. He consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that the issue was not just fixed but resolved effectively. I couldn't be more satisfied with their service!

Mitchell and Joe from Aqua Plumbing and Air’s electrical department did a great job running a new circuit from the garage breaker box to a new waterproof electrical outlet on our lanai for two powered hurricane shutters that will soon be installed. They added a new GFI outlet in the garage too for that special circuit.
They did a very neat job and I couldn’t be happier.

This place has changed dramatically! I used them for almost a decade and had them install and maintain two AC units. I have recommended them online and to neighbors who have subsequently used them. No longer recommend this company after my latest dealings with them:

Friday, 07/21/23 Mark comes to house

Tells us he replaced a capacitor but temporary fix as txv valve needs to be replaced

Part under warranty but $1k labor charge for 3 hour job! Sounds like a very high price so ask about it. He says can do time and materials but may be more than $1k!

In addition to TXV valve, he says today’s charge is $221. Charged $125 flat service fee and also charged labor for installing capacitor

During questioning of charges Mark was sarcastic saying he could just leave us without AC and also smirked and laughed. Told him that was very unprofessional and just give me the ipad to sign

After he left I did further research. He quoted $1k labor for what he designated as a 3 hr job. That’s a ridiculous $333/hr labor rate.

I called Aqua on Monday and asked to speak with a supervisor. They told me her name is Dianne and she wouldn’t be in until after 9 so I should call back.

Called back after 9 and she was not available. The receptionist said she would have her call me back.

Get a return call from Joshua who says he is the field supervisor. Explain the situation to him and question him about labor cost.

I said they are billing us $333/hr for a 3 hour job. He now says it’s a 4 hour job. I say ok a 4 hour job. What is your hourly rate? He says $125/hr then says it’s $152/hr.

I told him $152 x 4 hours is $608. He says well there may be refrigerant needed. I told him Mark told me at the time he was here no refrigerant was needed.

I said I would pay $608 but not $1k. He says that’s their price without justifying the extra unaccounted for labor charges, other than saying it’s a sealed system. When I said I’m not paying $1k Josh says well you can find someone else to do it.

I ask to speak with his supervisor and ask if it is Dianne. He said it is but I can talk to him. I said no I want to speak with her and he said no. I said so you are refusing to let me speak to your supervisor and he said yes. I said thank you and have a good day.

Immediately called back and left a message for Dianne asking her to review the recorded call as I feel Josh was unprofessional.

Dianne calls back and says Josh was totally professional and did nothing wrong. She says $1k for that job is actually cheaper than they would usually charge. I say ok goodbye.

I call Aqua and speak with Victoria in AC. I tell her not to proceed with any work ordered by Mark in reference to the TXV valve. I also email her stating the same. In addition I ask for a partial refund of the unused portion of our maintenance plan we have on both units. So far we have used only one of two services for the year.

After over 60 days, including repeated calls and emails, I have yet to receive a response indicating they have refunded the un-used portion of the maintenance plan.

I had another company perform the repair work and charge me HALF of what Aqua wanted to charge. The job took an hour and a half.

Recently had a new Carrier A/C heat pump installed at my primary residence. Everything from sales to installation could not have been smoother. Highly recommended!

This company has left a friend without a/c since July 19 so about 6 weeks on a warranty covered system and telling them that they cannot get the part until the end of September. This is unacceptable and I don’t recommend dealing with this company.

HI Cindi: I am certain we are doing all we can to get the part they need. If you would be kind of enough to share their name, and/or have them call the office tomorrow, we will gladly explain where we are in the process. We have ways to ensure people are not left in hot homes. I am certain there is "more to the story".

My Response to you is:

Surprised at your response as she speaks with Ashley weekly. She has asked if there was a part available on a temporary basis and was told that it would void the warranty which may be true as I have not looked over the agreement at this time. When asked about any interim resolution Ashley stated that you used to provide portable units but no longer do so. So she has been left with a "hot house" in the middle of record heat with risk for mold development as well as incredible inconvenience ongoing now for 6 weeks. AGAIN, this is unacceptable and find your response to be untrue regarding not leaving her in a "hot house". YOU HAVE! I am fairly sure that the part has been ordered and even though it has a long lead time, I consider it bad business to leave any customer of many years in a situation like this without a temporary resolution. At this point several ways to encourage a response are being considered besides writing a bad review such as reporting to BBB.
So there's your "more to the story".
I will not disclose her name in this review as you should be able to figure it out by your open orders with the assistance of Ashley who she speaks with a couple of times a week.

David Kurth couldn't have been nicer. This has been the summer of everything going south on me. David took care of my plumbing issue and now it's working as it is supposed to! PLUS, David was on time for the appointment, wasn't messy yet tidied up before he left. Big STAR for him.

Today (4/7/23 approx. 4: 15pm) I saw an employee of this company pull into a neighbor's driveway to turn around and to my surprise they didn't back out of the driveway instead they drove over the front yard and back onto the street! When I confronted the employee at the house where he was working he denied doing it. When I said I'd take a picture of his truck and report him to the police he said he didn't mean to do it! Which is it.he didn't do it or didn't MEAN to do it? If this is how employees of Aqua Plumbing show respect for other people's property I would NEVER USE THEM!

Excellent service, as always! David is always professional, timely, and honest about condition of equipment. I’ve used Aqua since I moved into my home 8 years ago for plumbing, air, and electrical needs. I will continue to do so as their service is exceptional.

Graham did the second scheduled maintenance on the AC system. Graham was professional, efficient, knowledgeable, conversational and is a credit to the training and high standards that Aqua sets and maintains.

The representative of this company was very professional. Prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. I have had this technician the last two visits and I hope for many more. Very respectful and truly enjoys his job. Strongly recommend this company.
